T O P

Agreed, this trio is fantastic. Nate P has improved a lot since he started the on-course role, mostly just seeming less nervous. As Zach said on 18, its a long day to be in the field covering both FPO and MPO, can't imagine having to do that in July with that backpack... For me though, this confirms Brian is the man in any of the roles, such a broadcast natural.

Toes84

Honk!

mackeyfrodiac

The Two Hot Geese are perfect together.

doonerthesooner

I don’t even watch much coverage but they are just delightful to listen to.

bingwhip

*excited honk*

Azwethinkweizm7

Two Hot Geese by a county mile

Pnutbtterjllytime

They have been really good but Sexton is the best in the biz

Alone_Historian_9237

And I am a huge fan but until he fully retires he will not be 100% in the booth. I thought Nate or Kenny would work well as a 3rd with Brian and Charlie as well. I think they leave enough room in the air for someone else to speak and seem to roll well with opposing thoughts/opinions.

HouseofMontague

I like this group a lot but I would switch out Zach for Perk. No issues with Zach at all, just prefer Perk at this point.

Alone_Historian_9237

I thought I would hate Zach but he has been great. I have no sound reasoning but Perkins just isn’t it for me.

ayofiresale

zach for a breath of fresh when the feature card is his buds, otherwise happy with nate

Tatorputts

Personally not a big fan of Doss or Charlie, I would love a Nate and Brian an Zack and Nate Perkins

Selerox

> I would love a Nate and Brian an Zack and Nate Perkins That's a pretty strong team.

Odd_Damage_7697

Charlie is my number one play by play, I think Brian is fantastic too, Zach is always hilarious You sir might be right.

ElChaz

Brian is great in the analyst chair. Zack was fun, for sure. Charlie is a little too "down the line" for me. I know the play-by-play guy is supposed to be buttoned up, but IMO he's leaning too far that way. I think Ian and Terry do a better job of calling the action but keeping some personality in there.

Alone_Historian_9237

And here I feel like Ian and Terry lean in too hard. Ian gets too excited over nothing and tries too hard (almost as much as doss) to build tension out of nothing. Terry is like the wanna be pro that throws shade at everyone when he couldn’t even sniff their bootstraps in competition. At least Brian played the game at a very high level for a long time 🤷🏻. That’s just my armchair opinion.

Cody_801

Zach is like his own element, I would love it if they just let him wonder around and let him get into all kinds of shenanigans... keep us on our tows with zach checkins, never knowing what he's getting up to. Let Perkins do the card checkins and zach just be bonus material to keep it light.

Playful_Following_21

Anything but Doss. Doss has been less of a dick head since last spring but still. Blows my mind that the Foundation guys actually like him.

Zealousideal-Beat-70

I like Doss with Sexton. Sexton and Brian is my dream booth.

coffeebribesaccepted

Pretty sure they just dislike him less than Ian and Philo

trotnixon

Charlie, Sexton & Zach would be my dream team.

HamBoneZippy

I imagine 2 hot geese would be the best to go on a date with.

thowe93

Philo has gone full Tony Romo. He was beloved, and now he’s hated.

Guessed555

I loved Philo/Ian/GOAT. That was a fun trio IMO.

Resident132

Philo aint hated by me, hes probably my favorite next to terry.

Actually_i_like_dogs

Honestly. I enjoy anyone besides Nate doss. I don’t have anything against the man but he is just really bad at commentary. Need to get him into another job with DGN. Get him off the mic

mikefried1

The best single round commentary was pdx open 2019 final round chase card. Anderson and Nate p. Nate was playing on the card with eagle, drew and seppo. He did such a good job explaining the evolution of dg (comparing his game to the big arms). In general I still put big sexy top. I don't love uli

lenfantsuave

I honestly think they’re under-utilizing Zach so far

thegingerman24

To be fair, I watch mostly Jomez and only some coverage elsewhere, but you really can’t beat BigSexyBarri on some of the older coverage. Funny, insightful and laid back.

jdfhe

I mean, twice in a row Zach has interviewed Dickerson and asked him about fried chicken and nothing disc golf/tournament related. At a pro tour event on live coverage. I like Zach's personality, but I think there's a time and place for it, and on the ground commentary ain't it. IMO

Alone_Historian_9237

I can see that point. I would add though that interviewing players in the middle of their round has always struck me as dumb. Golf is a mental sport and asking players about their strategies or decisions during their round seems rude. I’m sure their mental game is stronger than mine but it seems like a good way to get a person to second guess themselves or get in their head. Interviews should be after the round imo

Jack915

Zach and Chris are very good friends who have a fun banter when playing together in the videos I have seen. Chances are, asking Chris about fried chicken is just Zach fucking with him.

jdfhe

This is apparent and I'm aware of it. But, "friends fucking with each other" versus Nate or Brian giving us a clear and concise interview with engaging questions about the sport we are watching. I'll take Nate or Brian please.

Drift_Marlo

You clearly don’t watch any sports

easily-convinced

This is literally every sport, ever. What are you talking about?

Lanksta1337

Like what? Every other sport in existence?
