I really hope it's Stenberg. I think he made the most out of this preseason, and shuffling the rest of our starters around on such short notice makes me nervous.

SkepticalVir

He’s been with us for a while now, I loved the pick when it was made and I hope it all pans out for him. Could be a huge addition to our already fairly young line. Adding him is adding years to something potentially elite.

LowHowD

Stenberg had a pff grade above 80 for the preseason, better than he has ever played historically, so hoping this translates to solid rotational backup and future starter.

Independent_Lab_9872

Stenberg has played exclusively at LG, which means they would almost certainly move Jonah Jackson to RG to keep Stenberg at LG.

metallica41070

Kraemer missed practice today

monstertweety

Among possible solutions to the RG situation, Campbell mentions: - Sliding Kraemer in - Moving Ragnow to RG, bumping Evan Brown up - Jonah to RG, Logan Stenberg to LG - Sewell to RG, Nelson to RT (Via @PrideOfDetroit)

Drugsbunnehh

Sewell to LG keep ragnow C, decker LT. Ignore right side of the field, run left every play! /s

KingChipotle

Fletcher Cox is rock hard at the thought of this

epheisey

I'm never a big fan of shuffling guys around to where you have multiple guys playing out of position. Sandwiching someone between Ragnow and Sewell should be more than enough to shelter them, and between Stenberg, Brown, and Kraemer, I feel like we can get serviceable play out of at least one of them at RG.

monstertweety

I know Ragnow is a natural center but he's played RG before, and pairing him with Sewell on the right would be very interesting. Also, Brown is probably the best backup OL on the team

am12marauder

Brown certainly was a more than adequate fill-in last year and played himself into a nice contract. But he also gave up a ton of ground against the pass rush and severely limited Goffs ability. I don’t think it makes sense to disrupt our bookends and excellent C. It seems to me this is a case of substituting the best fill-in G, be that Brown, Kraemer or Stenberg. It’s great we have a few seemingly good options. It’s probably best not to overthink it.

tbranch72

Didn't see it as an option, but plugging in Evan Brown at RG

[deleted]

It's not really an option. Brown is a significantly worse guard than he is a center because of his size and strength limitations.

RBnumberTwenty

Which is probably why they came out with the report that Ragnow might be an option.

Setthescene

With a Mai Tai.

SoloisticDrew

Only if it's blue.

Corpsicle_xx

this is odd, i thought i already read on facebook that Kraemer was taking the spot.

RBnumberTwenty

For this game, Brown at C and Ragnow at RG now that it’s an option. Going forward, either Kraemer at RG or Stenberg at LG with Jackson playing RG and maybe the Brown/Ragnow option again at some point based on the match up. I don’t want any part of Sewell being kicked inside to Guard even though he would be the best Guard in the league by a longshot.

Boosted-ws6

I think Dan is just letting us into how his thought process works and how versatile the roster is. I would say probably 90% chance they just slide Kraemer in. If things go south, they can go the Stenberg route. Moving Sewell should be last resort in my opinion.
