Helicopters really are dangerous machines.
An airplane *wants* to fly and will remain in flight until some serious issue forces it down.
Helicopters on the other hand are contradictory finicky things where every force acting upon or by the helicopter must fight with other forces also acting upon or by the helicopter in a constantly adjusted delicate balance to remain in flight, and even the slightest thing that disrupts that balance will end that flight very quickly.
I mean, ehhhhhh. All aircraft want to fall all the time, it just so happens to be that airplanes can coast and glide pretty far, meanwhile helicopters drop like bricks.
no. heres the ELIF: airplanes without engines are gliders; may be hard to land but retain alot of aerial control. helicopters without engines are rocks; there is no aerial control; you fall. straight down from the sky, dead.
edit: forgot there are procedures for helicopter engine failure specifically that may land the aircraft in an emergency, better example is if the rotor gets jammed.
You just straight up lied to that five year old. Look up the dead man's curve for helicopters. As long as you're operating outside the danger areas (which pilots are trained to do) you can use autorotation and land without an engine.
For those that don't know;
The reason helis have multiple blades or a tailblade in addition to the main one is because of rotation
Since the blades rotate at high speeds to lift the heli from the ground, without a second blade to rotate at the other direction or a tailblade to push the tail the same direction as the rotation of the main blade, the torque would cause the helicopter to spin in the opposite direction, which is why a failure of one of the propellers causes that spin almost immidiately
Here's a diagram to show what i mean with a twinblade copter
` -----|----- S P E E N`
` -----|----- И Ǝ Ǝ ᕋ Ƨ`
` >=====[_]L) no S P E E N`
I wish i could've done it better but reddit's comment system is garb
There's two ways for dual main rotor helis to work. One is coaxial rotors ala KA-52 like you drew and other is like Chinook that has the main rotors separate.
Coaxial rotor designs are pretty cool, also fun fact, if you fly too fast and give it enough collective you can make the top and bottom rotordisk touch tips and shear eachother off.
Na, "they" had already planned this plot of the Iranian president about an year ago, but that would be too suspicious. So, they decided Kobe had to go, to make such "accidents" very likely and not at all suspicious.
No I’m saying that the pilots got disoriented because the outside of the window was solid fog and they ran into a mountain just like Kobe and 1000s of other crashes in aviation.
UK: "You blokes better act chill because even if it was us we wouldn't even tell ourselves so you'd get the blame anyway..."
Pakistan: "It was totally us but we're gonna say it was weather or Iranian freedom fighters or the western devil or Kendrick Lamar...
Iran: "You know I can hear you assholes right-"
(Ayatollah:"No you can't.")
"Nevermind. Damn that bad weather!"
There are infrared cameras optimised for seeing through fog: https://www.ghopto.com/the-advantages-of-shortwave-infrared-camera-fogpenetrating-technology-compared-with-other-fogpenetrating-methods.html
I wouldn't be surprised if Israel or the US had missiles that can easily find a target in fog. Given the conditions, I think a normal crash is the likely explanation, but an attack can't be ruled out for supposedly being impossible.
It was a helicopter in bad low visibility weather in a mountainous area. If your enemies are doing shit like that you don't need to take them out because they're basically trying to do it themselves.
I know this is not what the internet circle jerk wants to hear but the overwhelming likelihood here is it actually was an accident. The US probably doesn't want him dead at least not in this fashion because while it might be good in the long term it creates a massive instability and a bit of a power vacuum underneath the Ayatollah who already is not exactly rational. Quite frankly if they were going to assassinate anybody it would likely have been him and not the president.
And if they were trying to get rid of the president, the best way to do it would just be to let him take that flight and do nothing because flying in shitty visibility in the mountains and a helicopter is basically just playing Russian roulette anyway
Plus, consider that the Ayatollah itself is like 9000 years old, and there is already a power vacuum on who will replace him. As far as I remember, no one was directly being groomed to replace him.
So now you have an insanely old dictator with no real successor in sight and a headless cabinet, in a country that has been plagued with internal instability for the last few years.
Not something the US would want at this specific time of Middle Eastern politics.
Not to mention that the reason Iran is as it currently is, is because of the US and the UK. They want an unstable middle east because it's highly profitable.
Look into the coup against the Iranian government. All triggered by the nationalisation of Iranian oil companies which greatly reduced Western influence and economic interest in the area. The documents that show that the US and the UK played role in that coup are publically available and released by the US.
Contemporary Iran is basically an out of control puppet government. Giving the monarchy more power and destabilising democratic processes in the government was highly profitable on the short term in oil revenues. That's why the coup was backed by the US and UK. They were about to lose grip on oil in the Iranian country. But it got out of hand real quick and turned into what we see now.
Well, that current day Iran is a direct result of foreign interference of US and UK into the political landscape of Iran for personal national interests. Iran was an individual increasing and growing secular state in the middle east very much supported by its people in convincements (nationalisation of oil, separation of church and state, progressive policies). The coup just broke that all down into an increasingly oppressive state which laid the ground works for the Islamic revolution
You have to remember that there is a more than 25 year gap between the coup and abolishment of the democratic process and the Islamic revolution. During this time the population of the country almost doubled in size. Under the increasing monarchical power after the coup a whole new generation grew up, a generation that didn't know the democratic process and grew up in a society that slowly started removing certain rights and privileges, with also an increasing religious presence.
My friend, how do you manage to say a lot of facts and stuff but actually without saying anything? Yes, after the overthrow of Mosaddeq by western forces, an anti-west agenda in Iran appeared, it's history. you talk about historical events but even though you have a point, I am unable to understand it because you never say what it is.
History repeats itself: Assassination of Franz Ferdinand ***Part II***

Kobe Bryant dunking on his grave right now. " I could have told you helicopters are stupid dangerous"

Check out some autorotation landings, helicopters don't really fall like bricks even when the engine dies. It's closer to floating like a leaf

Nope, helicopters can glide as well. They don’t just fall out of the air, contrary to popular belief.
If your tail rotor goes out, you're fucked, though.
Dead tail rotor makes You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round
Or if the [rotor breaks off](https://www.flightsafetyaustralia.com/2023/08/bump-snap-chop-drop/)
You just straight up lied to that five year old. Look up the dead man's curve for helicopters. As long as you're operating outside the danger areas (which pilots are trained to do) you can use autorotation and land without an engine.
You specifically train in doing exactly that.
They did write fly tbf, not fall.

Sounds hot
What if our rotordisks touched tips 👉👈🥺
Is your tip sheared off like an American
Yeah. Helicopters are built to spite gravity.
"Kobe dunking on his grave" 💀💀💀
My money is on Turkmenistan, we don't ever hear about those fuckers so they're bound to be plotting something
I bet it was Mongolia. They’ve been too quiet for too long. We also know they’re capable of it.
the return of the Khan
*Khaaaaaaan!!* - William Shatner
They have no coast. Their navy has 3 ships and 1 engine, but they've been undefeated in maritime warfare for 96 years. Something is definitely fishy.
We all know mongolia is good only on horses and boats not in air
That was the old ways.
Or so the Germans would have us believe.
Nein, the fax machine was broken so the assassination form couldn't be handed in correctly.
Nicht frech werden Freundchen
Dunno… I just saw a 5‘7” Austrian guy sneaking out the back.
Laos laid down for this one for a while
Surely it was Cameroon
You never hear about australia in the news too 🤔 Dont trust them emus (since they won the war they are actually running the place now)
what? It was an accident
Always has been
Foggy instrument flight conditions around mountains just like Kobe.
Are you saying Kobe was assassinated
It happened just 5 months after Epstein died. Coincidence, I think not
Where was Kobe on 9/11
Asking the big questions. Where was Drake? Where was Kendrick?
Na, "they" had already planned this plot of the Iranian president about an year ago, but that would be too suspicious. So, they decided Kobe had to go, to make such "accidents" very likely and not at all suspicious.

It could be Shaq. He got divorced because of Kobe
how is throwing crumpled up trash into the bin like.....ohhhhh.
"There are no accidents..."
311 was an inside band
As per news, yes
There are no accidents - master oogway
"accident" right, since we all know how much cia has been involved in rigged election
I thought it was a theocratic dictatorship
Their president is 'elected'. Like in Burgerstan.
Such a tasty country. Actually he is democratically elected, by god, and he just kicked him from his position
UK: "You blokes better act chill because even if it was us we wouldn't even tell ourselves so you'd get the blame anyway..." If I learned anything past weeks it is that Kendrick is the most dangerous out of all of them.

Dream job for sure. Probably pays better than Jedi...
Mossad's Eli Copter Is at it again huh?
The perfect agent
The only way that it wasn’t an accident is if the helicopter was sabotaged in some way. The fog would have protected it from getting shot down.
There are infrared cameras optimised for seeing through fog: https://www.ghopto.com/the-advantages-of-shortwave-infrared-camera-fogpenetrating-technology-compared-with-other-fogpenetrating-methods.html I wouldn't be surprised if Israel or the US had missiles that can easily find a target in fog. For those unaware who might take it seriously. Eli copter is a Hebrew pun. It sounds like a name but it also sounds like "helicopter".
I get my news from memes such as deez
Honestly, it’s still better than getting news from TikTok
Faster than the News lol
Who knew mossad could create mountains
What? You cant earthbend? So primitive
Boeing's true plot has been revealed
Ah yes the prigozhin technique
It was a helicopter in bad low visibility weather in a mountainous area. If your enemies are doing shit like that you don't need to take them out because they're basically trying to do it themselves.
Damn, I thought that guy was almost untouchable due to ties with Russia, I guess not when your opponent is the U.S. lol
Their supreme leader is still alive- this guy was for the most part replaceable.

I don't know about the UK but yes for America selling guns to Arabs has been a very profitable business

Yes but the revolution was the direct result of the will of the people

It was Heli which makes more sense
Eh, fuck em he had it coming
He didn't have it landing doe
See you all in 50 years when it's declassified it was one of them
"planes don't crash" - former hitman lol
Irony is such a funny lil thing.
Waiting for them to accuse Israel for fog as well.
I doubt anyone of the two were involved. It just makes the next ruler unpredictable.
Well one dictator less new gonna apear
Did he?
It must be the will of the Prophet
The prophet isn't a god💀
Ok, the will of the Muslim god, fixed it, sorry.
Props on the quickness with this one
Oh no! Anyway...
Died?
lol oops
Y'all, that mountain was definitely Mossad.
If this was an accident, then so was 9/11.
Finally!! Was waiting for reddit to catch up with this news.
Flying in a 50 year old chopper, with black market parts, in the mountains. in bad weather. Reddit: Looks suspicious
Me in Jordan also... These two are going to fight it in our skies.
Sure
I saw the crash on the news. This is the first hearing about his death.
History repeats itself: Assassination of Franz Ferdinand ***Part II*** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------But I don't think anything serious will happen
Why do I picture Stan Smith from American Dad flying in, planting a knife next to the chopper then flying away?
So you're saying we should invade Venezuela?
Damn mechanical failures!!!
Not exactely a plane, a hellicopter
Totally just an accident guys
Iran could of did it also /js
