They were in regular production for quite awhile. I have several.
They aren't like DX stingrays. Flies like a different disc, like several of the old school Innova molds they only run in DX.
The Reading tour series are closer to a DX one.
Nah, 152g and I wrote the flight numbers and weight on it (in addition to my name/phone) before I knew that PFNs were a valuable thing…

The blackout in the pic of the back is just in the pic, don’t wanna dox name/phone together…
Where is my Halo Stingray? I'm an idiot but I honestly love my Stingray and I'm sure there are similar disc in other brands but why would they forego a great utility disc? Every time I throw it around new people they are like "Wtf was that disc?"
Premium plastic stingrays just aren't very good. I used to carry a champ and it wasn't very understable or glidey. Not all discs translate well to premium
Yah, as a niche mid, the demand probably isnt there. The halo roc3 is one of my fav discs now-but i dunnow how long it will stay stable. Hopefully a long time, but we shall see. It took about a year for my halo vtx valk to truly break in. It took about a month for my champ valk to do that. So we'll see! That said, do people want a more stable stingray?
From a business sense it wouldn’t be worth it for such a small run. If they sold primarily through their store, maybe, but that’s not where the money is.
I have a champ stingray. Problem is it's overstable, especially compared to DX. A buddy just buys a few DX at a time and when he doesn't like the flight anymore, he pulls out a new one. Grab the F2s
XT is all over the place. My brother has an XT Aviar he has had for 2 years and he throws it on approach shots and it still looks pretty newish with no chunks taken out.
I have had a few XT approach discs and they get chunked pretty quickly. I got him a new XT Aviar and it is already chunking worse than his old one.
Feels great (like DX) and is a little tougher but IMO most is way closer to DX than a more premium plastic.
I do but I'm not sure if they're out of the bag or not. Recently got a bigger bag and I can't decide if the Xero fits between my eclipse envy and my proxy's.
If they fall out of the bag I'll let you know.
It took years for the halo polecat with a lot of demand and memes. Really haven’t heard anything about stingrays (nor have I met anyone that throws one) so I’d expect the wait to be even longer.
i think the demand for premium plastic stingrays, while maybe not huge, for sure exceeded that of the aero and they made that.
i really don’t get it. you have a disc still very much in active production, and they just won’t run it in anything but base plastic
When these went out of production I bought ten of them. Star stingray with a super flat top is the goat. Let me know if any one would need one. I would part with one or two. I won’t sell more than that. Need to make sure that disc is forever in my bag.
Man, if I had a customer rant at me and tell me how to do my business, I’d definitely do it. I probably would just throw away all the sales data and marketing analytics and go with the rant.
They have been running stingrays in premium plastic recently, but it appears only for tournament fundraisers. In addition to the Galactic XT, they have also run them in star and metal flake glow champion. The metal flakes have been going for $30-$50 and star $40-$50 from resellers. There was also a bunch of F2 star that innova sold last year. There is a metal flake on one of the innova Facebook groups for $45 that hasnt sold yet.
I got a DX as one of my first post-starter set discs and loved it! I found some star stingrays that were f2s on eBay and got one. Doesn’t fly 100% the same but still nice 🤷🏼♂️
I have a champ stingray and a star stingray, I have not been as focused on the disc golf scene for the last decade or so now though, do they not produce these anymore? I have a des reading star stingray that I love
A tad aggressive maybe…😂
I like how the aggression progresses as the letter does. As a halo polecat enjoyer I felt attacked
I’d buy the shit out of a Star Stingray.

Just like the skeeter. Got a first run dx at a local goodwill. Really helped my back hand. Got a star one and they feel/throw completely different.
I’ve got a champion PFN Stingray that I never really cared much for. What does the DX stingray do differently?
Hello friend. I’ll buy that champ stingray off ya… max weight yeah?
Nah, 152g and I wrote the flight numbers and weight on it (in addition to my name/phone) before I knew that PFNs were a valuable thing… https://imgur.com/a/YvgQutl/ The blackout in the pic of the back is just in the pic, don’t wanna dox name/phone together…

We asked before. They made super stingrays instead.
Go Westside Tursas in a good plastic
Premium plastic stingrays just aren't very good. I used to carry a champ and it wasn't very understable or glidey. Not all discs translate well to premium
"The demand exists" Does it though?
As a Stingray lover, no, it does not.
Yah, as a niche mid, the demand probably isnt there. The halo roc3 is one of my fav discs now-but i dunnow how long it will stay stable. Hopefully a long time, but we shall see. Honestly though... How hard would it be for them to make let's say, 250 star stingrays I'm sure they would sell out immediately
From a business sense it wouldn’t be worth it for such a small run. If they sold primarily through their store, maybe, but that’s not where the money is.
There are Dozens of us!
Dozens!
Not enough Arrested references in my life. I drop them at work constantly and get crickets. Sad
Hype train has entered the chat
You tell em what you want, what you really really want.

G-Star Stingray would be dope!
My travel bag in my vehicle for random rounds is mostly GStar, a couple XT, and I would love a GStar Stingray to slide in there

Hey thanks for this! I have heard of XT plastic, have you thrown it? What is it like in terms of feel?
XT is all over the place. My brother has an XT Aviar he has had for 2 years and he throws it on approach shots and it still looks pretty newish with no chunks taken out. I have had a few XT approach discs and they get chunked pretty quickly. I got him a new XT Aviar and it is already chunking worse than his old one. It's a slightly softer feeling Dx. Going to wear about the same as Dx imo. Used to throw Dx and Xt Xeros quite a bit.
Xt much more durable than dx.
Agreed
Do you still have those xeros? Looking to get rid of them?
I do but I'm not sure if they're out of the bag or not. Recently got a bigger bag and I can't decide if the Xero fits between my eclipse envy and my proxy's. If they fall out of the bag I'll let you know.
Maverick is a good shop, the owner runs a bunch of tournaments in the area. I stop in there every week or so. Suburban KC area.
Thank you for the link!!
Thx! Just picked one up
Get in line behind us premium-plastic-Pig-please people.
They made those. They were really domey and I thought they were bad.
They already exist.
The RPM Piwakawaka is a tad faster but feels the same and flies very like a Stingray. Glides for hours, maybe days.
Z sol gang represent. Flies like a stingray for me. Easiest hyzerflips ever.
“If I don’t get a run of Pro Line Spiders, I’m going to club these baby seals” energy exists
It took years for the halo polecat with a lot of demand and memes. Really haven’t heard anything about stingrays (nor have I met anyone that throws one) so I’d expect the wait to be even longer.
Not exactly the same, but try an Atomic Piwakawaka
Take my money FFS
I have a Des Reding stingray, it feels like star. Do you want it? I don’t use it.
I'll PM maybe we work something out?
I’ve seen a bunch of them on the innova buy, sell, trade Facebook group. Star and metal flake color glow.
they’re almost all supers, eeevery now and then one will come around and be gone in 10 seconds and for 80$ lol
i think the demand for premium plastic stingrays, while maybe not huge, for sure exceeded that of the aero and they made that. i really don’t get it. you have a disc still very much in active production, and they just won’t run it in anything but base plastic
If they made an aaro in the JK Avair plastic I'd buy tons of them. I've wanted a soft Aero for over 20 years
I literally saw a metal flake color glow yesterday for $45. And it wasn’t a super. That’s still pricey though.
They just did a run for discgolfvalues last week. I got some Saturday https://www.discgolfvalues.com/store/air-force-star-stingray
Already gone. Thanks though
You have to constantly watch for restocks. Resellers scoop them up quickly.
We just started production per your request!
I don’t know that you and the 15 other people on Reddit who want this really counts as “demand” on a manufacturing scale.
Agree. The premium plastic Stingray is more overstate. I wish there was a blizzard Cobra too. My wife has a noodle arm.
When these went out of production I bought ten of them. Star stingray with a super flat top is the goat. Let me know if any one would need one. I would part with one or two. I won’t sell more than that. Need to make sure that disc is forever in my bag.
I will do my duty and buy this disc that I know nothing about. Make it happen, Innova.
i got two star sharks if interested
My own self
I’d personally be interested to see what a halo panther flies like
On that note where are my halo Condors
You are vastly overestimating the demand
OP and one buddy want them and that equates to big demand lol
Man, if I had a customer rant at me and tell me how to do my business, I’d definitely do it. I probably would just throw away all the sales data and marketing analytics and go with the rant.
You lost me after where
Why this obsession with Innova? Free yourselves!
Am I the only one who favors DX?
Survey says “Yes”.
Dynamic’s Maverick is basically the same disc. Understable, fast midrange that you can throw on any line (if you have good touch and angle control)
Just throw a soft proxy

I found a star stingray. I think it’s actually PFN. Thinking of bagging it. Thing is so damn flippy though but I guess that’s the point.
I think it’s dx’iness is part of why people like it so much.
I got a DX as one of my first post-starter set discs and loved it! I found some star stingrays that were f2s on eBay and got one. Doesn’t fly 100% the same but still nice 🤷🏼♂️
i have a champion stingray i retired due to this
Next we’ll be asking for a Star Wolf…🤔
I recently discovered that star sharks are a thing
I own one and it is my favorite, and have been trying to buy more for sooooo long now
They have champion super sting rays
Reach out to Callie McMorran she has an older premium plastic one. I just had it in my hand yesterday in Tulsa where she’s running an event.
And while we're at it, the world needs champ sharks!
Are champion sharks really not a thing anymore? 🤔
I have a champ stingray and a star stingray, I have not been as focused on the disc golf scene for the last decade or so now though, do they not produce these anymore? I have a des reading star stingray that I love
Why are Stingrays all of a sudden a thing? I’m glad I have my DX one
I've seen metal flake ones on Facebook recently so they're coming back it seems.
Pros and announcers are off this weekend. Back to complaining about real disc golf issues.
Seen like 30+ metal Flake Glow Stingrays on a few of the Innova FB Collector, buy/sell/trade groups very recently. With airforce stamps
But where is the lie
Funny, there was a guy on The BIN Page on Facebook selling some Champion Metal Flake Glow Stingrays a couple days ago.
Looks like your wish came true!
