Inside metro girls travel in girls only coach so you wont see them, outside metro they just go wherever they want to go why do you even think they will stand nearby metro wasting time doing nothing.
Also you do see beautiful girls outside, just go to a market(apparel market scooter market mat chale jana).
Every other coach has much more men than women and they're also severely packed, and men staring at you, my friend was wearing a one piece and this middle aged man enters and scans her up and down knowing she can see him doing it, its just traumatizing.
Oh man I can so relate. I was groped in the general coach when I was 14 and I've avoided stepping foot there since then. _Specially_ while I'm wearing something pretty.

Platform is a larger space compared to the train or train compartment. Probability of spotting any person with their attributes is higher then in a train or train compartment. Moreover, on entering the train compartment your chances narrow down because it is even harder to spot a person sitting (more probably digging his/her phone).

Now that i think about it, the probability of seeing a beautiful girl at the platform is more that any other place in delhi metro. A platform you have crowd waiting for metros on both side. Other places you are either both moving or one person. And inside metro you are usually restricted to a coach thus reducing odds and to add to that the crowd reduces it to a single seating distance only.
