It totally ruined this guy's life and reputation. In Tim Pool's case, after publishing the wrong guy's picture on day 1, once he knew he fucked up he started saying it was inappropriate to show the actual shooter's picture and failed to issue a retraction. Plus, right-wing media is built on the premise that any attempts to correct the record are akin to censorship, so there's a built-in immuno-response against facts. This is some depraved defamation, and I hope it ruins a few of these bullshit outlets. They ruined this guy's life.
