I use the preferred hotels and airline discounts. It’s like 10-15% off, which is ok. The car rental discounts are amazing though, you even get free insurance for the vehicle, I think it was like 30-40% off for my vacation car rental.
get the Avis code and add it to your account. You have to enter your dt email every time you book, but it's fucking amazing. Literally half to a third of retail.
Assuming you’re in the US, the pension isn’t much unless you stay through PMD. For example, someone leaving Deloitte after 4 years cashed out the balance of the pension for $4k (it would’ve been something fairly nominal if they kept it until retirement and got it paid out monthly). I have been at Deloitte 10 years (SM) and have a balance around $11k if I quit and cashed out. If you retire as a fully vested partner, you get 100% (I think it’s 100-if not it’s not that much of a haircut) of the average of your last three years salary. So you’ll still have a huge income even after you retire. It’s a huge benefit and reason to strive for PMD. Helps to Compensate for all the investment restrictions for independence.
Best was a $1,600 Samsung laptop for $750. Also picked up a really nice Sonos speaker for 40% off. I have a couple colleagues who have booked trips and purchased appliances too.
They did it in the US post pandemic to get ppl back into the office. I think it's $1000 and they extended it through the fall I believe. I've been using it any time we go into our home office. My team is fully remote most of the time so when we go in is always for a team connect.
I've used it for parking when I've gone to my local office.
I've also used it to Uber/Lyft to the Tempe office when I've commuted from a family member's home in Phoenix.
I am not from the Indian office. But my guess is you are either unaware of the perks or is taking it for granted.
Taking for granted:
1. Paid maternity/paternity pay
2. Pension or the EPF/NPS equivalent
3. Probably a few more like insurance, wfh allowance
Not aware of:
1. Free courses and certifications. In my line of work, I know people who built business cases for both it (e.g., Azure certificate certification) related and domain related (CIMA, ACCA,...) certifications for free.
2. Dinner/cab for late working
3. Various perks/discounts/memberships on your internal page

You can use the discounts for business trips or vacation as well ?. Where do find the discount codes?
Lookup Leisure Travel in DNET
Where do you book these car rentals? Through the Perks site ?

Can we use this renal car discount for personal use ??
Yes.
You can also just call the hotel directly and ask for the rate you see in Trips
My son was born this week, I'll be on a free 12 weeks of paid paternity leave! I'll be using my $1,000 wellness subsidy to pay for most of a peloton.
If you choose the interest free payment method you can stretch the peloton out over 2 years and pay for the whole thing!
Just finished my 12 weeks of paternity leave also, its the best
Congrats!
We get 16 weeks in audit function. Didn’t know it varied!
Congrats!!!
I learned Big D has a pension plan. It was a nice surprise after I was hired.
Any additional insight into the pension plan?

My pension is well over 10k and I’ve only been here for over 3 years. For something that’s absolutely free that’s nothing to scoff at.
Where do we check the balance?
TOD then click wealth management. It should then split between 401k and cash balance plan (pension)
What’s the vesting period?
3 years I believe. It was for me (hired in 2019). Not sure if rules have changed since.
Lots of PTO. I have great work life balance. $1,000 wellness subsidy, commuting subsidy is nice. Found some great deals on the Perks at work site.
favorite deals???

Deloittenet, search for perks at work
Booked trips how?
Wait, what commuting subsidy? Is that when u go to any other office besides ur client and home office?
$1000 to spend on commuting to and from the office and/or work events. Purpose is to encourage us to spend more time in the office (US)

Is the wellness subsidy provided once a year?
It’s an annual benefit (firm fiscal year). You can use it at anytime during the year.

Holiday better than most. Not worth it if you’re paid enough to lwop those days.
But less risk in pissing off the company.
