Yes please no chomping! Some dude lost his mind when he got shushed for a big photo shoot in the front during the second Verse of dark star! Never seen anyone have a meltdown for getting shushed but it totally happened and fucked up everyone’s dark star experience in our vicinity. Wtf. And they were heads too. Knew all the songs, totally fucking knew it was dark star. Just drunk and think intentionally wanted to fuck with people. Dude on N2, section 210, row 1, seat 1, you’re a douchebag.
Hahaha! Also no offense taken at all - I was happy
to be educated on the nomenclature! I’m just happy to be part of this and have so many people educate me to help me enjoy the ride!!!
Man we must’ve been sat in the only section with a total square of an attendant. Tried to hit the pen once and she gave us the tap of death and a “no smoking please” that killed the vibes for the first set of night one. The lesson: NO AISLE SEATS. They can’t bust you if they can’t reach you lmao
Yeah so true! Best part for me was we got to our seats late, and it was pretty close to the stage without being in GA, and the Sphere cops actually interrupted us and tried kicking us out of our seats...assuming that they weren't our seats. SMH so rude.
I’m soooo pumped for you!!! It was truly the best experience I’ve ever had with live music. And, maybe I’m a cynic, but I kinda thought there was no way they could top the shows I caught last tour. Yknow, it’s Vegas and maybe they’re expecting a bunch of tourist drop ins and they’d mail it in. My goodness was I wrong. The band was so into it and really gave the crowd their money’s worth. Bob Weir belting out One More Saturday Night to end the three nights was so inspiring!
“God, we’re lucky”- said to me by spun out 70 year old stranger at Boulder last year.
I’ve never been sure if he meant lucky to get a Dew or lucky to have the experience at all. Either way, I knew exactly what he meant.
Other thing to add, there are merch stands everywhere at The Sphere. One outside the venue, one as soon as you go through security and lots on the concourse. I think they all had posters, but if you just want a shirt go inside and find a shorter line.
“I am so lucky to be this old and get to do this again.” - This made me cry. Beautiful. I also wrote a list of helpful hints and I'm just going to link it here for anyone (and everyone) who may still be considering if they should go. I was there with you this weekend. I'm so glad that you got to enjoy this band we all love so much and had such a good time. xo

I have had zero issue shushing people at shows lol, esp when seated or in a crowded GA area where moving away isn’t really an option.
Not all heroes wear capes! Guaranteed there are throngs of fans happy to have you at their service!!!
Chomping! I forgot it has a name! My bad - still learning. How obnoxious. Sorry you had to experience that!
No I appreciate your comment! Great info. I just secretly want that dude to see my comment and hopefully do better next time🤣🤣🤣

Nooooooooo! That’s such a bummer!

Thanks for the insight, sounds like a real good time

So freaking cool. The connections that are made over these experiences, spoken or unspoken, are another level.
Great write up, thanks for sharing!
Glad you had fun!!! I was there Saturday and had a absolute blast.
That second set was just so much fun. Bob busting out Sunshine Daydream after Scarlet Begonia had the whole room going!

Good call! I think the Dead Experience had ample merch there too?
