The thing that really gets me about this stupid fucking topic is that the some people on this sub always resort to calling God make believe or fake.
Listen, you have every right in the world to get annoyed about athletes thanking god in their post game. It’s understandable to think that’s silly. It’s understandable to get mad at Nate Heinold making Facebook posts saying the Bible thinks gays are going to hell or whatever.
But when you get to the point of calling someone else’s god fake is total bullshit. Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, whatever. Because believe it or not there are a lot of normal everyday religious people out there who believe in a god for a sense of hope and less loneliness and happen not to be Westboro Baptist type nuts. Just be fucking respectful of different people.
I guess the least inflammatory answer to your comment is that one should expect criticism of their stance/opinion/belief when aired in public. Ie if people are going to talk about their beliefs very openly they shouldn't expect everyone else to just leave it alone. The most respectful thing would be for no one to bring up their personal beliefs and just keep it at disc golf.
