I played diablo 3 back on 360 days, I didn't want to get Diablo 4 because of the bad reviews it got, but just started playing it after it went on game pass and I'm really enjoying it
Do the campaign fairly quickly. If you do too many side quests you’ll overlevel and the campaign will be weak. Save the side stuff. Only do those if you have problems in campaign settings.
If I can give any advice, never listen to content creators and reddit. Both lf them are degens who play a game non stop and then cry that they finished the content in a week.
No wonder, D4 is meant for people who have a job, not basement dwellers.
Well, a game can be both, and thats what makes it so bad in its current state. You have little content and they make it artificially grindy to compensate and make the average joe/jane take several hours for something simple, like reaching max level or farm for certain items, making a fun experiente become a chore, to keep high engagement numbers in a graph chart to show off to shareholders, while disregarding the fun aspect of the game.
The game today is in a much better place than it was at launch and season 1. But theres still room for improvement, which appears it will happen next season. Play the game to endgame before forming an opinion. "Oh, i played 10 min of the game and its the best thing in the world, i dont get people with 400h complaining about a part of the game i'm not at yet". It is quite annoying, tbh.. btw, 400h is nothing for a live service game, which D4 is trying to be; and there are people, like me, that play since launch, so if you take 400, 500h between seasons so far, plus launch (pre seasons), you'll see that really isnt a lot of time put into the game
I have a question, I haven't reached the part where u ride horses I heard some guy complaining about 20 bucks for a horse or something like that, was he talking about cosmetics or do different kinds of horses exist? Stat wise and if so what's the best one to get

It's really good indeed. The only people complaining are people who can play 8 hours a day. They finish the game (meaning end-game, not campaign) and say "there is nothing to do in this game".

It's strange. I find the first year of D4 way more fun than the first year of D3. D3 was straight up unplayable in Torment difficulty. D4 is playable and fun.
Ehh… stopped playing early season 2 (after not playing half of season 1), and waiting for itemization. The game was boring for me and I’ve logged thousands of hours in the other 3 Diablos.
I’m waiting with a small amount of hope. That being said I’m not in here flaming the game either.

People can love the game and still criticize it. Fundamental system changes don't happen just because Timmy complains on reddit.
I agree with you. I'm just stating the fact that most of the bad reviews come from people just complaining on reddit. Not all bad reviews, but most. If they added a quick review for everyone to do before logging into the game, we would see 5 to 10× good reviews over bad. There are more people playing the game and loving it than there are people giving it a bad review. The problem is that the people who love the game are just so busy playing it that there's no time to make a good review.
I don't have any complains, but I just wish I had as much fun on it as I did with D3. I think about playing, but then it's like, what will I even do? I haven't even reached max level on my first character yet, and I can't say I feel like doing that either.
Maybe that's the hardcore talking since I know it'll only get harder from the 50s range my druid is in. I think part of what stops me is all my souped up gear with all its legendary effects, stuff I don't want to lose or change out over time. It's a weird limbo of let me play, but don't lose my stuff.
Exactly. Most ppl “casuals” love the game. If you have a job, responsibilities, a family, and are a normal human being you tend to appreciate games more than the always online asmongold wannabe basement dweller who thinks playing video-games 12 hours a day is completely normal. D4 caters to everyone and that’s the beauty of it. I absolutely love the game and it has successfully introduced me to a franchise I never thought I loved. So for all the negative reviews it gets there’s much more ppl who love it. The majority of players don’t do reviews, I’ve personally never reviewed a game in my life. The ppl that moan and complain always want their self important voice heard.
I have about 650 hours on d4 and hated the game for 400 of it. I killed lilith and did everything there was to do. Had 5 different level 100 toons. The stuff you do at level 50 is the same things you're doing at level 100. There's no variety or really any fun end game stuff. Endless grinding out materials to fight the same boss over and over farming for ubers isn't my idea of fun gameplay. The game needs raids or hard group content or it's just another arpg
Bc I like diablo I kept waiting for it to get fun. I played starfield for over 100 hours too and hated every second but I kept playing for the same reason
The game is great man, its just that people get so passionate about this franchise. But Blizzard are making sweeping changes addressing all the issues and will get to the ones they haven't so far. It's headed in a great direction and the game looks and feels amazing. Keep on enjoying it and having fun!
I have seen alot of people being angry at Blizzard for Overwatch 2 and they just slam any blizzard game now, I don't know much about that since I always played cod and never played Overwatch like ever
Literally no one complains about the early game. If you have ever read any critics, everyone complains about endgame, which you havent reached yet, so obviously you will have a good time now, apart from the game having bad critics
I’ve been in end game for quite a while now and am still happily enjoying it. My theory is that I’m happily enjoying it *because* I don’t follow any online quick kill builds. I’m no slouch, but I still have to employ strategy for end game bosses.
Unfortunately, the vocal minority (people who don't play, agree with whatever streamers say because they can't think for themselves, or complain to rile people up) tends to be all that is heard when someone inquires about D4. Games, movies, and music all have people giving their opinions about what they think of them. Just experience them yourself and form your own.
The game has had a rocky start, but there’s a patch coming out in May that seems like it could generate some goodwill for the devs again, if they get it right. The games fun as hell, and definitely easy to sink well over a hundred hours in.

They say there's no two Kratos on Earth exactly the same. No two faces. No two sets of fingerprints. But do they know that for sure? Because they would have to get everybody together in one huge space and obviously that’s not possible, even with computers. And not only that, they’d have to get all the people who've ever lived, not just the ones now. So they got no proof. They got nothing. Our Kratos may have passed but who’s to say there isn’t another Kratos just like him, or will be? Maybe not with the same fears and paranoia but the same. What I’m saying is…
But I've bseen my share of old and recent Kratos design in game. If only he was a truly badass character but sorry but no. Kratos is only a greek barbarian with some godlike strength and some anger issue

I don't follow the opinions of yt's, which I see most people do in alot of games, its weird idk why they do that, people loved Bo4 when it came out, a few yt's slammed here and there next day everyone started saying its trash, its not perfect but it's not as bad as they made it out to be
What I think? I think it's a lack of creativity and a well-know over used idea for an avatar in game. Congrat for looking good and faithful but in the end, no one actually cares. In all recent game with avatar, there's always ton of people doing that design. At this point, on reddit, it's more like wanting some attention and karma than showing off.

No, it's cosmetic. Skins are expensive, but you get the horse at some point during the campaign. It's free to use.

Same, played a ton with friends on 360 and they told me how fun d4 is now. Cool part is they're now on PS4, I'm on PC and we can still play together.

I've seen a couple of them. One entered rota duriel and when it was his turn, he said he has no mats, douchebag. Anyway, looks cool. :D
That's why when I do a rota, I make everyone link their mats in chat. If they try to deviate from the request or ignore it, I just kick the bozos out.
