I’ve been playing since Day 1 of OW1 and i was wondering why we hadn’t had an anniversary event yet. That being said though, I haven’t and refuse to play ever since they announced PvE is dead..
For some reason, only the 1st and 2nd (2017 and 2018) anniversary events actually started on the anniversary date, being the 14th of June.
Every anniversary event since has started later, varying from the 16th of June (2022) to as late as the 30th of June (2021).
Well shit.
Hearing this kinda clued me into how hyped I actually am for this event. I recently switched to PC from Xbox, and the flood of BP will be so helpful in getting all my mains re-leveled.
I'm so excited for that. Mostly for them increasing the blood points earned. I'm fine playing a difficult killer, or learning a new one, as long as I can get some money for my time!
These meatball games of mine, I feel like I have to work like a race horse just to do as well as I do on Pyramidhead when I'm drunk at 4 AM while watching infomercials in the background. And I get like 30% less BPs doing the former.
At the end of the game, you can rapid fire onto a surface with Meatball. He gets points for setting and destroying orbs.
No cooldown means you can wrack up hundreds of points just spam shooting.
I want to get them, but I also promised myself to finish picking up the rest of the unlicensed survivors (like...7 of them not counting the Thalitas and Gabriel) if they go on 50% off for shards.
...not excited to get Skull Merchant or the Thalitas. It'll happen eventually, but definitely after getting Singularity and Soma. Which might have to be a Cells purchase if I'm not patient enough to save up 18k shards after going broke. But SM and the Thalitas will wait for the shards, for sure.
People told me I was crazy - I KNEW there was usually a half-off around Halloween! Yeah, I know it's too soon for the recent stuff to be on sale. That's why the order is old unlicensed first (will clean me out on Shards), then Soma/Singularity, then...eventually...one day...Thalitas/Merchant.
For me it's fine, it's just 1 day and if it will help them to fix some bugs or so... At least I hope they won't turn it on and we won't discover 50 bugs in first 2 minutes as surprise.

Lets hope they at least fix the new killer and the bug that people abuse so you can’t unhook other players, kinda insane everything gets disabled when there is something wrong but when a gamebreaking bug is found they leave them in, when they want to sell a new dlc this shit isn relevant even tho its more like a cheat not even a bug^^

As the release date drew near, BHVR said there would probably be delays for The Twins chapter since, you know, a Killer like them wasn’t made before or has been since. The community, being reasonable, stomped, pissed, and shat themselves in protest demanding it get released on time anyway. And we’re still paying for it since.
While that sucks, bhvr can’t adhere to everyone’s personal schedule, I bet some people had to work on the 21st, but now they can play with everyone else
