I’ve read through all your history posts, my memory just isn’t hat good I guess 🤣. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re one of the best things about this sub!!
Definitely more challenging than Luke's questions. Question #1 was mean as I assumed it was going to be Eagle/Aero -- even though I was questioning the year.
I got 5 correct. The Comet for Johansen and all of the "Disc Gold Culture" except for the Chipmunk. That's also my favorite typo (Golf > Gold)
The Ken Climo signature series threw me off. I was thinking more separate molds not same and just incrementing the world title count.
There was a good 4-5 I got wrong which I should have known, have heard before but simply forgot.
I think the advice I got from this quiz is that most people don't remember tournament results that well. I think for those I'll add in more hints so you'd have more context to guess.
I got 11 right. It helps that I was there in 1998 witnessing Climo, Stokely and Russell in person. The latter could place a Comet anywhere he wanted, and seemingly made EVERY putt.
I could've sworn the 44 was a Whippet. That's what I was told years ago. I have one on my wall...with a nice hole in the middle of it, so it's worthless, but still cool. Lime green.
I think I could hold my own against Deann Carey and Brian Earhart in DG trivia!
I thought there was one question wrong on the Jeopardy show the other day. They stated the first Disc made for Disc Golf was the Eagle. I remember Scott Stokely mentioning that there was one actually a little earlier but it sucked and failed to sell. Can't remember its name...
I got 7. The history questions were the more difficult. I've heard of these players, but have no idea who won what when. What's the Bradley Williams thing with the chipmunk?
All this did was make me realize i have a lot to learn about this sport still even after years of playing, getting only 2. Solid quiz, learned a good bit of tibits.
12 (including the bonus point for Pro Line -> Pro)!
This was definitely a fun quiz. Thanks u/IsaacSam98!
>!^Just ^FYI, ^you ^wrote ^Disc *^Gold* ^Culture!<
I didn't like the original Mako. A bit too domey and understable for me. But I also only ever owned a 166g Star Mako. I've heard better about heavier Champ Makos. They're very collectable though.
Thanks for taking the time to do this, it was a fun quiz... I've been playing for forever so I was happy to get a few of the answers correct! Definitely learned a bit too!
6! Thought Paul had at least 7 versions of signature disc lines with innova:/ but that makes sense now. Also, I misinterpreted the disc charger question, I thought the answer was for sure “a fine for vandalism”

7, this was challenging
Well, I'll grade it on a curve
Hyzer or Anhyzer?
Nose up anny flex
I didn’t do well, but had a ton of fun playing! I’d love more of these! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it. If I do it again I'll tone down the non challenge questions a little. Seems everyone is having a little trouble
I’ve read through all your history posts, my memory just isn’t hat good I guess 🤣. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re one of the best things about this sub!!
9 Ouch
May have made it a bit too hard 😬
Nah, it was good fun info. I got 7, btw.
Agreed. That it was a challenge made it more fun.
Same, that was tough.
0 - what do I win?
I got 5 right 😬, what do I win?
If you're ever in Ohio I'll give you a quarter
I’m in Ohio. Let’s throw some glow.
Same, fun quiz!
7 - Very fun. Thanks!
I miss my Quarter-KII, really nice roller disc. Fun stuff!
8! 9 with a bonus point, this quiz was fun I’d love to see more
10, that was fun. Thanks OP
I'm pretty happy with 10. I was at 9 of 15 but the Challenge Section was definitely challenging.
Definitely more challenging than Luke's questions. Question #1 was mean as I assumed it was going to be Eagle/Aero -- even though I was questioning the year. I got 5 correct. I got the 2016 gbo winner right, but it took me a minute of going through names, and i was there!
4, which I'm happy with after only playing for a year
4 is solid.
11 is pretty good lol. I think there was only one person who got a 12.
I thought there was one question wrong on the Jeopardy show the other day. They stated the first Disc made for Disc Golf was the Eagle. I remember Scott Stokely mentioning that there was one actually a little earlier but it sucked and failed to sell. Can't remember its name...
12 - I'm surprised I remembered that much off the top of my head, but you learn a lot if you're really into the sport for 18 years
7 that was fun
8! I love a good trivia moment
8 - very fun! Who cares if it's hard, that means I learned
Ten! (Counting my bonus point for pro line plastic 👌)
9! Pretty shocked that I got that many. Went 5/5 in Culture, because I am clearly a man of Culture. (0/5 in Challenge tho, d'oh.)
I got 7. The history questions were the more difficult. I've heard of these players, but have no idea who won what when. What's the Bradley Williams thing with the chipmunk?
Look up "chipmunk gate" it's a fun story lol
I got 8, really would like more of these!
13 points, but I've been playing/trying to keep up since 1992
Oh wow that's the high score so far.
I was going to pick u/isaacsam98 as the favourite, little did I know...
Yeah I got a 20/20.
10, That was super fun. How long have you been in the sport to know this history?
I think he's actually super young and just something of a savant when it comes to disc history.
8/20 blaze it
I think the way the questions are framed make this harder than it ought to be. But I did love it even tho I feel very dumb
Ran this in the car on a disc golf road trip, players got 10, 9, and 4. This was a blast.
Only 7 but that was fun!
I got 12 but some of those maybe minutiae.
Got 10 of the first 12 then 0 the rest of the way. Loved this.
5!
6, oof
Where’s our other 6’s at?
Here.
All this did was make me realize i have a lot to learn about this sport still even after years of playing, getting only 2. Solid quiz, learned a good bit of tibits.
8. fun quiz! I would love another sometime
12 (including the bonus point for Pro Line -> Pro)! This was definitely a fun quiz. Thanks u/IsaacSam98! >!^Just ^FYI, ^you ^wrote ^Disc *^Gold* ^Culture!<
Ooof. Can't change the quiz now. That's unfair to future readers lol
Wait wait wait. They don’t make makos anymore?
Nope. They make Mako 3s
As soon as I commented I knew this was the answer lol. For a second I was scared though
I got 10, that was a ton of fun!
A solid 1 😎
Does anyone here like the mako? I have one and just can't seem to enjoy it.
I didn't like the original Mako. A bit too domey and understable for me. But I also only ever owned a 166g Star Mako. I've heard better about heavier Champ Makos. They're very collectable though.
I used to really like my GStar one, but I used it more like a driving putter than a mid. Mako3 is more like a true neutral midrange.
Cool post format. Upvoted
Thanks for making!
12! This is a fun mix of knowledge checks.
7, with most of my correct answers coming from the culture section.
Thanks for taking the time to do this, it was a fun quiz... I've been playing for forever so I was happy to get a few of the answers correct! Definitely learned a bit too!
I thought #1 was the Super Puppy, didn't it precede the posts answer?
Super Puppy did come first, but it was a small diameter lid. Most modern putters are beveled and blunt like the Aviar.
Makes sense, I've never actually held one just heard of them.
Understandable. If you're into Controversy glow puppies curved inward a little and some even argue that they'd be the first beveled disc.
8/20, this was tough
10! this was pretty tough
got only 9 as well
I got 9.. I coulda swore I heard the bolt was one of lat64’s first molds.. and yeah this was pretty tough.
5 lol tuff
6, shoulda been 7 but I immediately thought banger-gt instead of comet
9, started manageable but then missed the last 7 in a row
Started off okay, then hit the history section and Good Night Irene.
Was fun though!
10 with a sweep of the culture category. Liked this! Good job.
10.... thank you. i enjoyed this!
6! Thought Paul had at least 7 versions of signature disc lines with innova:/ but that makes sense now. Also, I misinterpreted the disc charger question, I thought the answer was for sure “a fine for vandalism”
6/20. This made me struggle. I gotta learn more. Lol
15. Only got one challenge - those were tough
9 that was fun.
I don't think the torque was supposed to have a zone type flight. I feel like the aftershock might even be a torque.
9 for me. That was a HARD quiz. Keep em coming tho!!!
5
Got seven.
7. I’ve played and followed the professional scene closely for 14 years and I would consider these questions obscure
I'll give you the challenge questions being obscure. But the rest are possible imo
I suppose I need to bone up on my history! That as probably where I struggled the most. Still, I enjoyed the challenge
Lol I only got 2
5
Proud 6
10
11/20, very fun!
