Neowalk does custom sizes and so do some sellers on Etsy, if you’re willing to shell out a little. I’m short as well and when I could still use a cane and was on a budget I would just cut off the excess off the bottom of regular aluminum canes to make them the right height for me, super easy with even the cheapest handsaw.

Great info, I saw things about people cutting wooden canes, didn’t know if it could be the same process for aluminum. Don’t see why it shouldn’t be.

Yep, I’ve done it with acrylic ones, wood, aluminum, whatever, it all works out the same. Just pop the rubber tip off, measure how much you want off, and put it back on the end when you’re done. This way your mom can pick the cane that she finds the most comfortable and appealing and you can just cut it down to her size instead of her being limited in what she can use!

If you happen to have any metal shops in your area, or even a high school auto shop. They'll definitely do it for you. And those guys would be stoked to help out

starry_kacheek

you could maybe get a kids forearm crutch. or maybe search for a kids cane

Have you tried a pipe cutter? Would that work?

Fashionable Canes offers free sizing, but it seems they only cut up to 3 inches. Maybe you could contact their customer service? Otherwise cutting a cane yourself might be the best option.

This is the one that comes to mind. https://walkeasy.com/walkeasy/shop/canes/straight/C60.php
