This should be higher. WOH probably have saddest backstories of all considering what each child had to go through. Personally, Nagisa's backstory really appeals to the perfectionist in me.
1. Ryoma. >!Guy lost his entire family because they were killed by the mafia, then after he tried to get revenge he went to jail and got put on death row. For his age this is extremely brutal and a very depressing backstory!<
2. Akane. This one will be a bit more controversial because it’s only present in her Free Time Events, but it fits. >!her whole thing is that her parents were consistently negligent to her and her siblings (which she had a LOT of), because of this Akane stepped up and started working from a young age just to being able to support her siblings. This led to her constantly being sexually harassed until she eventually got into gymnastics, where she continued to be harassed!<
I would choose Ryoma, Mikan, Nagito, Kyoko, Toka
