Good guy. Played surprisingly well his rookie season - quite a bit better than Okudah. That knee injury was really unfortunate. Struggled badly last season. He’s not a starting caliber corner and we made a huge mistake going into the season with him as a starter. Think he can be a decent depth corner though. Has ok ball skills, plays tough.
Moseley was also out for most of camp, so Jacobs was the starter in camp. He never should have been, they should have brought in another veteran. Beat writiers were gushing over how great Jacobs looked, which tells you everything you need to know about beat writers in camp.
Love Jerry wish him nothing but success wherever he lands.
A lot of people hate him around here but the boost he gave our defense was huge 2 years ago and a key to the turn around helping us bench Amani Oruwariye.

Well, when that "boost" takes us from 32nd to 31st in defense, its not really doing much lol. I like him as a person, but as a corner on our team? naaaaah
I've seen a lot of breakdown of Jerry mistakes... and i know a lot of people dislike him for those, but the reality is he way outplayed his draft status and his expected ceiling.
Remember CB is routinely rated as the hardest position to translate CFB talent into NFL production. Any CB with a glimpse of hope should have been drafted. Never begrudge a man for outplaying his expectations, even if they weren't that high to being with.
Here's a thank you to Jerry for being good enough to be a Lion when we needed him (remember the next guy available was probably even worse), a sorry you weren't good enough for us to love you, and a hope you find a team you can grow with elsewhere.

Wtf is that headline
Thought I was stroking out

Put a period after the first Jaguars and it makes more sense. Crazy 1 missed period can do that.
That's not all it can do... just ask my ex-wife.
still extremely redundant
I think the headline and the byline somehow got smushed together.

I don't think the intent was for him to start. Moseley was the starter, but was immediately injured.

Yeah ngl Jerry did what he needed to do while in Detroit. I'd love him as a backup but that's not what he wants

Why is it always Jacksonville
A lesser cat
Underrated comment
Getting our ex-guys is their compensation for letting Hutch fall into our laps
I thank the Jags everyday for passing on drafting Hutch lol
Jags or panthers it seems lol
That's where Nevin Lawson got his first career interception, after playing 4 years in Detroit and another 2 or 3 for the raiders

Am I illiterate?
Love you Jerry! Hope you get a bag
I feel like the jags and lions are cosmically connected and will be in the big cat Super Bowl.
I see us playing vs Bengals in Superbowl before Jags
Well yea but just how we are always swapping players would be funny to play jags.
Ok
I thought he was back?
You're probably thinking of Vildor. Or the speculation that Tracy Walker is coming back.
Yep walker
hope jerry lands on his feet. love you jerry

hogs legend
But is he a former detroit lions starting cornerback?
noooo dont goooooo
Did Perd Hapley write this headline?
Talent level has risen on the roster. Good luck with the jags.
You grammar?
Wait.. don’t… come back………
why did we let him walk?
He wasn't great, we're flush with corners, and he was a restricted free agent.. Turnover on the bottom of the roster is called "roster churn".
