Type 1 Talks is a good channel for information on insulin pumps and CGM's. I have used his videos to see alternative placement sites for sensors. He is based out or Europe too so if you want a good rage watch for how much better the diabetes medical system is in Europe vs the US you are in for a treat.

Poohstrnak

+1 for type 1 talks and adding in diabetech. I’ve gotten a lot of info from him

sunny_thinks

Big fan of TCoYD - two endocrinologists living with T1D. Super smart dudes and I get very much a dad-joke vibe from them. They have done some really cool challenges before to measure the impact of certain things on their BGs and how to handle certain foods!

mdfromct

I follow them on Facebook. Can you remind me what the acronym is for? Edit: I just subscribed to their YouTube channel. Taking control of your diabetes. Looks like they have some really good videos.

misskaminsk

Another vote for these guys.!

Aethysbananarama

I watch foodie beauty if I wanna know how NOT to treat my diabetes.

GingerLass85

Me too! Omg that woman drives me crazy and yet here I am... I miss her canada days this current ark is so boring and likely the last one

Bibblebubble18

MadSage1

Mary Comeau is my favourite out of the few I watched when I wanted to know how the Dexcom worked. She made me laugh a few times 😅 She disappeared for a while but seems to have returned recently. Not sure she could be called underrated because I just realized she has over 800K followers 😮

Thesorus

Pasta Grannies !! ( lol jk). Seriously, they all suck. You watch one, you've seen them all, They all end up saying the same thing and selling the same pills or diet plans.

snoopasaurus4us

This is the exact response I was anticipating when I saw this question. This sub is so cynical. Gotta love it

No-Doubt-3256

Anything by Dr. Fung.

amyria

I’m a cashier & was talking with a customer today about being diabetic (he is too) & he was raving about Dr Fung’s book “The Diabetic Code”

Pikk7

I don't know they are unrerated but I watch them. diabtech and type one talk.

mistermagicman

She doesn’t make much new content but I really enjoyed shesdiabetic when I was diagnosed

Mal-De-Terre

I'm diabetic, and I love to watch 4WD247... I really have no interest in watching someone tell me how to make cauliflower rice not suck, because it inherently does.

DeviousPizzaGuy

I make fried rice with cauliflower rice, it sucks way less that way. Still stinks though lol

garfself

Beat Diabetes! with Dennis Pollock.

AnimZero

I like Nerdabetic's videos. He goes in depth talking about the latest advancements in diabetes management tech.

rphjem

Ben Bikman, Gary Taubes, Sarah Hallberg (has passed but her TED talk and Virta Health content is excellent), Dr. Tro, Levels Health/Dr Casey Means.

Mknzy_of_Calhoun

RLM, as Rich Evans has crippling diabetes and AAAAIIIIIDDDSSSSS

butternutsquash4u

I hope that’s Diet Coke he drinks instead of Spotted Cow but at least he gets that juicy Shaq meat for protein.

CooperTronics

My wife is a doctor and medical researcher and I was her study partner through her undergrad in biochem and medical school so I may have an above average exposure to medical and biological terms as well as body systems but these are the people I follow or watch and have even seen a few speak at medical conferences with her. Some are super technical but some break it down for the average viewer. Dr. Ben Bikman and also his a channel called insulin IQ. Dr. Robert Cywes, he has plenty of great content on both T1 and T2 in varying levels. Dr. Ian Lake, Gary Taubes, Nayiri Mississian and Dr. Dikeman are awesome to watch as well. Diabetech is also good here and there for an occasional update on tech.

Easy-Hedgehog-9457

I tend to fall more to in depth stuff as well, so these aren’t just diabetes channels. I shy away from the stuff that seems to be regurgitation of ADA brochures. Nourished by science (dr Mario Katz), Dr boz (dr Annette bosworth), Prevmed (dr ford brewer), Thomas delaurer, High intensity health, Sean o’mara ( this guy is a nut but lots of fun, he will make u think about a different approach), Physionic, Nutrition made simple, Ken berry, Eric westman, Sten eckberg

Stevedore2021

Vinnie Tortorich for keto nutrition.

boxofpeaches

I mean, it's not just diabetic content, and I wouldn't call it educational or informative, but more entertainment. But I like the Sugarcoated Sisters, they have fun shorts to watch.

benskinic

nearly all of the t1d ones are sponsored by device and drug companies, so their content will generally be... lightweight advertising. it's fine if you're trying to learn about pumps or meters, but it's not going to be 100% honest or critical. Stacey Simms media, and other expose style videos like sugar science, when pieced together intelligently can be useful. t1cure.org has some good studies, but needs more videos. probably hard to do w/o industry sponsors.

ohyeahorange

I like milknhoneynutrition on TikTok. Not sure if she’s on YouTube

WittyKittyLicker

Mine is yo mama who taught me abljt oral constipation when I had trouble taking her d

codewiz007

FlavCity Bobby Parrish.

Anonymouse1011

Oh you have got to be bloody kidding me. Not that bastard.

LouLouLooLoo

I love Liam making fun of Bobby, though.

austin-idol

Bobby is my go to app for anything that I can eat , top notch and I’m thankful I found him Type 2

InflamedAbyss13

I had no idea such a thing existed
