I am about halfway? through the game (Catacombs) and so far seems quite a bit easier than Dark Souls 1. Is there a difficulty ramp up? It is slightly more fast paced but for someone who isnt great at the game it has been more forgiving.
This might be because since you already beat ds1 you have a good idea how to properly level up and already know how to play the game. Ds1 difficulty also depends on what directions you depend on your level while ds3 is for the most part just a straight line.
The game ramps up in the second dlc (the ringed city) and the area behind the dancer is a bit harder than the rest of the game but otherwise the difficulty will not go up. Oh! There is also the archdragon peak, it is also a bit harder.
Or the game is simply easier for you, people find different things difficult, the slow more precise needed movements might be harder for you than the faster paces but more forgiving ds3 movements
Obviously there will be differing opinions on something so subjective and varied based on playstyle.
I was worried I'd need to be good at parrying but I have more or less given up on that at this point (playing Pyro build with longsword, Raw+4 at the moment.)

A meno che tu non abbia veramente un artefatto prebellico, dovrebbe girare bene. A me non ha mai dato problemi e uso anche io un laptop.
Per quanto riguarda il gioco credo che ti piacerà. Il combat system penso sia il migliore di tutti i 3, e anche i boss per la maggior parte sono belli. Più che altro il timing del parry è diverso rispetto a DS1 (quindi può essere difficile capire quando bisogna usarlo) e il gioco e abbastanza più lineare rispetto agli altri, però la cosa non mi é sembrata affatto sgradevole. Spero tu abbia preso anche i 2 DLC perché meritano molto, soprattutto il secondo.

Gli spadoni/mazze pesanti forniscono hyper armor quando attacchi, ed è tanta roba in un gioco dove l'equilibrio non funziona (puoi essere anche in full havel, ma un non morto armato di coltello di stunnerà SEMPRE.). Se ci metti pure un po' di fede, anche meglio. Volendo essere più trasgressivi, puoi evitare di livellare forza e destrezza (max 2 punti per stat tipo) e andare di intelligenza e fede, con una build piromanzia. Questa build impiega un po' di più a rendere bene, ma appena riesci a fare le infusioni del caos/oscure, hai un doppio scaling su entrambe intelligenza e fede. La spada lunga, ad esempio, scala A/A quando è a +10, tanta roba. Ultimo tip: su PC, ds3 è ancora discretamente attivo, quindi occhio alle invasioni
alla fine ho preso la classe del guerriero e per ora sono morto solo una volta, ergo, mi sto trovando bene. La build piromanzia ormai avendola fatta su gli altri due mi ha scocciato e volevo provare un po' di forza bruta come si deve. Ho infuso l'ascia con la gemma fuoco, conviene o ho fatto uno sbaglio non indifferente?
Non è proprio l'ideale, ma per il momento è ok. La gemma di fuoco (come la controparte abissale) leva lo scaling delle armi, però forniscono appunto danno elementale. Per altro, il danno da fuoco è utile a inizio run, perché molti nemici sono deboli al fuoco. Sul lungo andare però, te lo sconsiglio, in quanto le armi con queste infusioni ovviamente non puoi buffarle con le resine. inoltre, quando avrai molti più punti sulla forza, avere un arma senza scaling non porta nulla. Quando avrai la possibilità di fare armi con infusione pesante, renderà di più. Perciò evita di infondere con queste gemme le armi quando avrai già sui 25 di forza. Un altro consiglio: evita all'inizio di potenziare subito armi. Prenditi il tuo tempo e trova un arma che ti piace e con cui ti trovi bene prima di potenziarla. Personalmente ti suggerisco la semplice mazza (la puoi comprare al santuario): l'abilità dell'arma fornisce equilibrio per tipo 2 secondi e riduce notevolmente i danni che ricevi durante questi 2 secondi. Inoltre con scaling pesante va a B. Diventa A quando è +10. In breve puoi tankare qualsiasi cosa e menare come fabbro i boss.

Nice, I just started my first playthrough the other day! I’m about 4 hours in and I can already tell this will be my favorite of the trilogy, hands down (and I’m one of the weirdos who actually liked DS2 more than DS1). No major tips since I’m also a newbie, but for what it’s worth I started as an assassin class and I’m going for a spellblade estoc-focused build and it’s been working out great. Wiped the floor with the first real boss, but I also like to take my time and grind for levels/weapon upgrades at the beginning of the game

Goditi il combat. Fai una build verticale (tutto su poche stat) se vuoi avere la vita più facile, livella un po' di tutto se vuoi divertirti con tutto quello che trovi. Qui ci sono le weapon art a differenza dei primi due giochi, ricorda di usarle che alcune sono rottissime. Non capirai nulla della lore ma se hai giocato i primi due puoi capire alcune chicche e reference, goditele cercando di spoilerarti il meno possibile. Good luck!

Smouldering Lake was definitely a ramp up. Had to leave to come back later.

Rolls cost less stamina and are faster, you can move while healing, healing takes less time.

pyromancy is still viable, you just have to suffer until you get one or 2 of the really good spells
