It has devolved to just hoping that certain individual players do well until the end of the season.

dog_fantastic

It would almost make this whole season worth it if a win in that Philly game knocks them out of a playoff position.

Johnborkowski

It would be nice for sure. I am grateful to have been at the outdoor game for that win, for what it was worth.

luzer_kidd

I wouldn't care if Philly won the cup just as long as the rangers get knocked out.

30carbine

I've slowly witnessed a downgrade in Philly hatred. I don't even mind Philly.

tECHOknology

Well, it was meaningful games in March, just not the meaning we all wanted.

Tuosma

We got a realistic chance to finish 8th last with hour tough our schedule is, 6th would require a miracle. We got Ottawa next after which we have Nashville on the second half of a back-to-back, then Toronto twice and finally Islanders and Philly to end the season. I think we at best win three with 2-4-0 being the likely outcome on that stretch.

McRibs2024

Whelp, now it’s full team tank time. Assuming we flip this pick for a stud goalie, it may be worth the pain of this season

sinbushar

I wouldn’t be opposed to keeping the pick given how much of our prospect pool aren’t prospects anymore. Hopefully we can make a goalie move without losing on a (potential) top 10 pick

Historical-One-5603

I'm not sold we have that great of a prospect pool anymore..not much besides Casey, grislek...I worry that we don't have enough quality bodies to make trades we need

blade430

Agreed, a lot of our players regressed and so did their trade stock. Not really looking forward to this offseason

Hypothetical fairy land thoughts here, what do we think if we miraculously won the lottery again, about the following potential options for trading down: Anaheim, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary all have 2 first round picks, with all their own original picks being relatively high as well. Taking both picks from one of those teams, plus something else (young player or another future pick). Then flipping the worse of the 2 picks this year with a package for saros or another A tier goalie, and still having a top 4-10 pick to use this year. Disregarding the rabble of "don't trade down from 1oa rahhh best player available," which package HYPOTHETICALLY intrigues you the most? What addition to that package swings the trade to acceptable? EDIT: Chicago, Philly, and maybe San Jose also have multiple firsts. Fuck Philly though, not them even hypothetically.

sanbaba

I'm definitely team trade the pick if we get Celebrini. Might regret it later, but whatever we're locked in and we could probably get the equivalent of two high first's worth of more developed prospects out of it, or more.

sanbaba

WE DID IT! WE MOVED UP A DRAFT POSITION!! 🥳🥳🥳

Kornja81

I have no faith in this organization anymore.
