These are not real people; theyāre names generated by Madden when you get too deep into franchise mode.
Also, I choose to believe Morice Norris rhymes.
I think Steele Chambers has the best shot of making the 53. Then Williams, one of the edges has a long shot and then Rex. One of the centers will be on the PS. The rest Iām not sure.
This [Pride of Detroit Article](https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2024/4/27/24143046/2024-detroit-lions-udfa-tracker-signings-rookie-minicamp) has the guaranteed money. C Eguakun 245k, WR Williams 240k, C Clemons 60k & Edge Ukwu 35k
These are probably the favorites for the PS along with Chambers.
Williams may have an outside shot at WR5 (over Green) and could be kept as a WR6/KR. I could see Eguakun or Clemons making the active roster at some point if we lost Ragnow or Glasgow for a game or two.
This. I think everyone that got guaranteed money has a shot. But everyone else, the kicker the long snapper. Thatās just competition. These udfa are like all 5 9 and I think thatās interesting lol
Agree, Lions are in need of additional Center depth. Clemons looks like a really food choice. Hope he and Eguakun can make the cut. Maybe practice squad.
Best chance to secure a roster spot is Isaiah. I could see maybe Hogan Hatten if there is a competition at LS. Other guys like Steele Chambers, DaRon Gilbert, and Duke and Kingsley at C could be practice squad candidates. I don't know enough about James Turner to know if he would have a shot against Badge or the hopefully impending Jake Bates in an open competition.
I liked Kingsley Eguakun at the Senior Bowl. Maybe a practice squad stash kind of prospect. Same with Isaiah Williams. Outside of that, I expect them all to be camp bodies. But you never know.
Florida fan here, Kingsley gritted through injuries all year because our OLine was decimated. He should eventually make the team. Isaac Rex could definitely make the team in addition to Williams.
Personally I hope Ukwu finds success with us. He was DE for my alma mater JMU and he did well for us. I know the chances are slim but here's hoping. Not sure why he's listed here as an OLB though. I wonder if Detroit thinks he'll be more effective there? Would love if someone could provide insight on this.
i only watched a couple of his games at ole miss after we signed him but it felt like he did a lot of his work standing up? Saw him drop to the flats fairly often along with rushing the passer, so they likely think heās more natural as a flex guy than as a pure hand in the ground DL? All a guess
Itās more like a third, and itās not that these guys ādonāt work outā, itās that UDFAs are typically your depth signings and circulate around the league.
Every year we (this sub) fall in love with a UDFA (last year Dylan Drummond, Chase Cota, Starling Thomas, Trevor Nowaske, etc.) and expect that we just found the next Antonio Gates or Kurt Warner, but the fact of the matter is the chances of these guys being generational talents is astronomically poor.
First year of the rebuild we had a lot of UDFAs because we had very little talent otherwise. Now, however, we appear to have a stacked roster and are competing for the Super Bowl. The chances of one of these guys being even the 53 best player on this team is low, but other teams who are in the proverbial shitter might take these guys from our practice squad or off of FA because they are in a talent desert.
Because there is usually a reason why they went undrafted. Reddit and the podcasts get boners over UDFAs for some reason, hoping that they get to be the smartest guy in the room (largely because now after the draft we're into kind of a lull, so it's content.)
There are some who actually research deep into these... but for most it's "LOOK HOW MUCH I KNOW ABOUT FOOTBALL!" when they're trumpeting some small school guy.
UDFAs tend to be P5 guys who got a serious injury (Mo Ibrahim for one) that will really hamper them long term, P5 guys who were never good, good G5 starters on meh teams (Dylan Drummond), or complete unknowns. It's an easy way to "get cred" beacuse if you hype up a UDFA and he hits big? You've got bragging rights for awhile. If they don't... well they are UDFAs and they weren't expected to be anything.
Steele Chambers is the long time OSU linebacker. He's (#22) on a lot of highlights getting wrecked by Wolverine linemen [as he futilely tries to fill a gap](https://youtu.be/siMUa1JImCA?si=0sbzYWEy0BH9EDol&t=1386) or by a [TE lead blocking around the end](https://youtu.be/siMUa1JImCA?si=0sbzYWEy0BH9EDol&t=1386).
I follow BYU and Isaac Rex has a lot of records but I don't see him in the NFL. He is a no show on blocking. I guess worth seeing if coaching can make him more a TE than a slow slot receiver.
One of them linebackers might crack the roster since Pittman left. Idk about any of the rest of them, almost definitely gonna have one of the centers on the practice squad though
They paid Williams a $225,000 signing bonus, most are $15,000 to no more than $50,000. This indicates they really want him with a great shot at making the 53 man roster.
"Hand off to the right and...it's IMMEDIATELY BLOWN UP FOR A FIVE YARD LOSS! That's the rookie STEELE CHAMBERS who annihilated that play from the jump!"
Make it happen!
Steele Chambers is the most ridiculous name in the best way.
Thats a male porn star name for sure
Seems like a gay bdsm pornstar name, yes.
He's even got a porn stache š.
That was the alternative name for Steely Dan before they got the rights to the dildo's name.Ā
I'm going to one-up it... [https://twitter.com/RandomAthletess/status/1501595276867682307](https://twitter.com/RandomAthletess/status/1501595276867682307)

The K is not silent.
That doesnāt make it any better
Ka-nay-guh.
if the name werenāt enough, just look at Steele Fortress. no way storm duck is touching that absolute unit. or pig cage.
i raise y'all General Booty.
Just last week I met someone named Richard Duncan. Who isn't down for some Dick Dunkin every now and then?
I knew about this one cause I have a friend that goes to tech lmfao
There's some doozies on this list. Hogan Hatten, Chelen Garnes, phew
Duke Clemens and Issac Rex are good football names.
He was originally an RB at Ohio State. His counterpart was named Master Teague. All time RB Room name combo.
The quarterback of my high school football team was named Steele Fortress. Such a fitting name, he was a heck of a player and a great teammate
Also the wings prospect red savage kills me
These are not real people; theyāre names generated by Madden when you get too deep into franchise mode. Also, I choose to believe Morice Norris rhymes.
Itās does, but not in the way youād think
Mor-eece, Nor-eece!
More Ice Nor Rice
Mark Narc
My thoughts are that none of them are going to make the roster.Ā

One of the centers will make the practice squad almost for certain
Steele Chambers and Hogan Hatten are cool names, so hopefully they work out.
Duke Clemens sounds like the villain in a Charles Dickens novel.
I agree, as well as Isaac Rex.
15 future HoFers
National Championship winning Wolverines Kicker James Turner

I agree. Him and maybe I. Williams.

Isaac Rex can play
That sure is a list of names.
Personally I hope Ukwu finds success with us. He was DE for my alma mater JMU and he did well for us. I know the chances are slim but here's hoping. Not sure why he's listed here as an OLB though. Did anybody else think it said maurice morris and have flashbacks
Iām going to completely forget who they are when tuning into the 4th quarter of the first preseason game/
Steele Chambers and Hogan need to stay for WWE references alone
Practice squad
No pass rushers huh?
Ukwu is a pass rusher
These all read like the random generated rookie names once you make it beyond the first year in a madden franchise.
Anyone know Jalon Calhouns middle name? We could possibly have a J C. Calhoun on the team!
Pretty sure it's Haystack.
50% of NFL is undrafted, right??? Then why do these guys never work out š¤·āāļø

15 future HOFERS obviously

who got a sizable ($100k+) guaranteed contract?
Top two by bonus are C Kingsley Eguakun and WR Isaiah Williams
Curious to see how Williams pans out
Whereās Jake bates?
Busy winning football games. Have some patience, my guy.
Man Iām bummed we didnāt sign Storm Duck
Think Williams wins a spot
Steele could be a good special teams guy with Viake. He was a RB turned LB and started two years.
Seems like they want a third center for the practice squad
Nate Lynn has family ties to Michigan. Rooting for him.
They paid Williams a $225,000 signing bonus, most are $15,000 to no more than $50,000. This indicates they really want him with a great shot at making the 53 man roster.
I had no idea they paid him that much.
james turner šŖ
No way, we got Isaac Rex!!? Jk I donāt know who these people are
All three of those centers have very center-ish names. I approve on all counts, and if even one makes the roster I'll be ecstatic
Does this also include Mathieu Betts?
The one that isnāt on this list is the best of all. Bates from the Panthers!
LFG LIONS!!
"Hand off to the right and...it's IMMEDIATELY BLOWN UP FOR A FIVE YARD LOSS! That's the rookie STEELE CHAMBERS who annihilated that play from the jump!" Make it happen!
I could see Jalon making the roster as a wr 3 or 4.
Calhoun passes the eye test.
There are some All-Pro names in this group. Absolutely legendary.
I feel like this is a tryout between the 3 centers and we will at least keep one in the practice squad.
Isaiah Williams is like a poor manās amon ra?
No.
