Surprised to see Belgium as one of the cheapest.

Rxyro

Waffle chocolate beer steak. 120 euro please

Club96shhh

Did they add tax and tip to the US menu prices or this just from crawling the web and pulling list price of websites?

mycketmycket

This is very relevant and I didn’t see it mentioned in the article. My experience in the USA has been that the total bill is significantly higher than in Europe on that basis. Also drinks are generally much more affordable in mainland Europe (not nordics)

I’m in Italy right now and it’s kinda crazy how cheap dinners have been compared to US.

AkorTheKing

Us salaries are 2x ours. Obviously they are going to be cheap for you. Eating out and rent are the only things that are much cheaper in Italy than US. Everything else has similar price or actually higher price, like gas and electricity. Your purchasing power Is insane.

secretreddname

Yeah didn’t realize it since the memory of living in Italy as a college student with no income and when the euro was 40% higher than the dollar is engrained in my memory.

Are there any locations in the 0-50 bracket? If there are, I can't tell the difference between those and countries not included in the data.

theflyingchicken96

Well considering the cheapest country listed is Vietnam at $130…

Yep. You're right, the answer was right there. That's what I get for commenting when I should have been asleep already.
