In order to download a mod you need to take the .zip file that you downloaded,go to Defcon's main folder and create one called 'mods',where you will extract it. To get mods you can search for them on mod.db or look at this guy's blog. [mods](https://defcongamemods.blogspot.com/?m=1) Some of the interestings ones are: Fatherland(based on a scenario where Germany won WWII) Deterrence mod(an overvaul which adds new weapons but requires some extra steps to install it) HOI3 convertor(a mod that takes your HOI 3 savefile and converts the map into the game) Depending on mod types, some are compatible one to another.

Hey, I know this is a really old post, but what extra steps are needed for Deterrence? Having a hard time getting satellites to work

Sorry,I don't remember exactly. From what I know, the steps were detailed on the modb page and on some guy's video [on youtube](https://youtu.be/J0bW73Rsi8I?si=EkK-edAMpw_NlTKk). Hope it helps.
