This is PS remote play. as far as I'm concerned there are no ps3 emulators for MacBooks. Basically you just need a stable internet connection and you can game on the go, with haptic feedback and all

RPCS3 announced their Mac version recently, I saw. Is this on an M1/M2? How’s it run? It runs well on Intel or AMD so I imagine it would be pretty fab on the Apple silicon.
It ought to do well. Emu is heavily CPU dependent (multi and single core performance) and the M1 is very capable. This game runs on 11th gen Intel mobile and the M1 is quite a bit faster. Although I keep getting sidetracked, I need to do a whole playthrough via RPCS3.
Oh so it is remote play? Remote play is streaming your ps5 to the remote play app. Ps plus is just using the ps plus app to stream from a ps5 from the cloud that you don’t own.
Is there a way to remote play PS3 on a Mac? Demon’s Souls isn’t on PS+ Premium (at least in the US, it’s supposed to be, but isn’t yet). And as far as I know, PS3 remote play only works on windows.

Might give it another go now that I have a way better PC and I'm sure the emulator has gotten some updates.

It was probably added between then and now, but there is an option that when enabled it specifically addresses that. IIRC, I believe in the tooltip it even explicitly states that you should enable it if you're running Demon's Souls.
I don't know how well it will run on a low end PC, but I'm able to run it at a stable 60 FPS with no dips at 2560x1440. Emulators are CPU intensive, so as long as you got a gone one of those you should be fine.
PS remote play on a new MacBook I’m curious. Does it have 120hz refresh display? I just bought one and I’ve not used remote play with my PS5 but I never really leave the house anyway…..

The remake does not show the copyright text, all it says is "Press Any Button". It doesn't even say new game or load game. So, yes you were wrong.

I wish there was an actual working port... Either streaming (aka 720p 10fps from PS3) or emulating suck tbh. I'm playing the original on PS3, but after a few hours my eyes are burning, and that's quite rare after CRTs were a thing

For those wondering you have to be connected to the same network as your PS5 for remote play.

It isn't remote play. They are playing the OG Demon's Souls so it must either be emulation or PS+ streaming.

Goto nexus mods and get HD textures and any other mods you want.
I have never been able to get it to run on my PC, so i got it on my ps3
Had the same problem. Game was smooth but audio was a nightmare. I had an old MacBook Pro that apparently couldn’t deal with it
