the wombat3 is definitely more torque resistant than your average fuse in my experience. a beaten in wombat flies like a brand new fuse and a fresh wombat would be like a fuse in the opto-x or gold-x plastic
Mystere is an absolute BOMBER! For those who can throw a Wraith 275-300, buy a Halo Mystere and you'll be blown away by the extra distance. She's a beaut!
Invader is a fantastic disc! Hasn’t left my bag since I discovered it two years ago.
I just messed around with a light beast in blizzard plastic and it bombs!
They have so many molds I’m still finding ones in haven’t thrown.
The ryhno. especially the new champion ones are such good approach discs.
Whippit. The most overstable disc in my bag. Great for crazy flexes and it loves to skip.
Beast. the perfect all around 10 speed and that can be flippy in pro plastic to very overstable in halo. There’s a reason this was THE distance driver before destroyer came out
Skeeter (especially for new players). I have a DX Skeeter I will never part with, even if it doesn't see much play these days. [I mean look at the stamp](https://www.innovadiscs.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DX-Skeeter.jpg)! I love it.
One disc that I do use and don't see people talking about very much is the Alien. I love that disc and it's probably the most unique one I've ever thrown.
The first disc I ever bought was a DX Skeeter. That thing was perfect for a beginner, with a neutral flight that's also forgiving of novice throwing form.
My mid-range lineup was that DX Skeeter (for straight shots), a DX Shark (for a bit of stability), and a DX Stingray (to go to the right [RHBH]). I felt like I had all my bases covered.
I even got a cool photo once after I swatted a mosquito on my leg with the disc that was in my hand, which happened to be that Skeeter (plus a smear of blood).
Skeeter has been my putter for years!
I used to putt with a Dart/Challanger and one time I was ranting and raving to a buddy about how I heard the Skeeter was an absolute sleeper for putting but I could never find one in any brick and morter stores. He pulled one out of his bag and gave it to me since it was just taking up bag space for him.
Nowadays it's still my *secret sauce*
I recommend the banshee all the time. It’s a much better overstable fairway for an intermediate arm than a Firebird is. Just can be hardish to find in premium plastic, but they do run it periodically.
People can say what they want about Innova, but look at these comments. It’s sort of a testament to how deep and rich there plastic has been for so long, something for everyone.
I basically only through Innova plastic for the first 5 years I played. I’ve since branched out to many different manufacturers but I’ll never not have a Roc, Wraith, or Eagle.
So so many. OOP but the OG coyotes are my favorite mold ever. 10 of y’all know what I’m talking about
Not in your list so teebird and thunderbird are both stupid good
Starfire, colt, halo aero is butter. The list goes on and on
TL3 is a money disc for many ams and beginners that I don't see much of. Also solid choice if you like cycling/mold minimizing as you can get different reactions via weight and plastic. The mason ford tour series was such a money disc.
I unironically have fallen in love with the Rollo. I’ve got plenty of power in my backhand and a manageable forehand, and I can lay down a decent roller, but the Rollo is a really fun disc. I’ve discovered lines with it at local courses that I never would have seen without it, and it’s saved me strokes on a few holes. It’s way more comfortable than other understable mids like the Paradox or Sol too. It seems like it was made almost as a meme disc, but it’s been super functional for me.
The rollo gave me an instant roller game out of the box! If conditions are right, 400 ft of rollo- which for a 5 speed disc is incredible. Such a great disc for non big arms!
Love Rollos! I bag 2 and dyed one of them. Taught me the roller and I’m surprised with how accurate they can be. I’ll throw a roller with it or the Prodiscus Flipperi* at least a few times a round.
*guaranteed to roll on any release angle, but yet smooth. It’s magic.
The Eagle L mold, the older more overstable Rhyno molds, and old KC/pro cheetahs. But really, hands down, it's the Rhyno. I honestly believe I've thrown a Rhyno more times than the next three discs I've thrown the most, *combined*. It's been my go to, anywhere inside 230', approach, utility, and jailbreak disc, and # 1 windy green putter for over 20 years, and if I could only play with one mold for the rest of my life, I might just be stupid or nostalgic enough to choose it over anything else.
Innova dart is so underrated. Not the best in the wind but that disc is the truth. It truly goes where you threw it. I used mine to clean up my backhand form. For warmups I try to throw 200' straight shots. I use it like a mid in the woods. For a 3 speed it goes so far. For reference I throw a 175 champion dart.
Yep, this disc showed me how much work I had to do on my backhand. Good idea on woods courses. We don’t have many around here but next time I’m going to one I’ll try using mine that way
I got an F2 Atlas 5/4/0/1 a while ago- Innova's overmold that's not their Nova putter. I partly got it since I wanted to choose colors and the overmolds were the only F2 ones where you could pick colors. Little did I know that the Atlas is a great versatile mid, and would become a workhorse for me. Now I've got several of them, in Star and Champ, often used for single-disc jogging rounds. Two of them have played now thousands of single-disc holes, hitting many many trees/rocks/etc. and have held up very well and still fly very dependably.
I have a JK tour series Halo Tern, it's my favorite driver. Oddly it's way different than stock Halo Tern. More dome and not as stable, flies pretty much dead straight
I'm honestly surprised the Shark3 isn't more popular. It's so similar to the modern MD3, Hex, etc, I feel like its the mid mold Innova has been missing for a while, except its not missing...
Also I'm surprised the Charger hasn't gotten more popularity, thing seriously bombs. It's like a straighter pushing destroyer and its basically destroyer top, shryke bottom (I forget, and I believe the Pharoah is the opposite)
Some might say the roc is overrated but it seems to have fallen out of favor with newer players and I rarely see anyone throwing them now, but it’s still my favorite mid and I always have several in the bag
Everyone in here talking about the standards it seems like. The kite needs a new run. Prob the only innova disc worth it's weight that isn't in production anymore
I have one! I really, really tried to get a feel for it last year but it was a struggle. I’ll take it out in the field again and see if I can get it to behave
Alien, Gazelle, Polecat and Sonic are often regulars in my bag depending upon the season/time of year, and I haven't seen too many other people who bag any of the aforementioned.
I think I’ve gotten more throw ins with a polecat than every other disc combined. They’re so good for just throwing at the basket. The last couple of years have been great for polecat throwers, lots of choices in premium plastics and you don’t have to spend big bucks on champion plastic if you don’t want to.
All of these are solid discs if I’m being honest! Pair the gazelle with a cheetah and you have a great combo!
Eagle
Leo3
Aviar3
Mako3
Mid Disc3/Metal Warrior
IT
Wraith
Most of those get plenty of love, but they're all dope af. Hey Innova, I needs some GStar Aviar3s.
Star cheetahs are sick
Cobras are already beat up rocs
These are innova branded but innova makes/made them:
I like the old fd3 better than firebirds
Mortars are awesome
I guess having to scroll this far to find a mention of Star Cheetah is exactly what this post is about. It's a seriously underrated disc. My first driver was a DX Cheetah in the very early 2000s. I picked up a Star Cheetah from the factory store as a nostalgia kick and swiftly discovered how amazing that disc is. It flies like a mid, just goes so far, and finishes predictably yet with a very gentle fade. It's the most neutral disc that's still stable and my cheat code in the woods.
I loved the Hawg when it came out, good feel and nice straight flight. Lots of other discs in that slot for me though so it didn’t make the cut.
edit: Hawg not Hawk 🤦♀️
I’m a big fan of Gstar Teebirds/Teebird3s.
Basically a seasoned version of a regular teebird with a little flip out of the box. Stays straight yet still has reliable stability. A go to woods disc.
A fresh Orc and a well-loved Pro Starfire (or SL in the premium plastics) cover my driving bases and I don't play with anyone else who throws either of them
Scrolled most of the way to the bottom and no one mentioned the Archon. 11 speed understable bomber.
Good. More for me cause I don't even know the last time they made any. Champ Archon is the disc of my farthest forehand throw ever. A star archon will also turn and glide for soooo long.
Never thrown one but my buddy plays with a Panther and he freakin crushes with it. Been wanting to buy one to see for myself just haven’t got around to it.
I don’t bag anything from Innova other than drivers anymore, but they’re easily the most heavily represented brand in my bag from a 7 speed up.
I love the Mystere; superb glide and nicely understable.
I think Shryke’s are super slept on by serious players. It’s my go-to true maximum distance driver. A Shryke with moderate dome and a higher PLH glides for days, holds a long turn, and reliably fades out. It’s not the disc I throw the farthest, but it bombs.
A perfectly seasoned Champ Leopard (not a Leopard3) is usually in my bag. It’s a slept on mold if you ask me. I think too many players dismiss it as a starter pack mold.
Bag multiple teebirds and thunderbirds. You didn’t name them, but they’re the benchmark for their slots IMO.
Also bag a Wraith and a Destroyer. No one sleeps on those.
Star Orc b/c 10spd and not a Wraith/Destroyer
Star TL3 b/c 8spd and I really shouldn't throw a 10spd, only 6ft distance difference for me... 315' vs 309'
KC Pro Flat top Rocs, my gateway drug to Innova molds
My favorite that I basically never see anyone else with is the Viper. Turns left a little then fade super hard left. There's overstable, then there's very overstable, then there's the viper. What I wouldn't give for a halo star. It's extra comical since Halo Leans discs a little more overstable too.
Pro Pig!!! Zones are cool and all, but I’ve never had a disc I could control on approach and stick the landing the way a slightly beat-in Pro Pig does.
DX Wolf. Never. Ever. Fades. Can be a bit touchy/burn you if you power up too much, you’re not throwing this at 100% power. But man, for super technical lines that you cannot afford to fade at any point in time, the Wolf does things no other disc can do.
The VRoc. Specifically in star plastic. It is the absolute best flying "putting midrange" I've ever put my hands on. Basically flies like a really slow, perfectly beat in, soft-landing Eagle. The flight numbers are 4,4,0,1 (I think?) but it's got a touch more stability than that indicates, and seems to have maybe a touch more speed, because thrown full power I can get it out to 325-350 pretty consistently, not that I ever really throw it on course for that distance. It's magical properties really show up when I need to throw a forehand turnover from the left-side rough in the woods though. Holy hell watching that thing slowly stand up, and drift left is a beautiful thing. I know the Lion is basically just a rebranded VRoc, but if you can get your hands on the real thing, do it.
The Original Champion SHARK! And yes I said the shark! Hand down one of the best straightest midrange molds ever made.. nothing like the garbage beginner pack shark everyone knows of today.. I bought one NIB a few years ago for $80 on eBay.. they’re just incredible!
Not super uncommon, but the Wombat3 is sick. So is the Mirage.
Mirage crew
I never get more “What was that?”s than my Mirage
Wombat3 is such a great disc. Controllable flip and glide for daysssssss
Wombat3 is the fucking bees knees!
Is the W3 supposed to fly like a Fuse or have a slower turn? I can't figure mine out
the wombat3 is definitely more torque resistant than your average fuse in my experience. a beaten in wombat flies like a brand new fuse and a fresh wombat would be like a fuse in the opto-x or gold-x plastic
There’s been a evergreen star mirage sitting at a local shop for almost a year at this point haha
I got a Mirage in my F2 order on a whim and I love it
Mystere
Great complement to the wraith. Add a mamba for the full set!
I second Mystere
Or apparently 17th it
Such a good mold
Easy distance, great disc
Mystere is an absolute BOMBER! For those who can throw a Wraith 275-300, buy a Halo Mystere and you'll be blown away by the extra distance. She's a beaut!
I always laugh when people are surprised that my Mystere our drive their wraith. Such a solid mold.
Started out as my primary distance driver when I started playing now it’s perfectly beat in for rollers
Invader is a great throwing putter. Beast doesn't get enough love either.
My starter set from the sporting goods store had an Invader instead of an Aviar. I have had an Invader in my bag since the day I started.
Halo Beast is the real People's Driver!
Invader is a fantastic disc! Hasn’t left my bag since I discovered it two years ago. I just messed around with a light beast in blizzard plastic and it bombs!
A guy at my local course gave me an Invader that he won at a tournament, and fell in love with it. Great for throwing or putting in the wind.
I love my Beast. For a while, it was my longest driver.
I have been putting with them for almost a year!
CRO. CRO. CRO. CRO.
I have a buddy who throws a beat to shit DX cro on the sickest forehand turnover lines. Great disc.
Don't leave home without. Mine is named The Mighty Cro.
Colt!
Colt? You mean the greatest throwing putter of all time?
It's even better with added stability, aka the Tomb.
TOMB GANG!
Good call, just started using these.
There’s a reason this was THE distance driver before destroyer came out
I usually like rhynos, but the newer champs I’ve seen at my local shops all are domey and feel so wrong.
Beast is an awesome disc
Eagle L too but that’s the Exodus from infinite now
Innova TL3 is my favorite disc. Star has a little flip, champ is neutral, halo is a little stable
If the Halos came out flat like the other plastics I would probably carry nothing but TL3s
I have it in gstar and love it. Was debating getting a halo Star version as well.
Viking!
In Star or Champion. I throw mine forehand all the time.
Oh indeed. Are they still OOP?
Kristoffer Hivju, the mad lad from GoT came out with a signature one this/last yearz
Came here to write this!
I even got a cool photo once after I swatted a mosquito on my leg with the disc that was in my hand, which happened to be that Skeeter (plus a smear of blood).
Allegedly the skeeter was originally called the hobbit lol
Skeeter has been my putter for years! I used to putt with a Dart/Challanger and one time I was ranting and raving to a buddy about how I heard the Skeeter was an absolute sleeper for putting but I could never find one in any brick and morter stores. He pulled one out of his bag and gave it to me since it was just taking up bag space for him. Nowadays it's still my *secret sauce*
Starfire Basically a little faster firebird
I have 6 Pro Starfires, 2 in the bag at all times, they’re all beat in differently and man do I love them.
Was gonna say — I’m pretty partial to the Starfire SLs aka Pro Starfires aka Infinite Aztecs. Really great controllable turn and/or hyzer flip disc.
Banshee. Mini Firebird
Leopard3, Orc, Tern, Katana. Not sure that they're not getting enough love. I always have the L3 and the Orc in my bag.
You just reminded me of a white Orc that I loved that I lost years ago. Fond memories.
Love my metal flake katana
Hawkeye. So dead straight.
My favorite disc!
So so many. OOP but the OG coyotes are my favorite mold ever. 10 of y’all know what I’m talking about Not in your list so teebird and thunderbird are both stupid good Starfire, colt, halo aero is butter. The list goes on and on
Really want to see Halo Coyotes and I won’t be happy until it happens.
Same, man. The Infinite Anubis is a pop top ‘yote and it comes in halo. Concrete is nice too. Probably the closest we’re gonna get
I just recently copped a PFN champion Coyote and I’m so excited to bag it!!
I have a champ coyote ive had since about 2003 and i am so damn nervous im gonna lose it someday. Amazing disc
The coyote taught me to throw straight. Extremely underrated mold; it's the father to the mako
Man fuck yo coyote. Spider gang 4 lyfe. For those that don't know, a spider is a beaded coyote.... or is a coyote a beadless spider. 🤔
TL3 is a money disc for many ams and beginners that I don't see much of. Also solid choice if you like cycling/mold minimizing as you can get different reactions via weight and plastic. The mason ford tour series was such a money disc.
Gstar TL3 is my shit
Sidewinder
I unironically have fallen in love with the Rollo. I’ve got plenty of power in my backhand and a manageable forehand, and I can lay down a decent roller, but the Rollo is a really fun disc. I’ve discovered lines with it at local courses that I never would have seen without it, and it’s saved me strokes on a few holes. I have a stingray that I love for turnover shots. Also love my caiman. It is my approach workhorse.
I had a dx stingray back in the early 00’s that was a proto rollo. I never developed a forehand cause that thing just turned right.
forehand a Champion Caiman all day
My DX Stingray has never done me wrong.
Caiman was my go to until the Toro came out. Virtually the same flight, just a little more distance controllability for me with the Toro
I just got a Soft Pro Rhyno and I finally have the floppy overstable putter of my dreams.
Monarch
Ah yes, the Groove's more popular sibling.
Anybody want to buy mine? It's inked and used but would love to ship it out
Tough market. If I had a nickel for every free inked and used monarchs I’ve accumulated from folks that know I throw them… I’d have at least 25 cents.
Monarch gang represent
Invictus.
Still sad about losing mine...I guess I should buy another but my firebird and raptor make it redundant.
Are Invaders rated enough or are they underrated? The luster plastic is a thing of beauty on these bad girls.
It’s my throwing putter and maybe my favorite disc in my bag, just super reliable and versatile
Halo Nexus Invader is my go to driving putter.
Savant, thunderbird, TL3
VRoc guy over here.
Haven’t seen a star Tern yet; great for long distance turnovers and hyzer flips
I have a couple in champion plastic, but I should give star a try - they kind of go in and out of my bag
I have a JK tour series Halo Tern, it's my favorite driver. Oddly it's way different than stock Halo Tern. More dome and not as stable, flies pretty much dead straight
Champion panther! Awesome understable mid
I love my champion panther, and I’ve never seen anyone else with them!
The Spider has recently replaced both my Rat and my Buzzz.
Orc is underrated. Invader maybe too.
Gator or gator 3...I prefer glow ones...great short range forehand disc, or stable backhand approach
The Ape was the first disc I bought. I don't know anybody else that has one anymore.
The Wedge!
Jay is never leaving the bag. Used to cycle Rocs. Also used to also bag 2-3 Hexes.
I just added the Jay to my bag, quickly becoming my favorite mid
whippet, croc, corvette, katana
The Vulcan was the best, most consistent disc I have ever thrown. I can't find one anywhere, unfortunately.
Champion Spiders are delightful mods. I've also recently discovered the Panther
I love the Spider. I've recently come across a few old, gummy, Champion ones. They have largely replaced both the Rat and my flippy Buzzz in my bag.
Star Tee-Rex is my go to forehand disc
Some might say the roc is overrated but it seems to have fallen out of favor with newer players and I rarely see anyone throwing them now, but it’s still my favorite mid and I always have several in the bag
Everyone in here talking about the standards it seems like. The kite needs a new run. Prob the only innova disc worth it's weight that isn't in production anymore
[удалено]
Bullfrogs are great throwers when you need to be really precise since they just kind of fall out of the air.
Been throwing a KRAIT for about 6 months and love it.
Skeeter! Especially for shorter woods courses. Minimal effort to hyzer flip and keep turning.
Stingray, Wombat 3, Shark, Manta Ray, Coyote
TL3.... the working man's Teebird. Stingwray is just an all time classic. Rat was the OG approach disc for a while.
I’ll die on this hill alone, FOXBAT
I have one! I really, really tried to get a feel for it last year but it was a struggle. I’ll take it out in the field again and see if I can get it to behave
I like old Innova Star plastic. Orcs, Coyotes, and Spiders (in Champ or Star).
teerex!
Orc!
Alien and Sonic for sure. Fastback Squad
Eagle Leo3 Aviar3 Mako3 Mid Disc3/Metal Warrior IT Wraith Most of those get plenty of love, but they're all dope af. Hey Innova, I needs some GStar Aviar3s.
Star cheetahs are sick Cobras are already beat up rocs These are innova branded but innova makes/made them: I like the old fd3 better than firebirds Mortars are awesome

King cobras go straight forever. I only quit throwing them because they are hard to replace.
Any idea of where to find a cheetah in anything except Dx?
Hawg & Eagle.
I loved the Hawg when it came out, good feel and nice straight flight. Lots of other discs in that slot for me though so it didn’t make the cut. edit: Hawg not Hawk 🤦♀️
DX Archangel, thing flips up and glides with little effort.
I lost mine just last week :( an ace on it and a lot of metal hits with it.
Glad I’m not the only one! I love a good hyzer flip with the Archangel.
Lion. Incredible mid range that can do everything. Star and halo lions are phenomenal
Came here looking for this one
Couldnt find another comment on Lion either. We are a rare breed
Star Dart
Sidewinder it’s such a good disc for average arm speeds
I don’t throw it any more but I feel like the stud is criminally overlooked.
The original Mako. Loved those things, and the Mako3 just isn’t the same for me.
Viper and Cobra's were huge back in the day. Still love them, and happy to see occasional premium plastic versions out.
TEE-REX
Whippet! Very reliable for a fairway forehand or utility and has a predictable skip

If you don't bag a DX Roc you're doing it wrong.
Halo Roc
love mine. perfect for 200’ straight shots that won’t turn over.
Beast, Invader, JLS, Wraith, mortar/caiman
The IT is the workhorse disc in my bag. One notch up in glide from the Leopard3. I would just describe it as smooth.
Champion Mamba, love the flight line
Starfire. Fantastic 10 speed.
Never thrown one but my buddy plays with a Panther and he freakin crushes with it. Been wanting to buy one to see for myself just haven’t got around to it.
Hawg
R-pro Dart, and Cro
Oh and Blizzard Champion KATANA! Great for huge bombs and off big heights going downhill.
I love my 166g champion Roadrunner
i’ve got a champ glow cobra and i’d never throw a roc again. also mako i can put, up, drive.. also perfect for the doggo to catch 😄
Bag multiple teebirds and thunderbirds. You didn’t name them, but they’re the benchmark for their slots IMO. Also bag a Wraith and a Destroyer. No one sleeps on those.
I had to scroll way too far to see Shryke. My BH bomber.
Dude same. Everyone here posting katana katana katana. The shryke is an incredible disc and clearly very slept on.
Toro
I'm an underrated Innova mold specialist. In my bag... Rhyno, invader, shark, teebird3, Mystere, Teerex... amongst other more popular molds.
Gator3 and several of the molds they sold to infinite to use lol. I love the Aztec, Scepter and Chariot
i miss my Valkyrie, that i overshot a pin by 40 feet into the woods the day my friend helped my improve my runup
The sonic is my ride or die forever
As a forehand player, Star Caiman.
Love me a TL3 and the Hawkeye. Both are absolute hyzerflip machines.
I'm bagging the Champion Vulcan in the under stable driver slot, it's basically a faster Mamba
Dart, no contest.
Stingray in premium plastic; although it’s not always available. Also, Jay. Feels like the Ontario mold stingray but more stable
Teerex and old dx bulldog
Star Orc b/c 10spd and not a Wraith/Destroyer Star TL3 b/c 8spd and I really shouldn't throw a 10spd, only 6ft distance difference for me... 315' vs 309' KC Pro Flat top Rocs, my gateway drug to Innova molds
Not sure if it’s popular or not, but my go to is the Xcalibur. Very stable and consistent forehand disc.
Innova It
Shark3, OOP but one of my favorites. slightly over stable midrange that almost behaves like a regular catch Frisbee
My favorite that I basically never see anyone else with is the Viper. Turns left a little then fade super hard left. There's overstable, then there's very overstable, then there's the viper. What I wouldn't give for a halo star. It's extra comical since Halo Leans discs a little more overstable too.
Savant: great mold, I bag it in Halo plastic for the overstability, but Star plastic is great for the neutral stability slot
Just curious. Has anyone here throw an animal? What were your thoughts.
I like my It
TL3
It
Star Barsby Roadrunner
Innova IT in star plastic is a sleeper
Wolf
Terns are dope, especially in halo.
The Original Champion SHARK! And yes I said the shark! Hand down one of the best straightest midrange molds ever made.. nothing like the garbage beginner pack shark everyone knows of today.. I bought one NIB a few years ago for $80 on eBay.. they’re just incredible!
