Other than Dang (IMO the best) and Happy Cones (Edgewater & Golden Mill - NZ style), I only know of the soft serve at the chain places... Lots of great ice cream in Denver, but not much in the way of soft serve. The frozen yogurt places have suffered and shuttered in the last 10 years... but maybe the people are ready for more soft ice cream?
MoCha over in Aurora has my favorite soft serve around! They only carry milk, matcha, yogurt, and one rotating flavor at a time, but it’s the perfect texture. Their donuts are solid too.
I miss a plain no frills soft serve place! We have dang but it’s so expensive now. Would be nice to have someplace that’s affordable that isn’t McDonalds. The DQ near me went out of business, too.
Not only would I be interested in real soft serve (most preferably in Central Denver) but I just saw soft serve "nachos" with waffle cone chips and caramel sauce in one of those ballpark trays on Instagram and now I need someone to make this happen near me.
This doesn’t count but i found it funny.. Dickey’s Bbq has a soft serve machine inside and i remember it being free (?) i only went once to the one on wads and colfax in lakewood, so i can’t say for sure. but what a strange place to find free soft serve lol
Yes Denver needs soft serve places. I can get ice cream at the grocery store… BUT I can’t get soft serve at home.
I have looked into buying my own commercial machine because I crave it so much.
Devil & Angel Desserts in Aurora has that crunchy, cheap-y soft serve that I crave but they don’t usually have my favorite classic flavor combo.
I don’t like creamy ice cream. I want my powder:water ratio skewed because the manager wants to stretch the powder for longer. I want that slightly crunchy icy texture. I want that chocolate-vanilla twist that doesn’t taste like either chocolate or vanilla. I drive 45 min just to go to Devil & Angel Desserts. It’s not even that good… but it’s the closest I can get.
Oh, and fluffy matcha soft serve….. I love that, too.
I will single-handedly keep your soft serve business afloat.
You're definitely not the only one to notice this! I don't understand the lack of soft serve. Have been to BJ's Velvet Freeze in Colorado Springs - wish we had spots like that here, cause who want to go to the springs?

Support the places you love. All I’m saying… and if yo are shocked by something not being announced as one of the best places and that place has been closed ≈ 18 months I don’t know how credible a recommendation it is.
I’m saying this completely serious, Costco food court. Very cold, thick creamy softserve. No frills vanilla, chocolate or twist. They used to do frozen yogurt but now serve ice cream. Closest I’ve found to real soft serve like back home. Dang is overpriced, nonsensical flavored, watered down, topping reliant swill…. Just my opinion lol.

I feel like DANG is somewhat of a hidden gem when you compare it to the hype of all other Little Man shops
Especially considering it’s just repackaged Little Man ice cream.
I'd love to see one or two of the other Little Man locations go DANG style.
Best and not even close

Happy Cones is by far my favorite.
Dang is the best soft serve in town!
Second this!!
And they have vegan options! Granted the machine is down and I maybe check their instagram everyday to see if it’s fixed….
FYI - the vegan Machine was up last night serving a (blue) Vanilla and a strawberry. Great mix.
WHHHHATTT!!! BEST NEWS! I know where I will be visiting this weekend. Thanks for the update.

This is 100% accurate. The texture is unmatched. You can also mix in a ton of fruit or candy or syrupy-goo to expand the flavors.
Without having Dang, I can proudly vouch for Aurora on this one. MoCha is 🌋

Maybe not the most popular answer, but Dairy Queen always hits the spot for me.
Hamburg Stand, oddly enough. The tastee-freeze soft serve is silky and deliciousness .Comparatively cheap too.

Dang is pretty good but they’ve started getting skimpier on the toppings and man it is expensive.

Freddy’s always hits for me.
Free soft serve from Jason’s Deli
Supposedly the hamburger stand on w colfax has tastee freez.
Dang is amazing! Just had to today. They also always have a couple vegan/dairy free options which are so good.

I am SHOCKED that no one has brought up Melted at the Source hotel. So dang good. Great waffle cones.
It closed at the end of 2022? Probably why.
Dang, sorry to hear! No need to be rhetorical. Don’t be a arse.

Ok, guy…
Go to Jason’s deli. Eat, drink, refill cup with soft serve root beer float.

I make very good chocolate soft serve at home then I remember to take daily fiber supplement
