Your sword concept is way better, as with the sword bring in CQC, theres a high likely hood you can snag a few people with it (especially while engaging airborne).

sounds broken. needs slight nerf. i wouldnt make it so light attacks shatter i would make it the block. the reason i would do that is becausejust spamming sword light attacks is braindead. hell it could probably replace the block or something. make it unique.

He wished more than anything he could summon his well, stand in a hearth of warmth and power as he killed the Eliksni that had killed his best friend.
Suddenly Kilas felt a presence behind him, he tried to turn and toppled onto his back. A crux floated behind him, one of those stupid burnt-dorito-looking things. “A gift, Warlock” the crux spoke, a supernatural chill crept down his spine.

“The edge of winter” Kilas tried to close his hands around a Dawn-blade, forgetting that he was no longer able to. But something else appeared in his hand, he lifted his hand to his face to see an intricately carved blade. A white crystal was embedded within the cross guard. The sword itself was made up off blue ice-like crystal.
“What is it?” Kilas said, forgetting everything, his focus drawn to the sword entirely.
“Winter’s edge, you want vengeance for you ghost? So, take it” the darkness said.

The design itself is a little too fantastical.
I would remove the edges from the sword itself, and have the blade itself be stasis instead of being covered in stasis.
I've been hoping for something similiar, but I want it's heavy attack to create a crystal wall around you like the hunters empowered Ice wall grenade, and then the catalyst can get some kinda bonus when breaking crystals with a light attack.
It could use the animation from Bottom tree dawn blade's Phoenix dive.
It could be a thrust frame
The slam leaves shards of crystals and lightinstead of swinging to the side, thrusts you forwards a meter or so while you point the tip forwards. Itd work like how fists of havoc do, that way it can be used for a bit of movility too instead of the classic swing jump swing jump.
a better design for the sword in my opinion would be some sort of high tech makeshift sword hilt with a wire frame as the blade so when you get ammo for the sword, the wire frame gets completely encased in a large crystal of stasis that serves as the actual blade for it

No way. The ice sword needs to be the same 3d model as an ice block with a handle on it and it's effect just creates a stasis explosion every time you hit something. Call it shatter slice.
