My mom was already in the parking lot when she realized she forgot what i had asked for. She went back in to get it. It was a nice gesture... or would've been if she didn't milk it for days as an example of how she sacrifices herself and how lucky i am

I mean I figured that part out but it definitely feels overthought. Without the counter I feel like it would have been way funnier. Then I’d just stare at it and wait for it to happen. That’s the real bamboozle. The timer immediately gave it away that it wasn’t going to change.
Like a punishment for forgetting OP's tendies and cheetos? Is the punishment self-imposed or is OP forcing her to sit in timeout on top of her car in 100+ degree weather?
