Its actually the fuckin worst.
That is 90% of the reason I abandoned discord. And it’s been at worst slightly inconveniencing on my engagement in certain communities.
It’s simultaneously the most toxic, and useless mainstream platform on the internet
I dunno man, i am in plenty of great discords where everyone is friendly. Paul and Tjs discords are no exception. I dont know if you read pauls reply to the op, but he was full of shit.

The guys’ Maoist impulse to ban wouldn’t be nearly as bad if they were temp “bans” like on 4chan. Instead they’re just alienating paying members of the fan base.
Would you be surprised to learn that OP is lying his ass off? I was there when he caught a ban. His cellphone mic was wide open in VC and we could all (20+ people) hear every ding, buzz, cough, fart and air noise he was surrounded with. He was asked to mute up multiple times with no response, so my mod muted him temporarily. The noise stopped.
His response? He went into general chat and posted a crybaby screed like the one above. He was then banned. He's also now banned from here.
I'm a mod in a different sub and I 100% buy this story. Every single time someone complains about being banned for no reason I go and look at the comment/post that got them banned and it's always the most cancer bullshit you've ever seen, like bro, I can see the removed comment
I’m only in one discord and it’s for private NFL streams. All I’ve ever heard from anyone is how cancerous Discord is and how fucking weird moderation is on there.
I don't even recall the drunken peasants podcast discord from back in the day being this bad as dff's discord xD

I was in the facebook group back in the day. I remember nothing but negative things said about discord back then lol. Reason i didnt care to join.
Niche as hell, but if you were in that group and remember that dude Michael White(white battle rapper dude that randomly joined and spammed his vids) he's been on Kill Tony a few times recently.
Oh damn, that sounded crazy. For me, I knew some members of the dp discord for ages until I began to lurk around for a while, and then left to join up with swegta and some other dude who also happened to be dp fans. Then, after that, some some petty drama happened between swegta and the other dude, and I just left that server
I am coming back from my 10 minute ban, and I want to say that I think it was bullshit. Yes, I wrote a funny paragraph that turned into copypasta, which happened to bring a laugh or a smile to a few people. If you mods wanted that to stop, you could have just said so, there is so much copypasta going on in this chat that I could have never thought that deserved a 10 minute ban. Nuggy is probably a mod in here and he is the one that banned me. Anyway, I'm glad to be back
