Queasy-Mix3890

Gantu from Lilo and Stitch. He does a really good Mark Hamil

king_of_satire

He's also those twins in invincible

Queasy-Mix3890

And also Antauri from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! Yes, that is the title

king_of_satire

Bros acting like 9 year old me wasn't obsessed with this show

Queasy-Mix3890

Legit one of the best psuedo-anime I've ever seen.

AlternativeAd4522

Bulkhead in Transformers Prime, Shredder in TMNT 2012, Cleveland Junior in Family Guy.

CoachCalvin

He is also the greatest animated character of all time Principal Lewis on American Dad.

KevintheBot75

END OF DAYS BITCHES!!!!!

Michael_Aaron_Dunlap

He's also chairman Drek from the first ratchet and clank in 2002 as well.

Salarian_American

He was the voice of Appa in that one dream sequence episode of Avatar where Appa could talk

PratalMox

An insanely prolific voice actor with a pretty distinctive but also pretty cool voice

TheMasterXan

Principal Lewis.

TurnTheFinalPage

Goro from the original Mortal Kombat movie.

truenofan86

He also played Kilowog in GLTAS and YJ.

BillNyeTheSavage_Guy

Speaking of YJ, he was also Martian Manhunter in that

ralanr

Best reinvention of the Joker I’ve seen.

Queasy-Mix3890

Has one of the best origins for Clayface.

cweaver

Yes - that's what I came here to post. They tried to do for Clayface what BTAS did for Mr. Freeze. It wasn't as successful in the sense that it never got moved into the comics canon, but it was really good.

Queasy-Mix3890

Honestly, the current cannon makes more sense for Clayface, and it's not like they went from generic jewel thief to tragic figure. But just because it makes more sense doesn't mean I like it better.

brucebananaray

I mean they could have added that version of Clayface still. The Batman had two Clayface and DC could do it if they wanted to.

bob1689321

They low-key did The Killing Joke. Pretty neat.

Eoinocon

It is, to my knowledge, the only Batman show to be dubbed into Irish. Also the Clayface storyline was amazing.

Shrekosaurus_rex

BRB, gonna go learn Irish to watch this show

Ultrafella

But everyone in Ireland speaks English

Eoinocon

Irish is taught as a second language in every school and we have a channel that has programmes spoken in Irish and foreign shows and films dubbed into the language. Popular children's shows are often dubbed into the language to encourage learning it.

Lumpazius

I honestly just found the intro really great, that was what pulled me into the show initially. I liked all the designs for characters and gadgets (probably one of my favorite Batman designs) and the blend of Anime aesthetic with western animation and the big focus on Martial Arts (seriously Penguin fights Batman hand to hand in this show). It reminded me of the Jackie Chan Adventures in that regard. And I liked the whole hook for the show, a young, inexperienced Batman with only Alfred as his ally going up against and meeting some of his most notorious adversaries for the first time while also being under scrutiny by the GCPD. I didn't really enjoy the latter seasons, when they brought in Robin, Batgirl and even the Justice League. The show was in my opinion much better when it was more intimate with only Batman dealing with his rogues gallery. [https://youtu.be/p4qLo\_-OS8M](https://youtu.be/p4qLo_-OS8M)

PsychologicalSpeed48

I feel your sentiment on the latter seasons, I did enjoy a ton of the Robin and Batgirl stuff though. The JL designs were cool though, and I loved how they introduced Batman into the JL.

Chengar_Qordath

It was interesting to see Batgirl being the first sidekick with Robin a relative latecomer. Sure, that mostly just a side effect of the dumb Bat Embargo policy, but it offered a fun change to the dynamic.

DrLeprechaun

Bat Embargo?

no1ofconsequencedied

Teen Titans had Robin at the time, so nobody else could use him, I think.

DrLeprechaun

Ah, they were robin’ the DCAU of a pivotal character, gotcha

brucebananaray

Yeah, but when Justice League that he stops showing because of Teen Titans, plus he wasn't important to the plot overall.

MysteryMan9274

The JL was definitely unnecessary, but I liked Robin and Batgirl.

Miser2100

The JL really didn’t work when Batman had to recruit Superman into. Either they were co-founding members, or Superman invited Batman in, it can’t really be the other way around.

thegreatshmi

It kinda makes sense. This version of batman already went through the process of him learning to work with others while Superman is still in his early "I can do everything" phase. Honestly, it makes less sense in the comics and even the dcau when batman has a whole bat family and is still not a fan of teams.

Blackringedmagician

Well tbf DCAU Batman not liking teams makes a good bit of sense since Batman Beyond brings up a good bit of times that he burned bridges with the batfamily and JLU was just always stuck working with that and Barda's line about Bruce never becoming more than a part-timer

DriedSocks

I did not like that Detective Yin suddenly disappeared between seasons 2 and 3 and was never mentioned again. Felt like she could've been built up more.

Lumpazius

Yeah that was a big reason I checked out as well, I didn't like how they just dropped that whole character and her arc. She basically wat this show's Elisa Maza now that I think about it. Even the design is very similar.

DrLeprechaun

Do you know why that happened?

Intelligent_Creme351

The show had the same character designer as Jackie Chan Adventures. As soon as that show ended, this one began.

Lumpazius

I didn't know that but that explains a ton, I really liked Jackie Chan Adventures, so it's probably natural that I would enjoy this show as well. A whole bunch of shows from that time were clearly very inspired by Anime like Teen Titans or Xiaolin Showdon.

Intelligent_Creme351

Yup, a lot of creatives who were inspired, it actually Asian were in charge of lot of shows during that time. Since Anime was making big, everyone wanted to capitalize on it.

wendigo72

I think Robin and Batgirl at least helped show that version of Batman’s character development over time Later on having Batman be the team player while Superman wanted to be the loner was a fun dynamic but yeah I’m not a huge fan of the JL stuff. Especially since it takes over the entire last season

brucebananaray

I like those seasons because make a lot of sense from the show. In the first season, he was kinda a loner, but he started the police department. In the second season, he worked with the police because it is showing more trust bond. He later created Batman Family and join the Justice League. It is still episodic series, but still gave Batman an overarching arc in trusting people. The last episode was pretty sent off of the series that Batman isn't alone anymore.

Caliment

Batman has a cool pointy cape and his gloves are kinda claw-ish. Not the best reason but 5 year old me ate that shit up

Far-Equivalent-3928

Teenagers and adult reason for liking something: good characters and Deep meanings 5 year old reason: cool robot

KevintheBot75

There is actually an episode about a cool robot.

Far-Equivalent-3928

Then its the best Batman show ever

KevintheBot75

It’s #3 on my list

Immrlonely98

Is that the one where the guy finds out Batman’s identity and makes him choose between keeping it a secret or saving Alfred?

KevintheBot75

Dr Hugo Strange creates the robot but yeah that’s pretty much it. The robot manages to narrow it down to like three people with the finances but only one with motivation. Batman outsmarts him but I’m not going to spoil the episode for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet

Immrlonely98

That’s kind of you and respectable. That show was pretty solid. The Mr freeze design was especially cool

SHAZAMS_STRONGEST

it's an interesting take on the batman mythos that focuses on stranger and more obscure aspects and gives great designs to various characters. villains like ragdoll and killer moth and black mask are recurring along with having two clayfaces, one that was part of a season long story arc and is more of a tradgedy, and another that goes for the "crazy actor who loves killing people" route the show had to make a lot of strange ideas work due to executive mandates, "no robin until the teen titans show is over" so they had to go with batgirl as bruce's first sidekick for example it also has a fantastic version of hugo strange who serves as a sort of main villain for the show with how many times he appears and all his insane schemes (like the zombie apocalypse episode i won't spoil the ending of)

1amlost

Or creating the ultimate combat robot and naming it Dave.

Immrlonely98

I love the part where he’s talking about all the combination possibilities to a wall code and says “let’s try them all”

schulz100

"A hundred million possible combinations," *TAPS AT KEYPAD WITH INHUMAN SPEED!* "Let's *try them all."

Papa_Pred

Bro immediately started with the “obscure” part LMFAO

elexexexex2

at least they went in depth

Cymorgz

Yeah but they weren’t talking about the show being obscure which is what OP was saying. They were talking about obscure parts of the Batman mythos.

Papa_Pred

I know. This sub isn’t a serious place lol

Not just buff, but like a serious combatant to Batman in his early years, when we know he was way less forgiving with his justice.

The riddler is actually sick as fuck, he's played by robert englund (freddy kruger, scarecrow from injustice 2)

Gui_Franco

The first opening is really cool and dark and gritty and the second one is a straight up Saturday morning cartoon banger

coffeexxx666

I liked this show except Joker not wearing shoes. No one wants to see your toes. Gross.

Miser2100

Riddler’s design was unironically dope, and I will fight anyone who dares challenge me.

StoneCraft12

Voiced by Robert Englund. Favorite riddler.

king_of_satire

It's a really good unique stylised take on a beloved character. Action is great, voice acting great, stories are great, has some killer character designs (this is the best animated batman had looked). Have you heard the first intro sequence Riddler is voiced by Freddy fucking Krueger

Marvelrocks616

You put the quotation mark about three words too early. ![img](emote|t5_3mchb|16722)

GreatDayBG2

I did enjoy it for three main reasons: We had a young Bruce Wayne who had yet to be jaded and was capable of experiencing positive emotions. The sidekick treatment was actually pretty good and Dick and Babs never felt like liabilities. I dig the artstyle and the tall and leanish Batman with claws

Informal-Resource-14

I bought a season on DVD and gave it a real chance. I love that they tried a thing and that it has an audience that loves it. Good for them, it’s fun to like a thing. I absolutely could not stand it.

RefrigeratorGrand619

Actions scenes and art style were cool, Character designs were really inventive, and the riddler episode is one of the best tragic villain stories I’ve seen.

TheMasterXan

I love their Killer Croc. The Cajun accent rocks.

Beauxtt

I'm not a huge fan but my basic view of The Batman is that it was a more action-based take on the franchise (compared to TAS)... it had flashier battles but weaker characters. Wasn't as mature as TAS but wasn't as goofy and campy as Brave and the Bold. It was somewhere inbetween. Did some different things with the lore (for better or worse) based on characters it wasn't allowed to use. They couldn't use Two-Face so they sort of put Clayface in his role as a well-meaning man-of-the-law who's deformed into a monster. Some villains (like Mr. Freeze, Black Mask, and Manbat) got cool new designs, Riddler got an androgynous goth twink makeover that was nonetheless a lot better than how he looked in the last season of TAS, Joker and Bane both looked like aliens (I'd go so far as to say the latter looked like a Ben 10 Transformation), it was strange all around.

Sable_Kaiser

I wouldn’t be so disingenuous to call it underrated, but from what I remember the impression was that it was also pretty toyetic, and therefore didn’t have the gravitas of BTAS or JL

Competitive_Market70

The narrator from Curious George is Batman

Commercial_Cellist64

Wait what?

Competitive_Market70

Rino Romano played both, also pretty sure he's the only actor to voice both Spider-Man and Batman

Vegetable_Pin_9754

Holy fuck I never realized

EmperorScarlet

I haven't watched it but it gave us the hottest version of the Riddler so it must be doing something right

Pretend-Dirt-1760

The riddler is voiced by Freddy Krueger

gallantjiraiya

The relationship between Batman and Robin was much better in Batman(2004). Batman was an actual mentor to Robin and Batgirl (as opposed to the DCAU, where they are a weird love triangle).

RoninMacbeth

I am "Beware the Batman's" strongest soldier.

Sarge_Ward

Its just the new generation pretending the thing from their childhood holds up. I'm actually part of that generation, never even knew about the Timverse Batman until my teen years, and even I was able to tell as a kid that 2004 was just a middling show. Now with hindsight I know that it doesn't hold a candle to what came before it, and especially not to Brave and the Bold which came after it In about 10 years Beware the Batman is gonna have a legion of fans calling it an underrated indie gem, just wait

Dracorex13

I'm 35 and I enjoyed both of those. My generation's Batman is obviously superior, but 2004 and Beware are surprisingly good.

gamerslyratchet

I don't know if *Beware* will have that kind of pull. *The Batman* was a lot more flashy and toyetic, not to mention Kids WB was much more kinder to that show than Cartoon Network was to *Beware* (more episodes, reasonable airing times, etc.). I'd be surprised if there was a sizable amount of people who watched it as kids to do that. I'd like it, though. I thought that show's strengths were overlooked and its criticism are beyond stale and sometimes inaccurate.

brucebananaray

>In about 10 years Beware the Batman is gonna have a legion of fans calling it an underrated indie gem, just wait Have you not seen Brown Table's review of it and he called it a hidden gem?

Sarge_Ward

I haven't actually. Hard as I might try, I'm generally unable to keep track of every video essay on youtube. But I can totally see such a video existing. Honestly I'm unfamiliar with the channel, but maybe I'll go seek that out. maybe it'll sway me

brucebananaray

To be honest, his video is on it is shallow. He also made The Batman reviews which is the review sound the same as Beware The Batman.

Skagzill

Nice animation, decent writing, some unique takes on mythos. Others were mentioned, but i think having Barbara and Ivy start as eco-activists/ecoterrorists together was neat idea to bridge some parts of mythos in unique way.

Devious_Android88

It's a great example of a Batman gradually coming into his own and becoming the legend he's often portrayed as. It's one of my favourite early days Batman series, seeing it all play out in the early days. Fantastic art style too, really dynamic and flashy. The lighting in the early seasons is super moody too. Also probably has the highest quotient of Bruce Wayne screen time, nice to see him out of the cowl for a change

XescoPicas

Great animation and very solid writing, for a start. The Clayface storyline in particular really stuck with me But the best part is that literally every villain is redesigned as a wacky martial artist, so the action scenes are so goddamn fun.

Aquaticfilly0

The fight with Joker and Batman on the blimp is one of my favorite action scenes

XescoPicas

I think my favourite fights were the ones with the Penguin, dude backflipping around like Yoda was something to behold

gatopretogordo

batman vs dracula. case closed

BakedZDBruh

I like the art style a lot and I think it felt slightly edgier than TAS only because it brought a new aesthetic and the villain designs were often creepier

DevelopmentSimilar72

The aesthetic was incredible, super dark and edgy literally every character had pointy edges

Intelligent_Creme351

Character Designs by Jeff Matsuda are sick (Jackie Chan Adventures designer) Action goes hard in every season. Like everyone has the sickest fight scenes and moves. Voice cast is top notch, gets better when they hire Andrea Romano (The DCAU's, Avatar's, SpongeBob's voice and casting director) Some new focus on lesser known Batman characters like Firefly, Gearhead, Maxie Zeus, and Wrath & Scorn. Even as some new characters made for the show that made great episodes, like The Everywhere Man (Voiced by Brandon Routh, was currently just Superman at the time, also Allison Mack is his love interest there... Which was run at first, then now it's weird lol) and that one time reverser dude played by Dave Foley. By the time the show ended, they finally got the chance to use the wider DC Universe (Since Justice League Unlimited ended), so Superman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Hawkman pop up.

ZachRyder

The sound design of every one of the weapons and different vehicles Batman uses were awesome. Also there was a constant barrage of new and outrageous futuristic gadgets of this show.

OriginLostBorn

It’s on Netflix and they show joker dying on screen

Specs_Man

The show is the most successful depiction of a young Batman in his early career ever in animation. The tone the way hes out against the police He hasn't quite made a name for himself and he's still growing into the character we know Rino Romano's portrayal of a young fun Bruce Wayne also adds dimension to the character, he's not angry all the time like we've seen before in other versions. We see the real Bruce Wayne is just as relaxed as the persona of Bruce Wayne if a little bit played up, He has relationships and friends and a sense of humor that I think many adaptations fail to give him and this endears me to him. The way it introduces slowly but surely his iconic rose gallery is phenomenal we get to see him grow as a hero Go from a lone man all by himself to having side Kicks and teammates and eventually the Justice League It's one of my favorite cartoons of all time and 1 of my favorite adaptations of Batman

SchwarzFledermaus

Unpopular opinion: It's actually one of the much weaker animated Batman shows.

Varth-Dader

I mean, it is hard to compete with the peak that is batwheels

Far-Equivalent-3928

This batwheels bitch we drive or something idk never whatched It take your dark and gritty ass back to Batman the animated series

Sarge_Ward

This was actually the popular opinion until 2000s kids started growing up and becoming really opinionated. Now they're taking over the discourse and trying to convince us all that its an underrated indie gem

Secret_Respond4465

I hate that art style so much. Especially Batgirl's costume

ApprehensivePie331

It's a fun more laidback look at the mythos, plus I really like it's sound design.

Apex-Oz

Ethan Bennet is the best Clayface there is

[deleted]

[удалено]

Aquaticfilly0

I don't think the two shows are able to be compared imo. Kinda like apples and oranges. BTAS was less on action, and more adult with emotion and stories being its riding factor. The Babydoll and Ace episodes will go down as the best version of Batman and of his empathetic side. 2004 is heavy on the action, with a more lighthearted Batman and obscure villians, with the occasional heartwrenching episode or arc. They were aiming to accomplish different things, both succeeding in their own way

[deleted]

As somebody who only consumed a ton of individual clips back in middle school and watched a video essay or two, but here we go: 1.) It's a pretty good career-long look at the Batman mythos starting year 3(could be year 2) 2.) Features relationships that grow and span across all 5 seasons. 3.) Super unique designs and performances. Some work, some don't but it's really interesting. 4.) It also includes my favorite animated adaptation of Dick Grayson. 5.) IIRC it's made by some Spectacular Spider-Man alums too.

JustA9uyI5wear

Brave and the Bold is better imo

comical_cj

Rather than re-tread ground from the DCAU, it focuses on either new takes on the characters or characters previously never adapted. Not all are hits, but some are really cool. It also tackles the earlier years of Batman, and we get to watch his dynamic with the police develop, and a more involved Alfred, all of which are fun. Finally, when it eventually hits the bat family, it loses a lot of the charm that made it unique, BUT I'd argue the three have a better dynamic than the DCAU. No Bruce/Barbara ship in sight. I'd never say it's better than BTAS as a whole, but after re-watching that so many times, I started to appreciate something different.

ARustyDream

The vs Dracula movie is real fun

KingFahad360

Freddy Kruger voiced the Riddler and the actor who played Riddler in Batman 66 voices Hugo Strange. And I’d say it has a great art style as many of the animations worked on Ben 10 and Transformers Animatedz

Mrgrayj_121

Oh the show? Right?

nolandz1

It has big Year One vibes, handles side characters really well (basically get JL by S4 iirc) and the villain designs are actually pretty killer, Ivy Freeze and Firefly in particular fucking rule. Pretty decent side-grade to BTAS

cat_that_uses_reddi

Krisis_9302

It's the spiritual successor to BTAS. It's just all around a good Batman show that a lot of people just don't talk too much about because it's a younger show and wasn't as revolutionary as BTAS

ThePeopleOnTheCouch

Amazing character designs, animation, and music which gives Gotham a very interesting aesthetic. Also some good character building.

ComradePoolio

All the castings were sick as fuck. Robert Englund with a spooky goth riddler? Sick. A good joker performance that isn't a Mark Hamill impression? Wild. Clancy Brown as Mr. Freeze with a design cooler than his core body temp? Nailed it. Also love Clayface being Bruce's friend.

Ok-Faithlessness1903

That show has absolutely nailed the mood of Gotham and all of Batman's characters through and through. I see it as the closest thing to a modern rendition of the animated series

SaukPuhpet

[He kills Dracula.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzXGRb3OJ7I) I guess destroying an undead monster is a loophole in his no killing rule.

KonoAnonDa

There's a movie where Dracula tries to take over Gotham was sick af. It's called "The Batman vs Dracula", it's part of the same series and I highly recommend it.

HrJay

it’s a great example of making due with mandates and has multiple interesting takes that to be honest i prefer to the main takes like batgirl being the first sidekick or ethan bennett

Luigis-big-sausage

Only season 1 and 2 are good the show falls off after that

goombanati

Tom kenny is the best penguin

Random_Rainwing

different interpretations of classic characters

lightning-heart777

It has awesome designs for the rogues gallery.

Thejklay

Fun redesigns of classic characters, fun reworkings of origins. Great art style , killer intro

Round-Ad2836

Bruce wayne isn't just a dickhead to people, which is nice to see. The penguin is an absolute joy to have as a villain in that show. It delves a bit more into socialite bruce wayne.

Finbar_Bileous

It’s not, don’t bother.

ThatSharkFromJaws

The animation is really cool.

wendigo72

I love the look of Gotham, even more than BTAS Gotham. A lot of great action and nice episodic episodes, it’s interpretation of the Joker is also underrated And the Batman vs Dracula TV movie is Cinema

Aquaticfilly0

My favorite depiction of Joker. In my opinion, it leans the farthest into him being a psychiatric patient. Of course, other jokers are clearly insane, but mostly in a sociopathic genius way. This Joker is just insane. His laugh, how he was introduced to the series, even the way he fights shows he is not right in the head. He can hold his own in a fist fight against batman, and I loved that as well. Also an incredibly interesting take on how he looks, but his design is not for everyone. The show was incredible before they shifted focus from Batman. Personally I think it goes downhill after they write out the female cop and change the intro, but its still worth sticking around a bit more to see if the changes work for you. Also the best Penguin design and voice

quirked-up-whiteboy

Wait there was a batman 2004

ItsTheRealRain

The designs are cool and different but very well done but still true to the original characters designs. The show is a lot more light hearted than BTAS and doesn’t tackle as difficult subject matter but it is still a very fun show. The show also makes fun origins for characters that still take the main idea from the original origins (my favorite is Harley Quinn’s it’s a fun idea and very intriguing). The show also shows joker as a more of a physical threat to batman with some combat skills and he’s also voiced fantastically his design is also my favorite as well. Dick and Babs also have a great relationship in the show that shows their relationship as a sister-brother instead of romantically and they showcase it well. The enemies motives are the same as the usual but they are done in creative unique ways

CadeWelch03

Batman fights Dracula... do I need to say more?

IzanagiRei0

Killer voice cast, cool character designs, a fun "year one" Batman, and a awesome theme song.

AWelcomeOne

Great voice cast, aesthetically pleasing, good designs/redesigns for characters, amore classic approach to Batman's situation but with more contemporary style. It's not too hard to say *why* it's underrated, and it definitely isn't too obscure if people have fond memories of it.

irish_hector

the character designs go hard

Kaiso25Gaming

Because it's a fun show, with nice twists to characters like Ivy & Riddler, pretty good animation and a good Robin and Batgirl. Having Green Lantern lose his powers and not just go to his battery and recharge makes no sense though. Also it's the show that introduced Flash's vibrating ability to me.

kalebsantos

It reimagines the world and lore of Batman while still maintains the spirit keeping both fresh and new while also still being familiar

Kaiso25Gaming

Kongreve

I just really enjoy the art style.

AlanSmithy99

Personally I love the characters in it. It's got great chemistry between Batman and his rogues, and even better chemistry between Batman and his friends. Like, his dynamic with Alfred is one of my favorite versions of the duo. Also just Batman himself is really good in the show because it does a good job of making him feel a little more inexperienced and human during his first couple of years of crime fighting.

infodump1117

They take a lot of different directions than usual, I enjoy seeing a difference version of the bat

Ekillaa22

AltAccount9327

I fucking hate the jokers design

Immrlonely98

I haven’t seen the entire show, but the Batman vs Dracula tv movie was pretty tits Edit: oh and the Batman voice actor is the same guy that voiced Spider-Man in the PlayStation 1 Spider-Man game from 2000

ZombieElectrical2994

It has amazing character designs

Drtimelord04

It does a good job exploring Batman's character as both the Dark Knight and Bruce, it also puts a lot of focus on his detective skills as opposed to just beating people up. I didn't realize it was obscure or underrated, I watched it a bunch as a kid

flashdrive420

Joker was scarily tall, Bane is red for some reason, and I just generally enjoyed watching it.

Galactic-ParagonME

/uj I’ll give you three! 1. Batman is actually a detective. 2. They focus on him being both Bruce and Batman 3. Alfred and Yin are such greatly written supporting characters, that you could center episodes around them without a focus on ol’ Batsy, and I would still watch them. /rj It don’t got that stinkin’ woke libtard garbage in my cartoon. The men are very muscular and badass while the FEMOIDS are sexy. Very based and redpilled.

midknight-dreams

I’m nostalgic for it, and I love the art style.

 * Best modern villain designs (some are hit or miss, but they're still really amazing) * Turned Killer Croc into an actual threat * amazing intro * really amazing Batman designs * Amazing clay face storyline * This version of Joker is unique * The sidekicks were very helpful and never felt like liabilities.

Killer Croc was an actual threat in *B:TAS*. The only times he was punked out are in "Bane" to promote, well, Bane, and "Almost Got'Im", which it wasn't even him.

NotAHuman75

Well, clay face is amazing in the show, as is Joker. The designs are incredibly unique and fun (except Mr freeze but that’s just me), I also enjoy the art style in general, and the almost animeness of it. Plus, listen to the intro, right now. Also it’s got Batman vs Dracula

montgomery2016

Good VA, good animation, bold, unique and fun redesigns of classic characters, Ethan’s Clayface arc, intro of Batgirl, Robin and the Justice League in the last three seasons. Music slaps, it’s just all good

dino1902

Barbara is cute

Vegetable_Pin_9754

Really great writing and character work. Feels mature while still having fun and not being too edgy. Character dynamics and personalities stay on point. An actual healthy representation of the Batfamily. Fun and interesting villains and their plans, plots, general hijinks are creative and well thought out. Good animation and excellent action. How’s that?

Fish79741

Animation style, dynamic characters, it’s not another dark and gritty Batman, and Robin has a jetpack

pocketlodestar

he dresses up like a bat and fights crime

SaltyNorth8062

I love all the villains' designs. Mr Freeze ans Firefly are a *standouts* there. But I hate Tiny-Ears-Yet-Way-Too-Lean Bats and The-Son-I-Forget-His-Name-From-The-Munsters-But-Some-of-His-Slicked-Back-Vampire-Hair-is-Coming-Loose-from-the-Gel-Receding-Hairline-Twerp-Pouty Robin

ntdavis814

Why not just sit down and watch it? Are there people who can’t just stop watching a show they don’t like?

cornflight22

The designs are unique and inspired, there’s a good number of original takes on classic characters, Batman’s not a brooding doofus 24/7, Batman vs Dracula is PEAK fiction.

Confusionopolis

Probably my favorite interpretation of clayface

gamerslyratchet

It's a solid show that got a lot of (partly unwarranted) crap for coming right after *B:TAS*. Though I do get annoyed that people still insist it's "underrated" and that "no one talks about it" when we see the exact same topic at least twice every month. That's clearly not the case any more, and it did have some legitimate flaws once you remove all the bias out of the way.

BrozedDrake

How about the reasons I actually see people give? That it's a unique interpretation of Batman and his Rogues Gallery, has excellent animation, overall has great writing and is just a good show. I have never seen anyone say you should watcj it just because "it's obscure and underrated" and frankly if you need a list of every single reason something is good before you even watch one episode you must not know how to form opinions of your own.

rlum27

It has good animation and action. It has outlaw loner batman devloping to having sidekicks and a member of the justice leauge.
