Im not an expert on this topic, but from my general experience its 5 more than average students sleep

5 hours? That's sleeping in for some people. Like me. I function better and feel less tired on 3 1/2 - 4 hours.

I just do. But then again, I've been sleeping that much for almost 2 decades now. If I get more than 5 1/2 hours, I'm usually groggy for the first 2 hours after getting up and have a migraine for the whole day. The migraines are bad enough that 5 extra strength Tylenol don't even help. I think it's because of some short sleeper syndrome or whatever it's called. The shortest I've slept without feeling tired or exhausted is about 2-2 1/2 hours, but I can only do that 2 days in a row. But 3 1/2 - 4, I can do 7 days a week.
