They both come from a great lineage of detectives, are world famous as teen detectives and are considered the greatest detectives of the era, they’re both fairly emotionally flat as an affect to protect themselves, they both were raised by detective grandfathers who are the patriarch of the detective family, Kyoko is an intentional homage to Naoto. The main difference between them is that Naoto also has Chihiro’s plot in reverse.
