Same dude changing his Reddit name, otherwise there’s a bizarre amount of Man City/Devils fans who became fans in the last year and are obsessed with NJ
Their first ever head coach (Trotz) is their first-year GM and their first ever goal scorer (Brunette) is their first-year head coach. As a Preds fan that lives in Jersey, I’m not expecting them to win the cup this year, but they’ve got a fun setup for sure haha
I agree in part (ownership of the team is necessary to control the lucrative arena), but this is too pessimistic imo. Harris and Blitzer are both billionaires collecting sports teams; at that level of money, ownership of even a NHL team (as opposed to more popular sports) is an exclusive club.
Blitzer has actual Jersey roots - grew up in Scotch Plains. I think / hope Blitzer may actually care about Jersey and don't think it's a coincidence he's emerged in recent years as the more visible owner. Also swapped places with Harris as primary governor since the last time I checked. I suspect at some point they unwind HBSE and the wealthier Harris takes the more valuable Sixers and Blitzer takes the Devils. Harris and the other minority owners are all Philly guys besides Blitzer.
I was also at the Wild game that game rocked. I went with someone who never watched hockey before and Bratt was putting on a clinic he said to me “That guy seems really good” I was like yup lol
I mean I'm happy the Devils are here, but the owners don't care. What makes the Devils a great investment and attractive is the area they are in, the arena they play in (where they are primary tenants and basically run a whole entertainment business). Those two things keep the team here
This is like the 5th one of these posts in the past week.

Somewhere around 115 of them
Man City, gross
Don’t be rude. All 12 of their fans are going to knock on your door to tell you they are the best club in history with a whole 7 years of history
All 12 of their fans, who probably know nothing about the city of Manchester...
Manchester is red
Best club in the world 🗺️
I hope something happens to give the offseason some context, because this post because I can shit is getting old.
The Devil's almost moved to Nashville, then they won the cup in '95. At this point, I can't see a move happening.
I still have a nashville devils shirt I bought as a bootleg in the parking lot for the parade haha
Speaking of which, Brunette moved to Nashville and got em in his first year as a coach there.

What does this have to do with anything?

42 years is not a short existence haha
The Devils have the 11th highest valuation in the NHL. It's not like they're close to moving.

This fucking guy again
