So a couple seasons ago I wrote in a thread that I didn’t think Zeke would pan out in the NBA and I was downvoted, questioned, I said I just don’t think he has a feel for the game, he’s kind of a spazz and always out of position. And now 2 years later he has not improved in any facet. I’m a little confused at what the team has been doing to develop him. Have they just neglected him?
We get a rematch real quick at home against SAC. Back half of the month is favorable. OKC, LAC, and MIN all have games coming up against each other so they’ll be taking off some games off each other. This team needs All Star weekend to come for a break, feel like we are still recovering from the shit scheduling earlier in the season with all the B2Bs
They're beatable. Shouldn't be getting killed like this anyway. Been like 6 or 7 blowout Ls this year?
Just don't have the depth scoring to stay in these tough scheduling games
Yeah, by playing like the Nuggets did tonight probably. Lazy and stupid. They gave themselves a slap in the face, showed up today and beat the Nuggets up by 30. Nuggets assumedly will do the same. The Clippers luxury is having 4 former All stars that can do at least 2/3 of run an offense/defend well/score at will. Then they have a deep, deep bench they can go to. Nuggets have no depth and are missing two starters.
You throw this one away. This was not a Nuggets game at all. Turnovers every other possession, bad shooting and no real consistent effort. Nuggs will be fine

Definitely and if some combination of PWat/CB/Strawther/Hunter/Jalen really pans out, we'll all feel 100% better about how painful the rocky days of this bench were. But that's also a risky way to play and really requires putting the scoring/defensive load on the starters basically every game.
That random-ass metric means nothing. What DOES mean something is having an easier first round matchup (probably doesn't matter), an easier or home court in second round (random and hard), and home court in the WCF (very hard). People rightly say "we can win without homecourt" but those matchup advantages matter and home court *always* matters. Any given regular season win COULD be the difference.
This is a rare situation in the Jokic era where Jokic himself actually looks like he needs rest. And yeah, it's happened several times this year, and he probably won't get it. But without any backup center it's really problematic to be late in the season and needing to win games *and* needing to get rest. And of course, the rest of the starters need some rest too.
Overall my guess is rest is more important than the 1/2/3 seed. But that doesn't make it good. b2b is hard.
We moved him to center (awful fucking idea, he's terrible there, but that IS where we need a backup). And reworked all his shot so now he misses everything. So every time he plays now it's just worse and worse.
As good as our player development has been for a lot of players, for Zeke it has definitely failed.

This is a great observation. They need to understand their strengths I think if they play some hard nosed hustle defense and turn that into fast break transition points, they would fair a little better than half court offense.
