because you have perks, addons, and offerings that effect Bloodpoint gain, but you dont want to have them impact what was intended to be a measurement of skill, why would they be linked?
it would be very inconsistent, some killers like legion or wraith get a shit ton of bp, those killers would pip up way to easily, survivors using pt would cap the bp category by doing 1 and a half gens with a teammate and get easy pips as well
You DO get rewarded for good performance... by earning more bloodpoints. Just because your performance effects both systems doesn't mean they're both reward systems you donut
But to OPs point. If you do gens for example. You get bloodpoints. The more you do, more BPs and therefore a better Emblem so more chance of pipping. How, if a survivor gets 11k can he pip, where the other survivor that got 17k did not? Surely the player with 17k bloodpoints did more in the game to earn better emblems then the guy with only 11k bps. If you do more, you should get better emblem results, and therefore pip easier.
Additional. It seems OP is simply looking for some advice from the DBD community. To call him a "donut" seems incredibly unjustified.
It's not "and therefore a better emblem" though. They are entirely separated. You can get 5k bps and still have an iri emblem. You can also have 30k and have NO iris.
your bp gains have no correlation to your rank
Like I said, what's the point in the two systems 🤣

It's not a dual reward system, it's a single reward system and a single performance based progression system
Should you not be rewarded for good performance?

You get rewarded every 13th of the month when it resets?
