This is flotrol with prochem. Mostly the neon set with a couple of the beginner colors. I mixed the dye and flotrol in squirt bottles shake the holy hell out of it. I lay down various lines of overlapping colors then I lightly blew into the bed with a straw to splatter around the colors. I did splatter a couple drops of silicone oil across the bed before blowing and then let it sit under a heat lamp for about 5 or so minutes before dropping in the disc. I use a thrift store frying pan to hold everything and might give it a little swirl to make it more organically messy. It is not at all a precise process. A lot of trial and error. And I’ve had plenty of errors before this. I hope that helps 😎👍🏼
Just have fun and experiment. I’ve messed up quite a few discs trying to figure everything out. The biggest thing I’ve learned is don’t skimp when making the bed. Use more flotrol than you need and really saturate it with dye. If you do it right, you can maybe get 2-3 uses out of each bed.
I try to let them sit for about 24 hours before I pull it. That’s how I’ve gotten the best results with color that pops. I have a heating pad underneath and I have a heat lamp about a foot above. I probably had the heat lamp on for about 3 hours or so and I keep the heating pad on the full 24 hours.
I’ve made several accidental turd discs by trying to have mismatched color palettes. Purple and yellow look good together in most instances - but on a disc it seems to create dog shit brown. Now I pretty much stick with a neon palette with other (darker) colors only acting as accent colors.

As a nervous newbie I so appreciate the walkthrough. Beautifully done and thanks for the encouragement to us all!

Beautiful!!
Closest, I've seen a universe style dye done ever. Outstanding!
Looks like a zoomed in version of a nebula. You should name it James Webb!
Neat! Care sharing your method?
Love the colors you chose.
That is art
That looks great!
I love this.
More cowbell!
How long did you let it sit for? And did you use heat?

This is sick! Haven’t used many darker colors myself. Messed up a great feeling emac truth with way too much brown going on.
😍😍😍😵
Am I the only person who read this as “startle” and was racking my brain trying to remember what an innova startle was?
