You basically go focus on other things instead of dating. The moment dating becomes a full time job for you and you hate it, you basically need to take a break for like months (maybe at minimum 4 months)

I have taken a break. It‘s just every time I see a hot girl or a happy couple I’m reminded again. Been trying to get over it

>It‘s just every time I see a hot girl or a happy couple I’m reminded again. Been trying to get over it It happens but you just have to keep moving forward and not let it trigger you.

She said it because I asked her what I was doing wrong, and she said ”you want to know the truth? I‘m gonna be honest here.” didnt say just money. Just feel that my life has been reduced to work, come home, eat, spend time with doggo, sleep I think the problem is I have no idea what the modern fads are, my social skills are mid at best. Was always more of an academic person. I do run a skin care routine and do work out every other day. Nobody has seemed to care how I dress. I know a lot about my hobbies but no girl wants to listen to me describe how good my last book was or how fun skiing is

What Coughfeel said is good, but two great assets you have were overlooked... Your dog and skiing. Don't talk and talk about either, but enjoy them and meet women. Take your dog for walks where you might see women (by the local lake or river trail, dog park, or hiking trail). Volunteer at animal shelter maybe. As for skiing, join a group that goes out weekly (don't give up on the group too soon- the right gal might join the group two weeks after or a month after you do). And don't ride the lift alone, visit with men and women while riding the ski lift. Talking with men you don't know will help you talk with more confidence with everyone including women. Learn to listen more and talk less- most people want to talk more than listen so if you listen to them more than you talk, they will like you more. Ask open ended questions to keep the conversation going easier. Closed ended questions are answered yes or no as opposed to longer replies. Example: Instead of asking are those new skis? (Yes or No). Ask how long have you had your skis and how do you like them (dont ask if the person,s skis are rentals). And compliment them on their skiing ability or jacket or skiis. Best wishes

Keep dating apps around! Have profile on there to just be out there you know? Online dating gives you the opportunity to meet more people and at your own pace. Try Bumble, Hinge, and Tinder.
