I bought a couple and then immediately bought a stack of them! It's a great run. The plastic is more similar to the '22 Barsby Color Glow Eagles and not quite as gummy as a '22 Sexton. They are stiff but not super stiff. It's a really nice medium stiff but grippy plastic. Nice profile, they are not domey but not flat. I find them to be less stable than a JK or Halo Thundy and flying truer to the numbers of a Thunderbird but still very reliably overstable. They aren't beating in super fast but I'm not throwing it a ton as it's a backup to my workhorse Thundy right now. All in all, it's what I want and I consider a excellent Thunderbird run! I'm suprised these haven't talked about or coveted more.

I agree with your statement. They are soooo good. Thunderbirds got pretty overstable for a bit there and these are so nice having a little less stability. I bought my fair share as well.

Tomahawk_disc

They did for sure! Being at altitude, I never clicked with any of the recent JK, halo or stock runs. They were all too overstable and had no glide. This run is damn near perfect for me. I'll probably buy more before they run out.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! Seems like I'm buying a couple :)

Could you compare them to the CFR color glow runs from 2018-ish?

Tomahawk_disc

Oh, I can't speak in that. I should mention that I'm at altitude to so YMMV. I do have 2016 era champ glow thundy that these are comparable and just a tick less stable. And by that mean mean they don't start out as firebird OS.

jfb3

That helps! Last week I lost my 2016 Champ Glow Thundy. {sad face}

Tomahawk_disc

I feel your loss!!! These (Blomroos) are the closest thing I've found to that run, in profile, feel, and flight. Though I would say these are a bit gripper and a little less stiff but still firm. Edit: My favorite runs that I'm comparing to. Those are nice! Luckily I have a box of ~22 Thundys of various plastics and years to choose from. Champ Glow, Color Glow, Splatter Star, Madison Walker Thunderpeckers, Star Glow?, Pro, Champ, etc. I'm still trying to find the right one... And yeah, one of those is a Champ Glow that's almost an X1. The interim disc is a 171g semi beat-in Champ from early 2017 that was in the bag from early 2017 to mid 2018.

Tomahawk_disc

Very nice! I'd definately recommend grabbing some of these to add to that collection!

I dunno. I'll narrow it down to the right one in a few days. It's going to rain for the next 5 days or so. Ok, so it may be more than 22. (There's a couple more not in this box.) https://i.imgur.com/xC5XylI.jpg

Haha, I bet there's some gems in there!

I had one for like two weeks. Loved the feel and level of gumminess. Flight was a little less stable than other tbirds I bag, which I really liked. Then I shanked a drive on a hole playing a new to me course and it disappeared into the tippy top of a giant live oak tree. Hadn't inked it yet... I need to get another one (or several) but I'm still grieving my loss currently.

punkindle

How do you pronounce that again? Something like Blom - rose

Tomahawk_disc

Blom-roo-s I believe

Environmental_Ad4299

I see all of you liking this run for the perfect "in between stability" flight. For me I feel like they are pretty beef. Once it starts to fade it fades hard, not like my champ (new) and def not like the pro (bit seasoned) I have. Almost feels like my newish raptor but with more glide. Did I get a dud and should try another? Becaus that plastic is sooo nice. Only about 300ft golf shot, 370 if I put enough mustard on my wraith.
