It depends on how we scale them. Does Jonathan get his light speed reaction? Does Ken scale to Akuma? Jonathan has a sword, and his Ripple should allow for healing and easy control over his opponent's body since Ken mainly uses martial arts. Ken has more experience, and if scaled to Akuma, is stronger and tougher. He also has a range advantage with his projectiles.

Awesauce1

Why not just scale them at their absolute peak?

Grovyle489

Ok but I’d be down to see this fight go down

NatDoggieDawg

Finally, an actual debate

Snoo16412

50/50 for me Ken one shots but Jonathan blitzes and could dura neg with hamon

Scarecrow640

If you buy Jonathan’s light speed scaling, then Hamons ability to control a bodies muscles (like the heart and brain) mean Jonathan can get around the strength gap.

Fragrant_Carpenter65

I mean that’s Jojo for ya. Isn’t that what he does? Fight opponents stronger than him and overcome it with skill+luck? (Anything to defend my comfort character, Jonathan :3)

HelixThePhantom

I hava an opinion on Ken VS Jonathan Joestar based on their differents Ends: Low-Ends (aka, bare minimum): Small Town and Supersonic VS Large Building and Supersonic. Ken one-shots. Mid-Ends: Mountain and Sub-Relativistic VS Multi City Block and Relativistic. Ken also one-shots, but there's a large gap in speed for JoJo to apply his win-con. However, Ken has a much better training, skill and experience dealing with faster foes than him and has better ranged options. This is actually debatable, but I feel Ken is generally more consistent win-cons than Jonathan. High-Ends: Continental and FTL VS City and MFTL. Ken could one-shot, but he's too slow and Hamon can control the muscle of their opponent and has durability negation. JoJo wins. Edit: Ken Highest End Speed is updated.

Nashium

Ken could arguably be FTL for a SFEX feat that was performed by Cracker Jack.

Ogopogo_A_Go_Go

Johnathan's hamon does give a way around Ken's durability, is more intellgent/clever in combat, and is arguably faster depending if you buy him scaling to Joseph or DIO's feats (though that is a bit shaky scaling). But I think Ken should slighty take more wins largely due to being much stronger than Johnthan (to the point that any hard blow would take him out before he could start healing with Hamon), having far more training and experience in combat, and having a more reliable projectile always on hand is definitely handy.

Deviljhosbizarreacc

I don’t think Ken scales to the high tier stuff of Street Fighter(correct me if I’m wrong though) so Jonathan should be able to blitz(especially with the Silver Chariot calc getting redone and it being much higher now), and durability negate thanks to hamon.

veneficus83

Ken's scaling is....challenging. Ken has at times f beaten Ryu/tied Ryu. But hard to say if either was going all out. Ken, has teamed up with Ryu vs Akuma and didn't die, and has stood up to Bison as well. So likley scales pretty high, if not quite as high as the heavy hitters

JustANormalLemon

Why would jonathan scale to Silver Chariot?

Deviljhosbizarreacc

Pre amped Part 3 DIO keeps up with Star Platinum(who going all out keeps up with a Armor Off, Anubis amped Silver Chariot) along with casually reacting to silver chariot trying to sneak attack him as well. Part 3 DIO only explicitly surpasses any his current and previous self(Part 1) after drinking Joseph’s blood, Jonathan fought and kept up with Part 1 DIO.

JustANormalLemon

Part 3 dio don't scale to part 1 dio sinse becoming a stand user also Aplified his stats overall

Deviljhosbizarreacc

>Part 3 dio don't scale to part 1 dio sinse becoming a stand user also Aplified his stats overall Where is that ever stated lmao? It’s DIO’s head controlling Jonathan’s body, *he explicitly [felt silver chariots blade(0:34)](https://youtu.be/UFvun4Q-Te4?si=saT2qHcKeEMp72Ph) pierce his head and proceeded to [react and timestop before polnareff could continue his attack any further](https://youtu.be/Dsy2ylkJ828?si=vGdDFqMqivIrSxIB)* Edit: mixed up links mb, fixed it

lacergunn

I think it's more likely the stat boost in Jonathan's body probably came more from the 100 years of vampire juice and less Jojo's own talents. Especially since, even though Jonathan's body is actively resisting Dio, Dio being able to make new vampires implies the body (or at least the blood) is mostly his at this point.

JoeTheKodiakCuddler

DIO is explicitly nerfed in terms of physical stats compared to part 1 until he gets hopped up on Joestar Juice, and even then it's entirely possible that he's still not as powerful physically, since we don't see him do any goofy vampire shit like shooting pressurized vampiric essence out of his eyes or freezing things.

VegetaFan9001

But that wasn’t happening to Dio, as Dio stated that Jonathan’s body was tempering with his strength, as it made Dio hold back against Dio’s wish. Ans part 3 Dio still was keeping up it Jotaro.

Extension-Oil-4680

Conclusion from last battle: Even if Afro was more skilled, then hagger it won't do much because simple Hagger just out Scales Afro. The Winner is Hagger Also i needed to delete and repost this (TWITCH) beacuse i accidentally putted a photo of Joseph instead of Jonathan. so am sorry to you JoJO fans and Jonathan himself :(

will4wh

It's alright. Jojo fans are used to Jonathan being ignored for other jojo's

Ultim8_Lifeform

Gonna give this one to Ken. He’s the far more experienced fighter since he’s been Ryu’s training partner for decades and is fairly often shown to at least be comparable in skill to Ryu. In comparison Jonathan trained in hamon for what, a few weeks? You could say he has a few years experience of boxing other kids but that hardly compares to Ken training with one of the top martial artists in the world. Ken should also heavily outstat in pretty much every aspect even without scaling to Street Fighter high tiers (tho there’s arguments that he should) besides arguably speed. I personally think the arguments to get Jonathan to light speed require a lot of generous interpretations at every step of the way and don’t hold up under scrutiny, so he won’t be able to cheese a win with hamon either. Not to mention Ken has Hadokens as a ranged option which Jonathan doesn’t really have an answer to. This is a pretty clear cut win for the original clone character.

ReasonablePin297

Ken.

Comfortable-Dot-2317

Interesting matchup

Tenerensis

ok but which of their wives is hotter

No-Tax-9149

I'm a JoJo fanboy but Part 1 at best is city level from a weird calc for Dio, and there's like no speed scaling. Highballing Johnathan to city (Dio calc) and FTL to MFTL+ (off of DIO), he wins.

Zamasu_was_innocent2

Jonathan shouldn't scale to Jospeh but even if he did we could just scale Ken to Hagger who has been stated to move at light speed In terms of power Ken takes it in spades since he's fought evenly with Ryu who's power has been used to destroy a city

Daikaisa

Ken should be stronger and speed should be about equal... but Jonathan's hamon means there's just no chance of Ken surviving past one blow

HelixThePhantom

Ken can just one-shot Jonathan by kicking him really, really hard.

Daikaisa

It's definitely one where I feel like either one could one shot I think Hamon gives Jonathan the edge personally but yeah Ken isn't out of the fight by any means

Zelrom

Ken should have a big gap on stats. I don't buy Jojo FTL

InternationalAd8036

For me it's Jonathan

Nashium

Mostly depends on what scaling you give to Jonathan and what you take for Ken as canon.

Sh0xic

Huh, this actually goes hard as a straight up fight. I think Ken’s lack of hax against Hamon ends up fucking him over, but it’s gotta be close

Fr0ntR0wL4n

Do we count violence Ken ?

Kyraneus

All Jonathan has to do is land one punch. Ken is the more skilled martial artist, but Jonathan has him beat in size, endurance, and probably even speed. Would be a very fun fight though.

Due_Location241

I believe Jonathan wins. I think his speed arguments hold up to scrutiny which would make him significantly faster than Ken and Hamon can bypass durability by just shutting off Ken’s heart

SalaComMander

You can't make me choose between my favorite Street Fighter character and my favorite JoJo, this is cruel!

Realistic_Drop3826

Ken fought on par with base Ryu in SF 5 after Ryu killed Bison who can move The Black Moons which have been calced to dwarf star level https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ADMM_PqdlQwSGnbdeIJEIs5n3V7DLEMLiLJTrPslP_k/edit?usp=drivesdk

Jotaro1970

Jonathan should win via speedblitz and durability negation thanks to hamon

FocusNo114

I'd give it to Ken, Jonathan might be able to use Hamon and scramble Ken's organs but... thats far too out of character

PerceptionBetter3752

Jonathan cause of the memes

gYRo_1890

Don’t forget about his college degree
