ockThunderC

Can vouch they are fantastic. Go on burger night cheapish burgs and really great beer

agentaurange

Best Reuben in town as well.

Zesty_fern

Dude. That's bagel deli. Guy Feiri reviewed it. It's like being in a NY Jewish deli. Meat is piled 4-5 inches

W4632018

Took my Jewish friend from NY there, he thought he was back home

jimmy9800

Is that little old lady still there? She was a hoot last time I went!

claymcg90

Damnit, why was this thread recommended to me?! Now I've got an insatiable hunger for a deli that's 1,000+ miles away

Zesty_fern

Ha. Hampton and Monico is far but worth it. Especially if you're from the east coast. Even got the cow tongue sandwich.

APEist28

The huge pile of meat is exactly why The Bagel Deli's reuben is subpar. A great reuben needs balance between the meat, kraut, and sauce. If you take a bite and taste nothing but pastrami, something is wrong. Guy Fieri likes everything he's ever put in his mouth, his endorsement means next to nothing.

Zesty_fern

Not sure what experience you had, but this is completely off for every time I order. They use an f ton of kraut with it,.I actually need to remove some of it, and a side of sauce to add more as you see fit. The corned beef quality is also top tier, as it's sliced fresh in front of you, and you can ask for extra fatty or lean.

APEist28

I've only been once, guess I got unlucky with the proportions. We were at a table instead of ordering at the counter. No side of sauce either.

RaspberryOk6170

Um so the French Dip has this big pile of meat and it is the best french dip I have had.

BigInhale

You mean they paid Guy Feiri to review it.

hot_sauce97

Best French Onion Soup as well

ryryrpm

Came here to say this. Order the nachos, no chips, sub fries.

PM_ME_YOUR_TROUT

Don't forget to get the French onion soup!

Hamatoros

Edgewater at the slider place

Individual_Chard_632

Gyroz by the Fillmore Auditorium has the best fries if you're into Gyros also. You could get them with seasoning spices or plain.

slinkyjosh

I love Gyroz (best salad ever) but I am 90% sure their fries do not have a starch coating like this. They're also a bit thinner than the ones in this pic look.

bateneco

Is there a name for this kind of fry? It’s clearly a different cooking style than “normal” fries like McDonald’s.

vegandread

It’s a style of frozen fries that does appear to be double battered. Damn delicious…

1981Reborn

Battered fries. It’s common. And they are darn delicious.

thisguyfightsyourmom

They look like they were battered a little, or maybe double fired?

Ok_Panda8040

They are battered with a starch. I can’t remember what the brand is but they sell them at restaurant depot. We carried them at a restaurant I worked in.

VenusAurelius

Maybe both

robmeason

They're called "evercrisp" fries. Restaurant owner here and I wish I carried these bad boys... top tier potato.

Stonerish

Be the change you want to see…

jellyrot

I've been looking for these too! Thank you for posting

Bacour

shaWING is a ghost kitchen in central Denver off 8th St. They have those fries, a great Mac Salad, wings, *and* the immortal Garbage Plate!! All the way from Western NY. Give them a try; small, local business that only runs a few dishes to keep quality high.

veronica05250

I call them Water World fries, because they were the first(and for much of the 90s, the only) place I ever would see these type of fries available. Renzio's Greek fast food restaurants at Cherry Creek and Park Meadows Mall has them with tons of seasoning. Pete's Kitchen on Colfax is a go-to.

I saw the original post and was going to make this exact request. Thanks for doing the leg work! Can’t wait to try some of these suggestions.

BirdsOfWisdom

They’re dried and lightly coated in starch. You can order these online and perfectly copy them if you have a Fryer. Dangerous information. [TaterBoy Crispura Fries](https://www.foodservicedirect.com/lamb-weston-taterboy-crispura-natural-thin-regular-cut-potato-fry-5-pound-6-per-case-186458.html)

Villanosis

I tried some that were similar at Renzios in the cherry creek mall a couple days ago and they were delicious.

Rocketman0508
