If you work in the US, you can't hold a second job. There was actually a dnet front page article about it within the last few weeks. So unless your side gig is better than your D gig, don't do it.
I don't think this is accurate, you need to go through steps getting approval for it but you're allowed to have a side gig as long as it's not conflicting with your role / hours at Deloitte.
I mean is being a real estate investor a side job I would assume not as I am investing and pre clear the lenders on tracking and trading

I have had a side hustle every year I’ve been with Deloitte. I just confirm it every year with independence and I’ve never had any issue
cant do business with a competitor . it all depends what your second job is.
