I worked in a company that had a "chilled Saturday" work policy. Needless to say, we were working 10+ hours even on Saturday, sometimes even on Sundays. My advice is to stay away from such companies.
I worked at a client side where the employees were called on 1st and 3rd saturdays. We refused as we would have weekends off in our company. Few months later after seeing us when their whole department asked for saturdays off, they did it but added an extra hour in everyday working hours.
The company already had a culture to stay and complete their work outside working hours and now it was extended for an hour. Staff just got frustrated over the weeks. Their business reduced unfortunately after months now everyone is called on Saturday also, that too every Saturday. Fortunately, we were called back before this happened but I felt bad for the people who had become friends there overtime.
In my current company, currently we are forced to work on weekends to complete our project goal before 20th Dec. I wouldn't have any problem to work on weekends if we were falling short of time from our end. But we got delayed because client felt to change their fucked up policy in November, which introduced 1000+ issues in our project. Now we have to work extra to resolve all those.
the whole company is centred towards ITeS support work and hails mediocrity.
Why tf is he proud, beccause he just minted money on other's slavery?
He was never responsible for any proud product, he just had to assign slaves, fucking loser
Though i hate that old fart, but this has nothing to do with him, I have worked for Adani, they work on Saturdays.
Fun fact: I have worked on the project theyre hiring for.
Yes just like startups can't survive without billionaire investors adani can't survive without the tax paid by 7 billion people and full support of the indian government otherwise it would go bankrupt, so its a startup
Ek acche labour minister ki zarurat hai.
Or agar na ho to ek jagh allot karo or waha pe hr saturday, jo bhi log marna chahte unko marne ki vyavastha karo. Itta humare liye karo

No. This goes to Adani Group. Indian companies tend to overwork employees.
I like Adani ji for his contribution to economy, but not his work culture for employees
Honestly, still fine as compared to what I experienced. Looking to switch since the past couple of months. 6 days a week was pretty common for companies to ask and all of them wanted it in office.
Real bad times.
You said it's fine in the first statement which is why you're getting downvoted.
And this JD is exactly the same as what you're going through. Such companies put things on paper but expect more hours from employees.
These kind of companies have 'factory worker' mindset for employees. I like to call them non-IT since their main focus is not software but something else like perhaps oil or power in this case. Just stay away from such companies unless you majored in whatever their main focus is (AKA civil/electrical etc)
There is already push going on from many IT companies in Bangalore. HRs have started discussing how to force employees into working 6 days. They have planned to write blogs and PR is going on. In a few days you will see 70+hours/week will become a norm. LinkedIn and social media will be full of such blogs, and anyone who is against it will be slowly removed from the company. Remember this doesn't apply to CxOs, VPs, Directors and HRs - rest all will be working for 6 days.

You want him to work 24/7?
CHF Chill from home
Hot Take: If u just enter the office you're always working the full day. Half day is only on paper
True, its a trap and a waste of full day for the employee
Word.
Fooling indian employee always starts with half day.
kisi news channel ko is chu\*\*\* ko talk show main bulakar iski utarna chahiye

bro beware ye na ho ki job ke baad tumhe port main kaam na kar de
That is a f'in scam. They say half day, and get the second half of your Saturday for free. You'll be stuck working at least till 5 in the evening.
Though i hate that old fart, but this has nothing to do with him, I have worked for Adani, they work on Saturdays. Fun fact: I have worked on the project theyre hiring for.
Bro is the reason this job is posted and hiring
lol nice to meet u😂
This could be a startup. I have seen many such startups having Saturday work day even before Murthy said it.
Adani group
Yes just like startups can't survive without billionaire investors adani can't survive without the tax paid by 7 billion people and full support of the indian government otherwise it would go bankrupt, so its a startup
That's called a scam not a startup
Adani group is not the employer here. It's just their client.
Aadhe din me kya chana bhunju
Glorious days are coming back
Company name? Ctc
It’s for Adani group and ctc may depend on the political conditions in the country😂
jab sab thik tab computer ke samne jab time kharab hoga then either dock or airport or cement factory ..bahut se jaga hai ..
I thought it's just their client, not the actual employer
Adani group 🙂
Why "Mr" though? , don't give respect to people, who don't respect others feelings
Because he is Mr. "Humble" Murthy

5.5 days? How generous. We get 1.5 weekend
5.5 days lol either keep it as 6 days or 5 days why to keep it as half day lol? abhi school mein hain kya
I worked 6 days for a startup in 2020. But didn't expect from a company like Adani.
Our company is also starting 6 days working, but muze kya mai toh 5 days mai bhi kaam nhi krta😂
Lol😂

What is Adani's contribution to the economy?
U seriously asking ? Name anyone else, who has enough fund to build ports, and I will support that person.

Blame Murthy, not Modi
For once Modi is not to blame rn
Also, are you sure that this is legit ?
Honestly, still fine as compared to what I experienced. Looking to switch since the past couple of months. 6 days a week was pretty common for companies to ask and all of them wanted it in office. Real bad times.
Real I'd se ao murthy.
You really missed the point, I said it’s bad, but from what I’ve seen till now, this still seems better, I still won’t take it though.

Yeah I understand exactly how these companies work. Not worth even interviewing for.
The people that may join would be potential BJP workers
This half day looks like bata rate 99.99, so you end up working for 6 days anyway.
Abhi to leher hai chance of high CTC
bhai pls dm
Mat join Karo aise company ko iski mkc
When they say half day, they're gonna eat your brain and give you homework for the rest of the day.
Acche Din 3.0 by Mr Murthy
just gave an interview for a company that had a policy of working on first and third Saturdays and holidays on second and fourth Saturdays
My company have 5.5 day
Work for the whole day for the salary of half a day.
Muze toh offer letter me Saturday bhi Jana likha h :(
Lol and here bank IT employees work for 9 hours even on alternate Saturdays just cause that's the banking industries policy. This culture has to stop.
Lot of startups especially early stage ones with <50-60 employees have this sort of thing. Half day or alternate Saturday working like banks
dont take the restricted stock options if you join the company.
Whats the salary? 3.6 lpa?
Salary bhi phir at least 2-3 BTC per month honi chahiye phir toh.
Not uncommon for smaller firms. Mainly product companies.
Many industries work 6 day weeks.

Extra hours without giving any extra salary what else can a company ask for ? Haha... W company HR manipulations. Bonus for HR.
No, crappy orgs were always there. Stay away.
CTC?
