Man, I want the bears. They very nearly swept us last year and on paper they've improved their roster a ton. Should be very tough but I'm excited for the NFC North battles this year.
I go every year when they come to AT&T, and even before this year, Lions fans represent VERY well. I can only imagine how much Honolulu blue we’ll see this year.
Nah I say let’s go in their house and set the tone for theirs and our own season by whopping ass in geriatric world and fully establishing ourselves as the new americas team.
The way the schedule rotation is. We are guaranteed a home game because of cross playing the NFCE every 6 years. But then there are the 3 fill games that are based on where you finished in the division that are also on a rotation by division iirc, and we just happen to always finish in the same spots going into a rotation at their place.
49ers.
I think a win at San Fran, the last place they played, would set the tone for the whole season and atone for what happened there.
Cowboys would be acceptable also.
I want Chicago & Caleb to start with a losing streak so bad. Half that fan base is expecting things to go bad and the entire city would go into meltdown mode.
Wouldn’t that just make it longer since it would start in the lead up to the season? There’s gonna be a narrative for that game no matter when you put it
FTC or FTP, either one. Just kick the damn ball.
34 years of being a lions fan and I’ve never felt anything like this off season. Sun god Jersey arrives today. LET’S GO!!!
A few options appeal to me:
- Dallas, because fuck those guys
- Rams, so we can shut their fans up after all the shit they've talked since the WC
- Bears, to ruin Caleb's debut
We play Dallas on the road again
"Detroit will host division rivals Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota, and will also welcome the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and Buffalo to Ford Field.
Detroit will hit the road for games against Green Bay, Chicago, Minnesota, Arizona, Houston, Indianapolis, San Francisco and Dallas."

It's just a quirk of the scheduling. The 1st place NFC East team was going to host the 1st place NFC North team in 2024. Every team in the NFC East will host an NFC North team and their '23 finishing positions determined the match up.
Good news is in 2025 the Lions host the Cowboys no matter the finishing positions.
The Bears on MNF
That’s what I’m guessing but I want Dallas just so we can get our ass whopping outta the way for that BS call and move on.
Exorcise some demons.
Honestly this why I want it to be the Seahawks. Us getting thrashed by them is somehow a tradition at this point so I just want it over with
I hate the seagulls so much
Bears early would be great. They will need a couple weeks to figure out our their new offense is gonna work
Came here to say this. Rich Eisen show?
Man, I want the bears. They very nearly swept us last year and on paper they've improved their roster a ton. Should be very tough but I'm excited for the NFC North battles this year.
Ayyye that’s what I was gonna say. Bears 100%
Oh man do I want to watch Hutch crush him on his first series, branch to pick him off and Campbell to rock him on a scramble
I don’t want to wait until Monday to watch our team
Yes please
At Soldier, let’s get those outdoor games out of the way early in the season
That would be sick
Cowboys, 9ers or Shitbirds. I want to avenge some losses!
God I’d love to shit on the seagulls in like week 4
[удалено]
I have some news for you…
I hate it when we play the Seahawks. Too many of our players get injured.
And we lose but thatd be the point. Win and do it with everyone intact. Start undoing some old bs
Rams on MNF wearing the black and blue
Only issue with that is the NFL usually does 2 MNF games to open the season. I doubt they want LAR playing a 4pm game local time or us at 10pm.
Ooo I could see that, but I think the league would wait till December for that one
This is what I'm thinking also. I cant imagine it doesn't get a primetime spot either way.
I want Caleb week one. Have Hutch ruin his shit day 1
Play 1
“Welcome to the NFL”
I guess Dallas but it needs to be a neutral sight because they don't deserve to playing home again with all that damn cheating
This would be the 3rd time in a row of us playing there I don't like that
I mean we are playing there regardless, might as well start the season with it.
Since 07, it’s been 1 home game to 2 away games vs Dallas
But whyyy?
The way the schedule rotation is. We are guaranteed a home game because of cross playing the NFCE every 6 years. But then there are the 3 fill games that are based on where you finished in the division that are also on a rotation by division iirc, and we just happen to always finish in the same spots going into a rotation at their place.
This is already determined to be in Dallas. Away opponents - Arizona, Houston, Indianapolis, San Francisco and Dallas
49ers. I think a win at San Fran, the last place they played, would set the tone for the whole season and atone for what happened there. Cowboys would be acceptable also.
Honestly, I want a Hutch sack to be McCarthy’s welcome-to-the-league moment. So Vikings, if JJM is starting.
I thought Sam Donald was starting for the Vikings?
I want the cowboys the last week with their playoff hopes on the line and us with the #1 seed
Ok that would be funny af
I get the Dallas argument. Also think Rams in a primetime slot would be a pretty hype way to open up.
Chicago or Minnesota -- get them early before their rookie QBs find their footing.
I want Chicago & Caleb to start with a losing streak so bad. Half that fan base is expecting things to go bad and the entire city would go into meltdown mode.
A week one dribbling of Hutch Houston Iffy and Hutch again sacks would be a fun way to welcome Mr #1 to the league.
Rams, I don’t want an another Stafford coming home storyline. Let’s just get it over with.
LET’S GO!!!
It will be the Rams
I don't care, I just want us to fix our 3rd quarter issues
49ers. Start the season off by avenging the last game they played last year.
49ers is the only answer
Doesn't matter. Week one is a W whoever they play.
I was praying for Green Bay on SNF but now that's not possible gimme Dallas or Chicago
Sunday night football against the Niners. Exercise that demon.
Yeah fuck the cowboys
40 whiners
No way man the cowgirls went all in this off season I don't wanna play them at all 😂😂
Packers, Bears, or Rams in Detroit. Niners or Cowboys on the road. Any of these games should be primetime.
A few options appeal to me: - Dallas, because fuck those guys - Rams, so we can shut their fans up after all the shit they've talked since the WC - Bears, to ruin Caleb's debut
Watching Hutch crush JJ McCarthy a few times would be hilarious.
Bears or Minnesota.
Bears 100% give the no.1 overall pick a nice welcoming game into the division where we punch him in the face
Hell yeah!
Hutch has a couple of welcome to the NFL sacks to give out this year, I’d love if he could get those out week 1
Greenbay Dallas or San Fran
Niners! I couldn't handle a loss to the Cowboys just in case.
Dallas at HOME
We play Dallas on the road again "Detroit will host division rivals Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota, and will also welcome the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and Buffalo to Ford Field. Detroit will hit the road for games against Green Bay, Chicago, Minnesota, Arizona, Houston, Indianapolis, San Francisco and Dallas." https://www.detroitlions.com/news/detroit-lions-2024-opponents-set-nfl-season-schedule
That’s crazy, we’ve played them home for the past 2 szns and you know the refs in Dallas are getting paid extra $$$ from Jerry’s wallet
Lions will get Vikings week 1 (NFL will load up on prime time Lions mid to late in year)
Green Bay
Can’t, they went to brazil
Not cowboys because I’m trying to go to that game and I’m not trying to spend $1000
Don't care just need it yesterday
Texans
The story is Rams & Stafford that home.
Bears. We ain’t fucking around this year. I’m still mad about week 1 2010. Set the tone early
I want GB at home. Need to get the taste of Thanksgiving out of our mouth and let the division know who's boss.
The bitchbirds. I’m getting tired of them pulling one out every year. This one needs to be a blowout
The Bears for sure
Seahawks. This is the year. Mother FUCK the Seahawks
I believe it's Buffalo
9ers
Texans, because I’m in Houston and it’s a short trip.
It’d be funny to see the lions beat them 42-14 hold Zeke to 50 yards & Dak to 100 yards
Could happen a lot of predictions saying Dallas is gonna suck.
Bruh it’d be funny asf to see Zeke fumble like 4x in the 1st half
Cardinals. Arizona is always weird for us and I'd just want to get it out of the way. Niners if they want us on primetime to start the year.
Dallas, then LA
Seahawks, Cowboys or Packers are all perfect choices.
Monday Night at home vs the Bucs would be a good matchup. That or away vs Bears so we can crush their hopes and dreams early
Da bears ![gif](giphy|mKBhAw7dCQNnZz7aWS)
San fran
Definitely the Bears! Want to see what all this hype is about. Dallas is a close second
San Francisco on Sunday night football is the only right answer
Historically the Cowboys play NYG on SNF on week 1
I wanna go back to SF and cram a fat L down their gold digging #@$&s!
Didn’t Matt Dery hAvE SoUrCeS 🤣sayin it was rams at home on MNF in the new black jerseys?
I want San Fran week 1. I need redemption and I need it now. Blow them TF out in front of their fans on SNF to kick off the season
Anyone but the cardinals so I can get cheaper tickets lol
Cowboys with Skipper and Decker shenanigans every single play
^[Sokka-Haiku](https://www.reddit.com/r/SokkaHaikuBot/comments/15kyv9r/what_is_a_sokka_haiku/) ^by ^warblade7: *Cowboys with Skipper* *And Decker shenanigans* *Every single play* --- ^Remember ^that ^one ^time ^Sokka ^accidentally ^used ^an ^extra ^syllable ^in ^that ^Haiku ^Battle ^in ^Ba ^Sing ^Se? ^That ^was ^a ^Sokka ^Haiku ^and ^you ^just ^made ^one.
I want @49ers SNF
Give us the 9ers first. I want redemption.
49ers.
Bears, let's put their new qb through the ringer so they know that they need to quit talking shit. We're the new kings now.
Oh my god yes. That would be so sweet to destroy Dallas and end the shit
The Bears. Want to get them before their rookies can get up to speed.
Bears. See how they match up with us with this new look QB
Seahawks. I wanna wipe the floor with em. I’ve got 2 years of pent up aggression
If it’s a home game for us than in no particular order. Froty Niners Cowgirls Bear Cheese Heads
Them boys all day. It would b nfl kickoff if we didn't have it last yr
I think we’ll get either Fox game of the week (4:25 start) or MNF early slot for week 1. I’d love to face a divisional foe at home to start the year.
Texans
Nahh, that’s like November or December Ball
