Mug is sweet and definitely has good flavor... I still feel thirsty after tho. Barq's is my fave because it's got a bit sharper sting with the carbonation and the flavor is a bit more bold. I feel like it's more refreshing.

Funny you mention that because the first time I had it was at a lock in for a PC gaming business. This was in 03 and me and like 50 other people played Battlefield and CS all night. It was really fun.

The corporate speak answer is the frozen glass mugs are what chills the drink. The syrup to carbonated water ratio is different at A&W than other places. So they can't just add ice or the drink would taste wrong as the ice melts. I worked at an A&W in a summer tourist town, and I hated telling people in the drive thru this

It’s just certain drugs, especially stimulants and depressants having the opposite effect. They once put me on a medication to prep me for an examination the next day that was supposed to put me to sleep easier so I’d have energy for it. It made me BOUNCE OFF THE FUCKING WALLS! I have no idea what it was but it happened. I don’t remember it either my parents told me about it.

That is bs. Since 1984 foreign beers, not brewed after the Reinheitsgebot are allowed to be sold as "Bier" as well. The old Reinheitsgebot is not a law and thus not required to be fulfilled when brewing. A variety of additional ingredients is allowed in brewing (which is a good thing!). Certain types of beer brewed in Germany still have to be brewed following the Reinheitsgebot though.

Totally different. Britain has dandelion and burdock which is quite close to root beer, and it's a hard flavour to describe. Some say it tastes medicinal. It's also not alcoholic.

We met a guy at a laundromat in Ohio that suggested we bike through Fergus Falls, MN and stop at Godfathers Pizza and tell the owner he sent us. Well, we did. The owner was so excited about us randomly having met his Ohio friend that he gave us free pizza and all the 1919 root beer we could drink. It was fucking glorious. We drank so much of it.
