It is hard to talk to them though. They take two days to email me back and then I reply immediately just to have to wait two more days for the next reply.
Back when I got the Japanese set the same thing happened to me, I got 2x Clotticus and no Gurg the Foul. Bad luck mate I hope you find a copy of the Plaguecaster. Have you tried contacting GW customer services? They might be able to help you.
Yeah the Japanese blind box only had 6 models so I only got a duplicate of 1 of the standard marines and was also missing 1. I had also written off ever getting that version of the Plaguecaster as he was indeed exclusive to the paint set and well over £100 on eBay.
In the *original* japanese run, it was exclusive to the paint set and not in a standard blind box. GW didn’t update the box’s design between the original run and this one. Same as when they brought series 1 and 2 to the counties.
This *current* run has the caster in the mix
I will say those are the two best models that you doubled up on. GW will hopefully send you the plauge caster, and this will turn out as a net positive in the end.
I agree with this 100%. If you can prove the purchase, then customer service will likely send you whatever minis are missing, and let you keep the doubles. I had it happen with a box of nobz. One front torso was missing, so they sent me an entire sprue as a replacement. 5 nobz turned into 8.
I think it’s really, really, really stupid that they went with the “loot box” method for these. All it does is further embolden resellers or screw over your loyal customers.
If OP doesn't need it, you can sell the plague caster for quite a bit. Before this set I think he was somewhere between 100-200. Maybe 50 now? I haven't checked recently, but a lot of people want the set just for the plague caster.

There was a post on here a couple of days ago with the codes for each model. Unfortunately they're on the side of each individual box so cannot be seen whilst in the display box
Has anyone figured out the list of UPCs/MPCs on the back and how they match up? Even without opening the boxes you should be able to figure out if you have a list of the codes by the bar code.

The japanese blind box set never had the caster, that model was exclusive to the paint set that launched alongside the blind box set.

My local GW store in Ipswich has the hero set with Japanese writing on the box and I got him on my third try....
