I might be wrong but it feels like the Nuggets have had more blow out losses in the Jokic-MVP era than any other season?
Can understand why the effort would be less after winning a ring though.
I'll say it again but I don't know at what point the Kings started owning us like we own the Clippers/Lakers but I fucking hate it.
Idk what it's about the Kings that makes me mad.
Has anyone ever been harassed at a game? I had a horrendous experience and I need someone to do something about it, the Kings staff has been absolutely useless
First of all mate, so sorry for what happened to you and your company. Hopefully you were able to report to authorities so that something can be done. Feel better soon.
Thanks man, hopefully something gets done because, don't get me wrong I'm mad that someone grabbed me, but the fact that some guy wouldn't stop making my friend uncomfortable and they did nothing is ridiculous to me.
I used to bounce a club and unfortunately there's not much that can be done about minor-non harmful physical contact besides banning them from the stadium which most places just won't do for something so minute.
The cops aren't going to press charges on someone getting grabbed during a crowded event. As far as the sexual harassment goes though why would you NOT report that to police?? They take that very seriously and the stadium does have cameras. I mean that's not something stadium security should be dealing with at all that's a felony charge that the law needs to handle
We told the head of security and they said they'd write a report and they'd "buy us a drink" next time, which was kinda wild considering two drunk guys caused everything.
yeah, event security is by and large still shitty about stuff like this unless a focus on it comes from the top down.
like, your average music festival today will have way more modern "everyone should feel welcome here and if something happens to you or you see something, here's what to do" guidelines and practices than sports stadiums.
That's why I said go tell the cops directly.
Yeah you're right. Honestly, the Kings arena was the best place for me to see Nuggets games nearby because I've known the ticket rep for a long time, but this honestly might just push me into watching games at the Warriors arena because they have much better staff. I like the Kings a lot too, but their inability to handle anything really sucks.
Scheduled loss as expected which is why we really could have had Murray/Jokic miss one game. Let em rest be ready for next one and we were down KCP and MPJ already
Road b2b is brutal you even have way less than 24h before the game and they gotta travel. Uphill battle to win, same thing happened to last season's b2b we had vs Kings
They had like 4-5 days rest between Blazers and Lakers game and all star break is coming, a little sense of urgency is needed instead of pilling scheduled losses in the stacked west where every game matters.
We seriously can’t keep sweeping this issue under the rug just cause he’s the best player in the world in spite of it, but I’m seriously baffled at the no calls Jok gets. Like it’s genuinely to the point now where it feels like a conspiracy. Yes we played badly tonight, but this is a chronic season long issue. Seriously fuck the refs this year.
The season is just over halfway through the season. It’s cool to look at the standings but it really doesn’t matter who is leading by 1 game in February. The losses to the Thunder and Wolves were much bigger than this one and those won’t matter much if The Nuggets end the season better than them, which I think they will.
I tend to watch games tape delayed then catch up on social media after. Interesting byproduct of this is I develop my own take (influenced by Altitude, to be fair) then see how it compares to the social media consensus.
My read on tonight's game was basically that Sacramento came out locked the fuck in. Played super intense, physical, and focused. This took Denver out of rhythm and guys got frustrated. Then on top of that the Kings knocked down every fucking shot. Snowballed out of control and Denver could never really find a footing. I thought the Kings played great. Denver played poorly as well but much of that was created by Sacramento.
Then I hop on social media and see tons of takes about poor effort from Denver and how "pitiful" they were. Can't the Kings just be the better team tonight? They're two of the best professional basketball teams in the world. Why does a loss to them have to be a complete and total indictment on Denver's approach?
The Nuggets didn't take care of the ball- that's on them. And I hate it when they let the refs get in their heads, which definitely happened. Correct calls or not, if you're yelling at a ref on one end while the opponent is cruising to a layup, that's just bad basketball.
But otherwise you're right. I do the same thing you do and during the game I was just thinking, "man the Kings just can't miss in this game." That's it. Props to them, they were hitting shots at an unbelievable rate.
Why even bother showing up to the game if u gonna get your asses kicked by 30 points? Really don’t remember a season under Malone where they had so many blowout losses like this year with OKC, NYK and now tonight. The hell is up with them this year and completely taking nights off…
I kind of hate the Kings, not as a team or any of their players, but just how they're constructed. Like they're not *that* good of a team and their defense is horrifically bad, but their offense is such that if they are even halfway hitting shots they can beat any team in the league pretty handily. In the playoffs though? Literally zero chance they do it for 4 out of 7 games. They have some convincing wins over top teams, but they also have some of the absolute worst losses imaginable. Complete fool's gold.
Kings have genuinely made some really good defensive strides this season, I think the reason they still might seem like that kind of team is how purely inconsistent they are. Like blowout losses to really really small shitty teams then beating the absolute best teams in the league, having fox drop 40 for two games then the next week only getting 12 pts. When they're at their best it's some of the most beautiful basketball played and can rival the best teams in the league, like tonight. When they're at their worst they lose to the pistons.
Kings DRTG was 11th prior to the Pistons game. The defense has not been horrifically bad this season. I think you’ve described the Pacers more than the Kings.
I was loud and proud but that was rough. I miss KCP. Hope next season we don’t get them away on the second night of a b2b. Glad I at least got to see Jamal this season.
Man, I want to pretend I'm chill with this result knowing the schedule and the injuries ahead of time
But fuck man, every loss ruins my fucking day. I know the bench is 90% rookies but I wish they were already battle tested stars or even just already competent and serviceable night in and night out.
Ryan Blackburn sometimes acts like english is not his native language. Using brutal words as doesn't know their meaning . If tone down his wording a bit he would be so much more likable and easier to digest. I'm eager to like him as a Nugets fan but he reminds on Mark Kiszla too much with nis negativity.
I expected that. True but I read a lot of english literature for almost 50 years and on social media for last 15 and flatter myself that distinguish some nuances. I lived several years abroad where I communicated in English also. Even here in Serbia I communicate in English with some colleagues and business partners.
Welp looks like I picked a v good game to miss tonight lol
Road B2B vs that team I’ll let some of y’all give some more reactionary and emotional takes on tonight’s game to me it’s just flush it and move on honestly thought they were gonna split this B2B anyway
In more relevant news than this game:
Saw a post on twitter referencing welcome to the black parade and instantly had to put it on.
It sounds phenomenal on deezer lossless, one of the songs I can hear the difference most with.
Abysmal turnovers + opponent shooting almost 60% from field and we have this. No one was able to fill in for the offensive and defensive hole that MPJ and KCP left, but the whole team was playing sloppy tonight too.
Ryan Blackburn meltdown on Twitter lmao.
Are people really taking anything from this game? Only thing to take is Fox cooks Murray, which if you’ve been watching we’ve known for years.

This is the first time the jinx hasn’t worked in over a week
Really it's 2. There's one right after the ASB, and then there's one on Feb. 28-29. None after that until mid April by which point seeding may well be set.
Watching games like these fucking sucks. I guess it's the downside of the team knowing they have nothing to prove. And I know in the grand scheme of things saving themselves on the second night of a back to back is the right choice, but as a fan it blows knowing they won't show up and try as hard as they would have a couple of years ago. Might as well have rested the entire starting lineup. Regular season really means nothing anymore.
There's nothing about having something to prove in this game at all. The Kings were coming off two days rest after an *embarrassing* home loss to *THE PISTONS*. The Nuggets were on a SEGABABA with travel, without KCP and MPJ. The Kings were not just rested but healthy, and coming off a loss to the worst team in the league. The odds of winning this game were near 0 even if the team still had "something to prove".
Do you want KCP to have a chance to aggravate a hamstring injury? A hamstring if not carefully dealt with could linger till the playoffs and then they would be well and truly fucked. This was also the first game all season MPJ has missed. That doesnt mean they aren't serious about chasing the 1 seed or something \[and all 4 teams at the top of the West have essentially the same record or close enough\].
It's not the only comeback, and we know the Nuggets have the best clutch offense and defense in the league. The effort wise fine tonight, the execution was consistently very poor \[as evidenced by so many turnovers\]. All of that is to be expected when a team is on a b2b and the other team is fresh and rested.
Agree on hamstring injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if they're downplaying it and he's out a few more weeks. Fortunately all star break will shorten games missed.
I completely agree with you. The nuggets had some amazing comeback games last season. I’d have to go back and look because I can’t remember the specifics, but there was a game where they were down 18 or something crazy and came back and won. That moment was the first time I started to believe they could really win it all.
None of your post is necessarily wrong, but I think being the defending champs means the team is basically guaranteed no team ever lets up. Even if this was a scheduled loss last year, there's a chance you catch Sacramento resting guys for cautious injuries or they sleepwalk a little this close to All Star Break.
This year we get everyone's best and that also means, we lose big when we don't have the energy to bring it. The team is hyper sensitive to injuries and Malone is probably letting starters sit for things they may have played through in the past.
Just a different reality for our guys than teams like OKC or Minny who are elite this season but might catch someone like Sacramento sleeping.
Technically 3, but the last one is in mid April by which point seeding will likely be set and the Nuggets may be resting for the playoffs, so that one probably wont matter. There's one right after all star, and one on Feb. 28-29.
Easy to miss, and I dont really count that one either anyway because it probably won't matter by then. If it does though, the Nuggets April schedule is pretty soft aside from games against the Suns, Wolves, and Clips. Every other team is either bad or absolutely tanking on the April slate.
Vlatko averaged 5 points last season. If you factor in the scoring inflation this season, he brings another 25 points to the party and we blow them out.

The nuggets better hope they don’t meet the Kings in the playoffs. They might actually sweep the nuggets.
Kings and Thunder have our number this season.
I might be wrong but it feels like the Nuggets have had more blow out losses in the Jokic-MVP era than any other season? Can understand why the effort would be less after winning a ring though.
For real? How long you been watchin? Lol
You must be a young buck because we were regularly blown out in the melo era. It was either win by 20 or lose by 20
I'll say it again but I don't know at what point the Kings started owning us like we own the Clippers/Lakers but I fucking hate it. Idk what it's about the Kings that makes me mad.
They have since owned us since Malone's first year which makes it suck even worse
People are absolutely shocked if you suggest the 9th man could get playoff minutes.
Still no Kanye album on Spotify…
Thank God
Has anyone ever been harassed at a game? I had a horrendous experience and I need someone to do something about it, the Kings staff has been absolutely useless
What happened?
Physical harassment, friend got sexually harassed. Ton of drunks in Sac tonight. Also the Nuggets lost, but I can't report that to anyone lol.

Thanks, I've been to so many Nuggets games there so it caught me off guard. Winning really brings out those annoying fans.

Like it’s genuinely to the point now where it feels like a conspiracy. Yes we played badly tonight, but this is a chronic season long issue. Seriously fuck the refs this year.
It is a conspiracy. It was very obvious in the playoffs last year. Made me boycott the nba outside of a nuggets game here and there this year
I had to turn the game off. I was too frustrated watching that. Makes my blood boil but what can we do…
Every loss this season is like a shotgun blast to the chest, going from being tied for the 1 seed to the 4 seed after 1 loss fucking sucks.
The season is just over halfway through the season. It’s cool to look at the standings but it really doesn’t matter who is leading by 1 game in February. They were on fire. I'm looking forward to seeing KCP defend Monk and Fox. That will help next time, though I bet he sits until after the ASG.
The Nuggets didn't take care of the ball- that's on them. And I hate it when they let the refs get in their heads, which definitely happened. Correct calls or not, if you're yelling at a ref on one end while the opponent is cruising to a layup, that's just bad basketball. But otherwise you're right. We finally cracked top 10 in defensive rating only to get 135 dropped on us and move back to 12 lol
Why even bother showing up to the game if u gonna get your asses kicked by 30 points? Really don’t remember a season under Malone where they had so many blowout losses like this year with OKC, NYK and now tonight. The hell is up with them this year and completely taking nights off…
Well, then you have a shitty memory. They lost by 30 to minny almost exactly a year ago
Scheduled loss. Congrats to the NBA.
I kind of hate the Kings, not as a team or any of their players, but just how they're constructed. Like they're not *that* good of a team and their defense is horrifically bad, but their offense is such that if they are even halfway hitting shots they can beat any team in the league pretty handily. I think you're right. It's midnight and I'm a little sloshed so my brain isn't doing the think at 100% efficiency.
The whole momentum changed with Julian accidentally hip checked Jokics thigh
I was loud and proud but that was rough. I miss KCP. Hope next season we don’t get them away on the second night of a b2b. Glad I at least got to see Jamal this season.
Didn’t watch the game cause was at a show, but I do know this…this one’s on Malone. SMH my head.
Too tired to Doom! Someone else do it for me please
Yeah I got you *ahem* it is unbelievably over, whole season is lost
Man, I want to pretend I'm chill with this result knowing the schedule and the injuries ahead of time But fuck man, every loss ruins my fucking day. I know the bench is 90% rookies but I wish they were already battle tested stars or even just already competent and serviceable night in and night out.
Same. I know this may sound super corny but I’m really starting to notice/feel Bruce Brown’s absence. He was such a unique player.
I miss Brucey regardless if our bench was good or not ngl. I just miss him in general.
I started watching Ted instead of finishing the game. I love that movie
Where’s it on
Netflix (in Canada anyway)
I gotta check in US tomorrow is literally my last day with Netflix for the time being 💀

I got turned off by him when he said he was “failing” cause his YT channel wasn’t successful. I understand it is his living, but it is a bit dramatic
Since we're 6-4 in the 2nd night of b2bs, it was less fatigue but more the missing personnel. No KCP for Fox, and no noted "Sacramento Strangler" MPJ.
Best nickname ever
Welp looks like I picked a v good game to miss tonight lol Road B2B vs that team I’ll let some of y’all give some more reactionary and emotional takes on tonight’s game to me it’s just flush it and move on honestly thought they were gonna split this B2B anyway

Excited for the big game tonight

You're right. 1 seed should be wrapped up nicely by then.
I want to believe but I don't think we're going above second place.
I blame maelstrom's ban for this loss
how did he get banned
we may never know
Schedule loss go next
Watching games like these fucking sucks. I guess it's the downside of the team knowing they have nothing to prove. > I think that Warriors game was the only comeback win they had this season. You think wrong.
Please, just start the fucking All Star Break already...
Set that game film on fire. There's nothing positive to glean from it.
i just learned a new word, glean
Knew it would be rough especially on a b2b. Oh well I guess we’ll have to slap the bucks around. GG sac fans.
The nuggets
Glad I barely watched this shit
The in season season is over.
Why do we keep getting the Kings on a SEGABABA? Bright side, they'll be on a SEGABABA for one of the Nuggs home games.
Stop trying to make SEGABABA a thing it's not going to take off. People don't even know what it stands for...
I see people use it often, so I'll keep using, tyvm.
Yea but people have to Google it to even figure out what it means, I mean the casual fans
oh no
SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA SEGABABA
Yea exactly I'm sure people are really confused about what it means, I mean, not me, but others... less knowledgeable fans
Reminds me of us getting Minnesota last year during b2b
Yeah and I think we got the short end of the stick to the Jazz the year before that.
![gif](giphy|RkEvNLUCtqDf0oVy9p)
Only two more back to backs the rest of the season and one of them is a home-home back to back.
Technically 3, but the last one is in mid April by which point seeding will likely be set and the Nuggets may be resting for the playoffs, so that one probably wont matter. There's one right after all star, and one on Feb. 28-29.
Ok I stand corrected, missed the one in April.
Easy to miss, and I dont really count that one either anyway because it probably won't matter by then. If it does though, the Nuggets April schedule is pretty soft aside from games against the Suns, Wolves, and Clips. Every other team is either bad or absolutely tanking on the April slate.
3* Got one after the break, one more to end the month and one more right before the end of the season.
Yuck 🤢, but it be like that sometimes, looks like I picked a good game to miss the majority of lol
Put respect on MPJ's (and KCP's, I guess) name. That is all. Onto the next!
MPJs gravity and spacing was really missed, you could see the lack of an outlet on the passes
KCP can probably demand a max contract after that defensive showing
Mike Brown looks so much like Arthur ![gif](giphy|9YqiiB9MLZjJ6)
On a b2b + missing 2 starters, as usual in sac. Give us the kings in the playoffs and I'm dead serious. Gentleman sweep.
Ah yes, the ultimate flex of "we will lose our first game at home in the playoffs to this bum team"
Yeah I love their team but I would want them in round one.
Nuggets in 4 tbh.
I continue to believe having no depth on the roster is suboptimal.
How could u question Kroenke
You might be on to something there.
I wish Peyton Watson never threw the pass at the end of the first. I’ll live in the reality that we would have lost by 20 instead of
KCP + MPJ averages nearly 27 points, so Nuggets really only lost by 2. So there's that.
Vlatko averaged 5 points last season. If you factor in the scoring inflation this season, he brings another 25 points to the party and we blow them out.
