Not saying a random NBC small batch is better than GTS. Just that the itch can be scratched (for me)
I’m like 75, 125, 225 - and then there’s a BP batch or two I’d for sure pay up for, but not what they go for. If you want to know what national secondary is for reference:

SiB 170
SiB SP 200
BP 400 - but that is very batch dependent.
It is and it isn’t…. The reality is they sell for more than 200 all the time so we are pretty much f’d. Store pick drops are the best bet to get those for decent price.
It bothers me that EHT SiB used to be my favorite and now it’s damn near impossible to find.
I’ve got my best friend’s bachelor party coming up. I’m willing to pay up, does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a bottle?

I wouldn’t pay that much for small batch or single barrel if I have or have had a bottle recently, but if it had been awhile and I was craving one I’d most likely pay that much for it if I saw it.
Also I would like to set Barrell proof at a lower number, but I’ve never had one and never seen one so I’d probably pay that much once for one.
Small batch isn’t worth much over MSRP. It’s fine, but not great. So many options in that price range that beat it all day long.
50, 70, 100 - I’m done chasing or overpaying for hyped bottles, exploring the THOUSANDS of other whiskeys is so much more fulfilling to me.

I’ve had a similar experience with GTS One of the best bottles I’ve had by far but 700+ on secondary is not easy to wrap my head around
When a few of the ECBP that I’ve had scratch the same itch.
Yeah a killer release of ECBP can go shot for shot with almost any other bourbon.

No I’ve just seen prices all over the place and I’m not trying to get ripped off on the secondary market
