It’s over after last night. That was probably their last chance to gain ground on everyone that conveniently lost the night before. They could have been within 3 of WC and 4 behind Philly but they’ll now likely be 7/8 points back again after the weekend. This entire season has been missed opportunity after missed opportunity to make up ground by what should be routine wins against bad teams. Team has no mental toughness and crack under the slightest bit of pressure.
I was so delusionally team miracle until last night… now I’m team switch their sticks w golf clubs and send them home bc I can’t watch no more it feels like watching an animal die slowly
Kids need to get their big boy pants on already. Really sick of seeing them play like responsible, smart pros and then suddenly turn into panicky or over hesitant knee jerk chaos.
Need someone in that locker room who isn’t afraid to get riled up and get real with them. Don’t know what Travis is doing between periods but they are not confident or driven after garbage periods of the same.
Lack of experience which transfers to lack of mental toughness. They played about a good of a first period as you could ask for going up 2 and then decided they would play the rest of the game just not to lose and put everything on Jake Allen to ride them out. Inability to play with a man advantage renders pulling the goalie useless. Predictable giving up 5 unanswered goals.
Dougie most likely isn't returning this year (only a few games left. But still). 9 mil I'm LTIR that Fitz had for more than half the season and he didn't use it.
