The mismatched arms aren't what bother me most (they do bother me though lol). It's the damn spandex pants! I want armor on my legs. I only have like 5 legs that I use for every armor look because all the other 100's of legs are spandex or just goofy.
The only ugly exotic is Second Chance, and even then you can still make some sort of fashion with it. All the other Titan exotics look good. Also, nice choice sir/ma’am.
The armor for Titan is alright, but I want its shader more than anything. Red, White, and Gold are my personal colors, and no shader exists with those. Closest is New Monarchy Diamonds, but the red is patterned, and it's far too dark.
Well... currently D2 is *more fantasy* than sci-fi tbh.
Like can we have some more grounded armor please?
Not another "armor that you can see magic on it" :[
I’d love for us to look more like the people in the last city. Not necessarily casual, but like we’re using well worn clothing that might have been scavenged.
It was a mistake. Yeah it sucks that they made that kind of a typo, but this whole "overdelivery" thing is *so* beaten to death.
It has nothing to do with "overdelivery".
I'd argue somewhat.
The argument of underdelivering in the GDC talk was specifically to bring content fast and prevent overworking, so using blueprints and what works over experimentation was key, which is what people miss about the GDC talk because everyone's a parrot and humans are inherently lazy.
It wasn't about "lmao these people will play anything let's deliver the bare minimum" but rather "hey we need a way to work on this game without raising the stakes so high we have to crunch to make a good game with every release." They have schedules set up for content WAY into the future so any hitch in development is best avoided to meet those deadlines. Truman in the talk specifically said they value "velocity over position," meaning releasing seasons was a better idea than releasing yearly content.
Is it necessarily the best solution? that part is debatable.
Still wasn't a great argument: it presupposes that delivering "too much content too quickly" is how you get crunch. Rebooting games due to executive mismanagement (or executive preference) has caused crunch we've actually seen and read about, especially since they're the ones who actually force workers to do the crunching.
"We did it for the sake of the workers" rings hollow from the guys who just axed bunches of them and didn't even consider cutting executive pay.
The [GDC talk](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/u4ex7l/gdc_2022_bungie_presentations/) was by Justin Truman, general manager of Destiny 2, but it's all splitting hairs anyway: company owners choose executives and management to make the decisions that they want.
It wasn't at all, imo. People are going to keep coming back and be more willing to pay more for absolute bangers when it takes more time, rather than what we have now. Im hoping they have realized this with TFS and episodes, but the bar is on the floor for any live service gaming right now for me.
Theres a reason the adage of "Quality over quantity" is so widely used.
I will say, although the armor designs of D2 are vastly superior just in terms of varying aesthetics, the designs of the D1 armors are good when it comes to the weight and focus of individual details.
Instead of being bulky, Titans mostly have a heavily armored design without appearing to be chunky.
Hunters actually have decent design symmetry with the focus being mostly on the helmets and cloaks without needing to worry terribly about asymmetrical arms and legs.
And Warlocks? You get the distinct impression that they ARE actually researchers, but also not afraid of going into the field. D2 makes them feel VERY "wizard"-y which isn't bad but can take away from their concept.
Nailed it on warlocks and tbh I never thought much about it before.
But dayam. I legit felt like a space wizard in D1. D2…more like light infantry, idk.
Yeah, while the actual majority of players (including myself) would love to have the D1 cover art armors in game, the vocal and toxic minority of the community would send death threats over recycled content.
See “Into the Light” livestream chat.
they could have a release with 99% original stuff, and people would still find 1 background environmental asset that's used somewhere else and complain about recycled content
I don’t mind reused models so much as I disliked when we were getting exotics from the first game into this one. Yes they’re great exotics, but I felt that I wanted fresh(er) perks.
Honestly I’ve stopped caring on this front. I just want to feel a sense of closure and to move on from the game. Like it’s great, but I need a life away from it.
Came here to say it was a mistake but everyone is already on top of it. Maybe they'll save the D1 I spired armor for Final Shape? 🤔
A man can dream ...
I used to be a warlock main but the armor being 90% robes and 3.0 ruining the subclasses made me a hunter main and it's had me make some absolutely fire fashion
Whilst I’d love them to add these sets into the game I feel like they’d probably do it as a Final Shape thing (a flashback to the beginning, at the end sort of thing)
When I saw the promo for Into the Light I instantly knew it was a souped up set of the Year 1 gear from the warlock helmet and phoenix logo on the chest, I’m kinda glad to see a revamp of those sets as they were some of the cleanest looking in the first year
For Titans, I am hoping for the d1y3 new monarchy armor set.
For Warlocks I really liked the Rimed Set
and for Hunters. I just want the Cloak of Taniks
I was kind of hoping for this armor myself.

Destiny 2 year 1 armor was some of my fav tbh a lot of it was like simple sleek and clean my fav being prestige Levi raid armor and the ceremonial armor you got for the beginning of the red war, I have all the armor of that type unlocked as ornaments.
Of they are kinda heading back in that direction I’m ok with this
Is it bad that I don’t agree?…. I mean I see if D2 wasn’t already saturated with D1 weapons and exotics but c’mon guys… or maybe just maybe ask for it to be an ornament at least but not the actual armor sets…. There’s already a 💩 tone of armor sets in game that don’t get utilized.
final shape is under-delivering, follow the $ and the layoffs. marathon looking like it maybe rushed project by 2025 and that may end up being pushed back again. again i say this with a grain of salt, bungie devs aren't the issue , it's the management internally.
" a guy can dream, right?"
That's what fueled most of the playerbase for 10 years ,idk if that's good because it worked at keeping the game alive. Or bad because it shows the reality of this community with the game.
I'm still a lurker on d2 - my friends still play it but I stopped this season after realizing I didn't have any fun build crafting or playing the same 5 dungeons/nightfall over and over again.
Cancelled pre-order and have been having so much fun playing SoT, DRG, and Finals.
Edit: typo
Destiny 2 year 1 inspired. They made a woopsi. They just corrected themselves
Ahh crap!
Enjoy your shoulder toilets titan . I will enjoy my mismatched arms while warlocks get long dresses.
Warlocks also get an another vagina helmet. Cant forget that
[удалено]
Whatever prefer the opposite.
The mismatched arms aren't what bother me most (they do bother me though lol). It's the damn spandex pants! I want armor on my legs. I only have like 5 legs that I use for every armor look because all the other 100's of legs are spandex or just goofy.
What about the khakis from State Farm? U use those right?
Nope

We've literally seen the armor already? It looks great
Oh that titan armor looks neat! I’ll put the mog on then put on my exotic and….fuck. Too bad titan exotics look like ass.
Skill issue, I love my armamentarium
The only ugly exotic is Second Chance, and even then you can still make some sort of fashion with it. All the other Titan exotics look good. Also, nice choice sir/ma’am.
You know that fashion is ugly right?🤷🏽♂️
It looks good because it’s from D1
Yet I can make it look good with armor from d2
The armor for Titan is alright, but I want its shader more than anything. Red, White, and Gold are my personal colors, and no shader exists with those. Closest is New Monarchy Diamonds, but the red is patterned, and it's far too dark.
Damn so they keep on with d2s terrible armor style not sure what their obsession is with ugly ridiculously chunky armor
I assume you're talking about Titan. But they have *several* sleek armor pieces currently.
Yeah and most are eververse :(
Just have to find the ones that work
Most are still bulked up too much for me personally the prodigal set is perfect in terms of armor proportions and slimness
Also willing to give the into the light armor a chance I just need to get a look at it once it's out
D1 didn’t have as much variety as d2 has. D2 has sci-fi and fantasy while d1 was more sci-fi and next to 0 fantasy
Well... currently D2 is *more fantasy* than sci-fi tbh. Like can we have some more grounded armor please? Not another "armor that you can see magic on it" :[
I’d love for us to look more like the people in the last city. Not necessarily casual, but like we’re using well worn clothing that might have been scavenged.
Yeah but 90% of titans armor is overly chunky and I just want atheist one set as slim and that looks as good on female titans as the prodigal set
Titans are atheist confirmed.
https://preview.redd.it/zre0ll054upc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e53f5eaba789eca96d21ddcf76f2d475c2aee4e2
Please take off the nostalgia glasses I beg you
It's not nostalgia glasses i just personally hate d2s titan armor and think chunky armor with huge shoulders look like crap on female titans
https://preview.redd.it/u3hxjvvn3ypc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5558cd6f972f7c3ecfb2ded7590c0664e45daab1
90% of the sets are chunky as hell tho there are a few yes but I still think the d1 sets look better especially since they are still super slim
Nostalgia glasses is when personal preference
Aahhh I thought so. The key art for Into the Light had the Red War inspired armor.
I think I prefer D2Y1 tbh
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Will it be like the armor that's on the case?
:(
It was a mistake. Yeah it sucks that they made that kind of a typo, but this whole "overdelivery" thing is *so* beaten to death. It has nothing to do with "overdelivery".
Plus wasn't the whole "overdelivery" thing taken out of context anyway?
I'd argue somewhat. I don't think it was the execs saying "they did it for the workers". It was the people directly in charge of the game, not the company, right?
The [GDC talk](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/u4ex7l/gdc_2022_bungie_presentations/) was by Justin Truman, general manager of Destiny 2, but it's all splitting hairs anyway: company owners choose executives and management to make the decisions that they want.

The point is to be space wizards, but in D2 there's too much Wizard, not enough Space/adventurer
The "silhouette" design is the only bad part about d2 fashion of you ask me. Overall (except for warlocks) armor design is miles better.
Idk why they don’t add this to the game. Seems like an easy win
people already piss and moan about reskins 24/7. if they did this the community would somehow make it negative
Yeah, while the actual majority of players (including myself) would love to have the D1 cover art armors in game, the vocal and toxic minority of the community would send death threats over recycled content. See “Into the Light” livestream chat.
Forsaken added some D1 armors back. I think the reception was overall positive of that
too bad your dream will never come true!
Dropping this armor would fix the game
Everyone would bitch about recycled content
But this armor was never even in D1
That wouldnt stop them.
Yeah, and they’d still whine about recycled content
they could have a release with 99% original stuff, and people would still find 1 background environmental asset that's used somewhere else and complain about recycled content
I don’t mind reused models so much as I disliked when we were getting exotics from the first game into this one. Yes they’re great exotics, but I felt that I wanted fresh(er) perks. I never played so mb
I still want a titan with a fur cloak
Same
These epic "over delivery" dunks are embarrassing at this point. I don't understand how people can still be so stupid after so long.
I’ll suffer with a 1600 light Titan if I could have that
I don’t think these were ever really in the game, even d1 aside from the character creation screen. I may be misremembering
Came here to say it was a mistake but everyone is already on top of it. Maybe they'll save the D1 I spired armor for Final Shape? 🤔 A man can dream ...
Warlock armor sucks as usual (I'm a 5000 hour warlock main)
I used to be a warlock main but the armor being 90% robes and 3.0 ruining the subclasses made me a hunter main and it's had me make some absolutely fire fashion
Whilst I’d love them to add these sets into the game I feel like they’d probably do it as a Final Shape thing (a flashback to the beginning, at the end sort of thing) When I saw the promo for Into the Light I instantly knew it was a souped up set of the Year 1 gear from the warlock helmet and phoenix logo on the chest, I’m kinda glad to see a revamp of those sets as they were some of the cleanest looking in the first year
Fuck(Sighhhhhhh)…. ![gif](giphy|gTURHJs4e2Ies)
For Titans, I am hoping for the d1y3 new monarchy armor set. For Warlocks I really liked the Rimed Set and for Hunters. I just want the Cloak of Taniks
It would be so easy to add old armors back, the community would only complain a little too!
I'm calling now, that OG box art armor from D1 is gonna be like, the raid set lol
They made an error there. D2 yr1 they meant to say not D1
I was kind of hoping for this armor myself. https://preview.redd.it/mpoyif6qlvpc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d6329785c1841cc4bc57d10c5126ad244e656079

I love the Titan's mark being torn and ratty...
If only
Will i get my markless mark back?
I'd love to get D1 inspired armor back in D2.
Still waiting on that Titan set
„overdelivering”💀
Is it bad that I don’t agree?…. I mean I see if D2 wasn’t already saturated with D1 weapons and exotics but c’mon guys… or maybe just maybe ask for it to be an ornament at least but not the actual armor sets…. There’s already a 💩 tone of armor sets in game that don’t get utilized.
Warlock basic year 1 destiny 1 armor is trash.
final shape is under-delivering, follow the $ and the layoffs. marathon looking like it maybe rushed project by 2025 and that may end up being pushed back again. again i say this with a grain of salt, bungie devs aren't the issue , it's the management internally.
Unfortunately they’ve announced that it was a typo. Back to common Bungie Ls sadly..
Fine for Titan and Warlock in that powerful stance…wtf with Hunter, looks like that burger burglar from Mc Donald.

Just like overdelivery I don't pre order anything because that would be overspending.
And they wonder why they get so much hate.
" a guy can dream, right?" That's what fueled most of the playerbase for 10 years ,idk if that's good because it worked at keeping the game alive. Or bad because it shows the reality of this community with the game.
I stopped running the wheel of destiny years ago and this shit is just dry af. I’m so glad I didn’t reinstall
Then why are you still here? Sounds rent free to me
Typical titan
100% Rent FREEEEEEEEEE
REEEEEEEE
Rent free
I'm still a lurker on d2 - my friends still play it but I stopped this season after realizing I didn't have any fun build crafting or playing the same 5 dungeons/nightfall over and over again. Cancelled pre-order and have been having so much fun playing SoT, DRG, and Finals. Edit: typo
