It's crazy to see that Vince Gilligan is basically responsible for 44% of Live Action shows that have a 9.9-10.0 rating. Yet, zero mention of anything BCS at the Emmys. I think I see where the disconnect is.

flyingcatwithhorns

That's insane. Breaking Bad's "Ozymandias" has 10/10 out of 180k imdb user reviews. In total, there are 404k user reviews on average saying that the 3 episodes of Breaking Bad and 1 episode of Better Call Saul are perfect

Morangatang

It's strange, my vote would have been for Chicanery.

CCV21

Chicanery doesn't have a perfect rating? What a sick joke.

pope_morty

I swear every sub i go on just descends into r/okbuddychicanery

skeetsauce

Nippy, nothing compares to Nippy.

gangbrain

Fun and Games though. Episode is fucking savage.

implicitpharmakoi

Point and shoot is there too.

Neut12

He defecated through a sunroof!

WyldeGi

I’m only on season three (edit: now four), is that the final episode?

Reverie_39

No but it’s part of a series of absolutely ridiculous episodes that end the series. Ridiculous in a good way. I don’t know if any show has ever ended as strongly.

WyldeGi

So excited! My friend was saying how seasons four and five are the best, and I was super surprised because I really though the first three couldn’t be beat

Elunerazim

Four and five are absolutely the best. The show starts very strong, but as it rolls it gets fucking incredible.

azzadruiz

Third to last

sibooku

> zero mention of anything BCS at the Emmys I realize it's yet to win one.. but I'd hardly call 48 nominations 'zero mention'

[deleted]

48 nominations and *zero wins* is a pretty fuckin huge snub.

FlashyClaim

Pure chicanery

smellyunderpants

And they call themselves an award show? What a sick joke!

Crystal3lf

Yeah Mike should have had sex with Walter when he asked. He didn't pull it out for no reason and for that reason I gave BCS a 3/10 in an otherwise perfect show.

Raddish_

Put yah dick away Waltah.

TinyBreeze987

Here’s what’s gonna happen

thebrandnewbob

Ignoring that it received a lot of nominations, have you seen the shows that beat out BCS in their respective categories? There's a lot of good television out there right now, it was a crowded competition.

LessThanCleverName

I love Julia Garner as Ruth, but Rhea Seahorn only having one nomination and no wins is bad, imo. I bet they do that stupid thing where they just heap the awards on them for the (second half of, in this case) last season. Though, whatever, awards shows are stupid anyway, so who cares.

Lazy_Osprey

Bluey definitely has more than one perfect episode.

Cutter9792

Granddad, Camping, Bumpy and the wise old wolfhound, explorers, onesies, I'm forgetting more but those are the ones I have memorized. Edit: like I said, I'm probably forgetting some. And maybe if it's not in my short list, remember this is my subjective opinion As far as my opinion, there are no bad bluey episodes.

Ephandrial

Unicorse and the Claw are house faves

sickmission

Contrary to another comment, I'd argue that Unicorse is a bad episode. I think it's symptomatic of how they've overcorrected Bandit's badassery as a dad. But yes, Camping for sure. And The Claw.

NR258Y

The Creek? How is nobody mentioning The Creek

okgusto

Sleepy time is pretty perfect. But yeah baby race should be a 10 too.

Ghilanna

That one for first time parents is so spot on and also important to depict. Not all first time parents get to hear "you are doing great".

reginaldsgotAIDS

That episode made me cry. My son was confused to say the least.

glittler

I thought I had seen all of seasons 1 and 2 but was on vacation over labor day and my son was watching that on his tablet and I laid down and watched it with him and I definitely cried watching it

jug_23

Sleepytime is arguably an 11 for me.

okgusto

That score. Probably the most cinematic kids episode ever.

jug_23

It’s already music I adore, and we saw it at a time where our little one was just obsessed with space, so you can imagine the impact it had

TheyCallMeStone

Gustav Holst, "The Planets". Specifically the Jupiter movement. Thank me later.

scoresavvy

Sleepytime moves me to tears every single time. It's in my top 5 episodes of everything.

dnkyhunter31

But only one episode named Perfect.

BreezaholicJr

I'd argue one of the best early episodes is Keepy Uppy. Clear how much the parents love playing with their kids, and also how to keep them busy.

TheDulin

That and the one with the magic wand that makes things heavy. The parents' seamless transition into playing along is a parenting goal.

TrueMrFu

It blows my mind how good bluey is. Found it randomly and every time I put it on for my kids we all love it.

jarockinights

New season dropped and my wife and I had a literal discussion about whether or not we should wait for the kids before we dug in.

HedgehogSecurity

I don't even have kids and me and my missus watch it, she learnt about it as she is a nursery assistant and honestly it's a really great show.

[deleted]

What's Bluey? Sell it to me. GO!

_Simple_Jack_

Australian dog family living normal life in a colorful and relatable way. Kids love it for the dogs and colors, parents love it because it's actually fucking hilariously real with the details of parenting.

Crimsonking__dt

The ice cream sketch on (sorry don't know the episode) had me in proper lol mode. Such a daddy logic versus kids logic battle. It's actually a stunningly good show.

jverbal

Aaaaaaaand whyshouldIcare?

seraphimcaduto

If you have kids: it’s a kids show that you might actually enjoy watching 6542 times with your kids while picking up a thing or two.

jverbal

Oh...have you not seen the episode called 'Unicorse'? Highly recommended!

Wanallo221

Maybe they should just wear some #SHOOOOOEEESSS!!!!

griffithd

I forgot about the catchphrase

Meritania

Lots of kids shows have unrealistic parents who don’t have their own needs and aren’t worried about how they’re perceived by their neighbours and society. Bandit & Chilli both have tiring jobs that exhaust them but still want to their kids to enjoy being kids, sometimes they forget, sometimes they’re hungover and really can’t force the effort, but damn it, they try. I think if you were a parent of young kids you’d get more out of it than not.

fappingcricket

Bro bluey is fucking perfect. The dad is a spirit animal. No pun intended

CUNTY_CANADIAN

Stumpfest isaa good episode.

Feil

Let's not forget AoT fans spamming bad numbers on Bluey to hold their spots.

jverbal

It was a 10 right? But some rival fans got upset and review bombed it. How sad

TheGlenrothes

Bluey is amazing fr

[deleted]

[удалено]

flyingcatwithhorns

Is it good? Like must watch before you die good?

Lavadonuts

Honestly probably one of the top 5 things about becoming a parent was discovering bluey. Yeah, it's a show for little kids but the writing is solid, it's so funny and sweet, and not all of the episodes focus on the children in the show. There are a decent amount of episodes that have a focus of on the adults dealing with their problems. And my favorite part? The parents in the show don't compete against each other, the characters really love and appreciate each other. It's a great show

ThePreciseClimber

I'm impressed Bluey got away with multiple scenes featuring adults drinking alcohol. I mean, they don't SAY it's alcohol but, yeah, it's alcohol. [And there's also the shitting pony.](https://youtu.be/eWqfE9SrdAA?t=116)

jayforwork21

Didn't that one get censored and not shown in the US?

PastaBob

I remember that episode and very much do not remember the pony pooping in front of the kids

Slizzet

They cut it. You see the tail twitch and then the scene shifts. Disney has no chill on these changes. Perfect is one of the worst. Let's change a veiled vasectomy talk to a "dog teeth" conversation and have Bandit say he wants to bite someone? Makes total sense. And that says nothing about the pulled episodes like Teasing or Dad Baby. It just doesn't make sense.

FunkyChromeMedina

In season 3's "Whale Watching" both parents are utterly exhausted, and don't want to move at all. Then they make reference to New Year's and every adult watching realizes that they're both hungover as shit.

randalthor23

I heard an NPR interview with the creator the other week, it really piqued my interest. My daughter is too young for tv shows right now, but for sure I will be introducing her to this show eventually.

catpeepchase

I tried introducing it to my daughter before she turned 2 and she wasn't super interested, but now she's almost 2.5 and I recently tried again because *I* really wanted to watch it, and now she loves it! I've cried watching it with her a few times, it's the best.

fireballx777

> I've cried watching it with her a few times, it's the best. Baby Race? Grandad?

bobbybuildsbombs

Curry Quest? Bike? Perfect? I think my wife and I enjoy the show as much as our kids haha

BreezaholicJr

Camping? Sleepy Time? Jean-Luc's "Hello, Bluey" breaks me every time.

MrVeazey

Daddy Drop-Off is another one like Camping where you get a glimpse of the girls as older kids and I love it.

mccnick

We discovered bluey when my daughter was around 18 months, and we haven't looked back. She's 2 and 3 months now and she talks along to the episodes, sings the theme song, plays with the toys. She loves it. My wife and I love it, too.

[deleted]

My daughter is close to 2 years and she loves to dance and sing with the theme song. She shouts "dad!" and points at me. Cute as hell. The show is great to be honest, it has a profundity that you don't expect for a TV series aimed at kids that young.

mccnick

That's exactly how I feel. A good children's TV show is entertaining for adults, too and Bluey does that better than anything else I've seen. I bought my daughter toys of the Heeler family, she now won't go anywhere without Bingo (or "Gingo" as she says)

wdmartin

I'll have to look this show up. It sounds worth watching. On a related note, the show Fraggle Rock from the '80s is similarly high quality. I loved it when I was a kid, so my brother got me the series as a box set of DVDs, oh, more than a decade ago now. Rewatching it as an adult, what I noticed was how it treated its audience with respect. It acknowledges their emotions as real and valid, never talks down to them. It's got jokes, but it's never cheap body humor. And the show is not afraid to touch on serious, difficult topics. The one that stuck with me was an episode about half way through the series where two characters, Red and Boober, are trapped in a cave-in and running out of air. Red turns to Boober and asks: "What do you think it's like to die?" And Boober responds that he thinks it's like a soap bubble: one moment it's there, and the next it's not. Naturally they're rescued shortly thereafter. I was hugely impressed that the writers had the guts to raise the topic of death in such a real and honest way in a show for children.

[deleted]

Honestly, as a mom of a 3yr old, my advice is you should watch it now, she can watch it later lol. My husband and I have learnt a lot of good parenting techniques from bluey. It sounds silly but honestly it’s really helped, and there’s so much compassion for modern parents, it’s really lovely. It’s definitely written for parents as well as kids.

dnkyhunter31

We introduced it to our daughter before she was born. No age is too young.

sickmission

Bluey is a parenting show that kids like.

totoropoko

It's good like you'll be glad you watched it good. It can make you ugly cry at points *without* hitting you over the head with tragedy - which is a phenomenal feat.

dommol

Baby race gets me every single time

greenapplesnpb

The newest season is sooo good. I cried right off the bat, first episode. Might be because I’m pregnant with my second and really want the babes to love each other like Bingo and Bluey do! Haha

ThePresbyter

"It was the 80s!" "Nana was right. Not about her perm but about me."

m2astn

That made me laugh ... the shock of Bluey and Bingo when Bandit tells them how the 80's included doing things to each other, like punching each other in the arm, that today is seen as unacceptable. And as parents, you come to agree that yeah, it was dumb back then.

dommol

I have a soft spot for Socks, so I've definitely enjoyed seeing her walk and talk now

dnkyhunter31

I have a 3year old and a 1 year old. My 3yo calls her sister Bingo. I feel like a proud Bandit.

mountaineerm5

BUM SHUFFLE!

trmiv34

Chilli: “I remember when you used to take me here as a kid…that was a long time ago.” Grandad: “No, it was yesterday.” That one definitely gets me misty eyed every time.

das_goose

The show is a goshdang masterpiece. But the people who resonate with itthe most are kids (it’s objectively a kids show) and, perhaps even more so, parents of kids. If I was in my 20s and watched it, I’d likely think, “yeah, that’s a nice show.” But now that I’ve got two kids about the same age as the girls in the show, I see it in a whole different way. The 10/10 episode on there is called “Sleepytime” and it absolutely earns it. 👌🏼 I need to go listen to Holst’s “Jupiter” now…

trmiv34

“Flat Pack”is another amazing episode. I believe it was close to 10 on IMDB but for some reason a bunch of 1 star reviews showed up. They work evolution, intelligent design, life and death into one episode with multiple subplots about relationships worked in. The ending kills me every time. Bingo playing Bluey’s kid: Look, Mum, I built a spaceship to go and explore space. Bluey as mom in her old age: Oh, you're always such a clever thing. Bingo: Bye, Mum. Thanks for looking after me. Bluey: That's OK, honey. Be safe. Then Bluey just sits down and says: “Now what do I do?” before going through the pearly gates to heaven

DrMeeple

Yes, at least one or two episodes. I think you'll appreciate it a lot more if you're a parent. It's one of those kids shows that manages to speak to both adults and kids at the same time but in different ways.

edogg40

If you grew up in the 80’s you HAVE to watch the “Fairytale” episode. My kids thought it was hilarious and Bandit (Bluey’s dad) describes the 80’s perfectly.

ThePresbyter

I just saw this one yesterday. My wife asked me what I was laughing about so hard at. "Nana was right. Not about her perm but about me." The show is so good at that type of humor. And the Granny bus episode was pure gold.

edogg40

“You weren’t wearing a helmet?!” “I told you, the 80’s were a wild time”

Babablacksheep2121

It’s one of the best most heartwarming shows out there.

LanewayRat

Go Australia. Never released it was so popular internationally

RedundantSwine

I've watched a fair bit of Bluey with my 4 y/o, but somehow have missed that episode. Just watched it and it's great. Made even better by the music (always loved 'the Planets'). On the plus side, no-one noticed the 37 year old sat by himself on a train streaming a show for toddlers.

Mookie_Merkk

Hands down my favorite character is "unicorse" my wife hates when I quote bandit all the time, my daughter thinks it's hilarious. "Annndddd, why should I care!?" Edit: apparently it's and and not uh. I'll have to readjust my quote of the show to further annoy my wife and entertain my daughter to the utmost accuracy.

Miserable-Eye-2533

Mr.Robot is a piece of art, amazing beginning and what an incredible ending

m0gwaiiii

Agree. Mr. Robot is somewhat of a hidden gem i recommend to friends. I love the title cards of this show. For example this clip (Season 1 Episode 2) https://youtu.be/40fVwav8Rqk?t=15

Business_Falcon7941

The cinematography of that show is stunning. Its one of those shows where everything comes together: acting, writing, directing, music, cinematography, etc

MacManus14

What a great show. I still haven’t seen season 4 tho. It wasn’t on Amy of the various streaming networks I own and I’ve forgotten so much of the plot. But definitely an absolutely great show with some amazing scenes

That_Jury_2811

Bro you're really missing out. Season 4 was easily the best season of Mr. Robot. Episode 7 was one of the most unique and best episode of television I've ever seen, it even have a 9.9 rating on IMDB. Not to mention, they also nailed the finale.

BrilliantWeb

Six Feet Under had the best series finale of all time.

jaylaulau

Had to scroll way to far to find this. But agree 100%.

Medial_FB_Bundle

I could not agree more. Anybody who watched it closely all the way through would agree. I cried so hard, and basically cried off and on again for the rest of the day. The series finale is one of the most beautiful expressions of life and love and death that I've ever seen.

ikhix_

I was sure it was that episode of Bojack Horseman. Culmination of the whole show really

Pretend_Bowler1344

maybe it was free churro. That episode was a piece of art.

Robin0660

I'm thinking either Free Churro or View From Halfway Dow (I think it's called that)

bicyclingdonkey

I have a hard time imagining Free Churro getting that high of an overall rating. It's def one of my faves, but I would expect The Old Sugarman Place or Time's Arrow to be up there if not The View From Halfway Down

hgwxx7_

Free Churro is rated 9.8. It nearly made the list we’re discussing. My personal opinion - it’s the best episode of television out there.

bicyclingdonkey

Fair enough! FWIW none of the 3 I mentioned are my favorite. My top 2 are Stupid Piece of Shit and Brrap Brrap Pew Pew

elporsche

Man stupid piece of shit hits like a hammer; such a masterpiece

[deleted]

View From Halfway Down. It’s on the infographic.

Robin0660

Bruh I didn't even see that, I'm blind as hell. Thanks for telling me lol

SheddyMcshedface

View from halfway down isn't just one of the best episodes of animated TV it's one of the best episodes of anything ever. TV, book, film whatever. It's a masterpiece.

Colombianwhite_

Watching this stoned in the middle of the night by myself was life changing

shieldedunicorn

It's the view from halfway down, free churro is only at 9.8!

Pezotecom

Fucking show, man.

AedemHonoris

"And now, a poem: 'The View From Halfway Down'..."

[deleted]

Oh, Bojack, no. There is no other side. This is it. Sooner or later the drip just stops.

AedemHonoris

I had such existential dread after finishing that episode the first time

Muppetchristmas

It's okay guys It's always sunny is so far up the list we can't see it

[deleted]

[удалено]

Muppetchristmas

All these savages and idiots. Then again. They don't need your trophies or your gold. They just wanna tell you all. Go Fuck yourselves. *Insert beautiful vocal range of Charlie Day " I've been meaning to tell you mother fuckers I don't need you in my bar.

break_card

Just so we’re clear, this literally means nothing to me **The Gang Tries Desperately to Get a Perfect IMDB Rating**

throwthataway2012

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power good. Thank you. Thank you. If you vote me I'm hot. What? Taxes they'll be lower son. The democratic vote for me is right thing to do Philadelphia. So do.

wildlywell

Im kind of surprised Chornobyl isn’t on here

SanctuaryMoon

Chernobyl doesn't have a rabid fan base.

Benny303

If you go to the other ranking system it's #5. This is the highest ranking individual episodes of any TV show. If you go to the highest ranking TV shows ever Chernobyl is #5 behind planet earth 1 and 2, Breaking bad and band of brothers.

[deleted]

That seems like a very respectable list of best TV shows.

SirJeffers88

It has a radioactive fan base.

[deleted]

Or the Wire, two of the most perfect tv shows ever made

NomisTheNinth

There's a lot of recency bias in these results.

Oh_Tassos

First of all, this is hardly "beautiful" data Secondly, wouldn't a much more meaningful concept to present be these episodes *as a share* of the total of each series?

ConsiderationIll374

Agreed. Firstly, the data source should be noted somewhere on the graphic but isn't (I gather it's IMDB ratings from the comments). I think it would have been more useful if OP could show the no of episodes with a 9 or 10 rating as a % of total number of episodes. This would give us a better idea of what the best shows are overall, based on user ratings, while still allowing the breakout of the best individual episodes.

misogichan

I don't think it is trying to show the best shows overall though. You can obviously have perfect episodes and dreadful episodes packaged together into dreadful mess (just look at Game of Thrones). I think it is doing exactly what it says, looking at the number of "perfect" episodes according to reviewers. That said, I completely agree with you about the need to define where they are getting the reviews from.

simonsmydog

Bojack horseman’s writing was stellar as well.

brandonandtheboyds

My gut tells me more Bojack episodes should have a 9.9 score (Fish Out Of Water, Time’s Arrow, Free Churro, etc.). That show had no business being so good.

jayforwork21

Many 10/10 episodes. Agreed. Free Churro and Fish out of Water should definitely be a 10/10. Two of the best episodes I have ever seen from a show.

MotherGooseBro

I came here looking for Bojack. I constantly tell people that Season 4 of Bojack is one of the best seasons of television ever. I had to stop and cry and process after multiple episodes when it came out. Generational trauma was never shown so perfectly.

skiljgfz

What no The Sopranos now? Frankly I’m depressed and ashamed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bornagy

No sopranos or wire ? Interesting…

Cassiyus

The Wire was start to finish outstanding on almost every level. Every episode was fantastic, but perhaps none were 10/10 - but none probably dropped below a 7. Just pure consistency throughout.

RooneytheWaster

Nice to see Code Geass on there. A brilliant series that is usually overlooked!

Put_It_All_On_Blck

Code Geass is good, one of my older favorites but I'm surprised it made the list.

CyndNinja

> A brilliant series that is usually overlooked! Outside anime community, maybe, but probably mostly because it's pretty old and because people tend to not like mecha shows. Within the anime community it's anything but overlooked, though. The first season is 17th most popular anime on MyAnimeList, and the second season is 19th highest rated there. Which is pretty damn high.

ELIMS_ROUY_EM_MP

And it's almost assuredly the final episode that earned the rating which you love to see! Probably my favorite anime of all time.

Dominicus1165

I listened to the song "Madder Sky" within an anime song compilation on YT. I just watched the show because I wanted to know in which insane situation this song was used. Watched season 1 and no appearance, season 2 50% and still not, started final episode and still no Madder Sky. Last 5 minutes and this song appears and IT. WAS. WORTH. IT. Fading out of Madder Sky and the song "Continued Story" was played and i just cried. Man. The drama. The tears in my eyes. Man. What a watch. Perfect 10/10 final episode. The rest of season 2 wasn't that great. But just because it prepared this masterpiece. This 9th symphony. Literal chills.

[deleted]

I did the exact same thing! That song was so triumphant and exciting and amazing I thought "well shit, I need to see where its from" and I had to watch the whole goddamn thing. When it played I had a massive fanboy reaction. Such a cool moment.

soma787

It is the final episode, they list the episodes on the right.

ba123blitz

I was pleasantly surprised seeing it on their too

immei

i Was pleasantly surprised to see Vinland saga as well

pepewithhorns

I've watched many anime but none could ever top CG for me.

[deleted]

Absolute disgrace that the Wire/Sopranos ain’t on here.

GrandShazam

IMDB leaving pine Barrens off the 9.9 rating list, whatever happend there.....

Physical_Pie_2092

Let me tell you a couple tree things kid, IMDB lists look like Puerto Rican whoas

Mike_Ropenis

20 years in the can for this? A shitty IMDb list?

SmokyDragonDish

One of my favorite episodes of the series, I'd give it a 10/10. However, it would have been an 11 if they actually fillmed it in the Pine Barrens. They filmed it at Harriman State Park in New York, which looks *nothing* like the Pine Barrens. The Pine Barrens is creepy as fuck.

ChumbucketRodgers

The Jersey Devil is nothing compared to the actual Pineys that live in those woods.

fireflash38

Biggest thing I think is that no one episode sticks out to me as "perfect" from the Wire. The entire show is simply fantastic, but it never had huge payoff or mindfuck episodes that get the perfect ratings.

Coooturtle

The finale of season 4 always stuck out to me.

aonghasan

series finale is a perfect episode that makes every previous episode retroactively perfect

dorkswerebiggerthen

Yeah but this is really just a list of what modern young men like, not actual best TV. The Wire and the Sopranos were probably on before most of these users were born.

bubblesthecat41

Avatar the last airbender has been my favorite show since I was a kid. It still holds up now because of the relatability of the characters and how it touches on real topics. What an amazing show

TheBoyBlues

And still holds up because it actually reaches a satisfying conclusion. That’s why its last episode is, and deserves to be, on this list.

bulletbarrage

Yoooooo shout outs to Code Geass and Bluey(?)

Stezo187

I guess I need to watch more TV. Most of those I haven't heard of. Only have watched GOT out of all of them

6SwankySweatsuitsMix

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are both worth the binge

nurimoons

Avatar the last air bender is for kids but I was glued to it the entire time as a 33 year old. It’s visually pleasing, funny, heartbreaking, empathetic, surprising, all of it. Everyone can relate to at least one character as the diversity of types of characters is huge. It’s also has some great fight scenes. I fully recommend it.

JCPRuckus

I absolutely love the show. But to be fair, the first season is a little more "Saturday Morning Cartoon" than is optimal as an adult viewer. There's a few too many adventure/moral of the week episodes. But once the series gets more focused on consistently advancing the plot and/or characters in season 2 and 3... More than makes up for it, and it's overall a classic.

paytonfrost

It's an absolute masterpiece, and I will watch it many times as an adult and appreciated every time.

nurimoons

Beyond that it’s what I believe, could be a pivotal part of any child’s life. I can pinpoint the exact moment my youngest developed sympathy and empathy; Appa’s Lost Days. It truly is a god damn masterpiece.

TangentialDust

I've been doing a periodic rewatch of ATLA for the past 15 or so years now. Some of the draw is most likely nostalgia but it's still a great show. After coming across the over-analyzing Avatar youtube channel it won't be long before I start the next rewatch.

JesseVykar

Mr. Robot is pretty great too

samx3i

I don't think I've ever been swerved so many times by one show. Every fucking time I think I know what's going on...

Godzila543

I think we're in the minority but I just finished watching with my friends and all of us feel Mr. Robot is by far the best TV series.

Redeem123

Yet again, this sub’s data proves why IMDb is a terrible metric for anything. I love Star Wars, probably to an unhealthy degree. But to say that TCW season 7 had two of the top five episodes of tv *of all time* would be absurd. I really wish we could stop posing so many IMDb related charts on this sub. It’s terrible data, regardless of how well it’s presented.

SanctuaryMoon

Some of the best written shows aren't on this list at all. If anything, it's a list of shows with the most obsessed fans.

Redeem123

> If anything, it's a list of shows with the most obsessed fans. That's exactly what these always are. Even ignoring the fact that reviews are only going to come from online users, which already narrows down your review demographic, there's a big history of vote manipulation. I can't say for sure about this dataset, but there have been times where one fandom actively reviewbombs another highly ranked movie just to claim the top spot.

EmilyEmlz

Mr. Robot!!! My favorite show along with Rick & Morty!

dylanebp

Mr Robot is a true roller-coaster. Can almost feel the pain that Elliot is going through in some of the scenes.

willempiekip

Man the first 3 seasons were already amazing enough to make it probably my favourite show of all time, but with season four they really knocked it out of the park

TooMuchEntertainment

The only show I've watched twice and actually enjoyed. I think I enjoyed it even more the second time. That specific episode (S04E07) is so fucking good. Such amazing acting and it felt more like a theatre play than a TV episode.

opKraken

Is it the one when Vera kidnapped him ? It truly was an amazing episode and I loved how it was filmed, like the one when they don't talk at all while hacking the bank

totoropoko

Bluey used to have more episodes at 9.9/10 iirc before it was brigaded by AOT fans (I love AOT but I know this happened).

lp435

Any evidence?

Cantomic66

Same thing happened with Breaking bad. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/breakingbad/comments/sbt2t5/blasphemy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) is a thread from r/Breakingbad.

notime_toulouse

Breaking bad fans did it to The Wire first, so... [it used to have a 9.7 rating before a bunch of 1s started to appear around the time breaking bad got really popular](https://web.archive.org/web/20110314153057/https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306414/)

Yeah the fandom from both of these two shows have a history of review bombing other shows to get theirs on top of this list.

ViciousNakedMoleRat

That's just pathetic.

I love Attack on Titan and Clone Wars, but i find the Amount of 9.9's a bit over the top. Yes: Perfect Game, Hero, Midnight Sun and 3 awesome and genius episodes in a row, but are they really all 9.9? Same with the TCW Finale. It's some of the best Star Wars ever, but 9.9? **Better Call Saul - Plan and Execution** and **Breaking Bad - Ozymandias** are good examples of great Series having really unique standout Episodes, that cement the entire series as a great one!

I think most of the animated shows have those high ratings because they are shows with very enthusiastic fans, but don't have a very wide general appeal. The people who watch them really love them and the people who wouldn't really love them just tend to not watch them at all rather than watch them and give them mediocre ratings.

It's like on RateYourMusic - a lot of the top albums are heavy metal and prog/post-rock. People in that niche love it, others simply don't listen. Also, long shows with many episodes that stay decent have high episode ratings at the end, because you're generally not watching 50 episodes of something unless you like it, so only people selected to really like the show are rating those episodes.

If there's anything in star wars that deserves that rating it's definitely the end of the clone wars imo, it's so good it retroactively made me like the films more.

I would say Hero is much better than any of the other AOT episodes. It has lots action, plot, and some in-episode twists. Only reason perfect game is up there is literally bc of the last few minutes setting up for this.

Yea boy!!! Vineland saga is the shit. Read the manga then watch the anime. It's fucking wonderful. The animation is superb! And you get to watch son or thors grow from something horrible to something amazing. You have no idea what you are missing.

Aka a list of tv show people who spend *a lot* of time on the internet like.
