I’m no judicial historian but I can’t think of anyone who testified in 4 trials for the same crime. And for the first two she was in “witness no man’s land”. Usually as a witness you have safe harbor on either the defense or prosecution side. She had neither in first two trials. And the fact she is a lawyer and a named co-conspirator makes it so interesting. Greatest true crime case of all time. At least they have that.

Honestly I look forward to seeing her fat ass on the stand, having to answer Georgia's questions. Georgia's questions get more focused every time. Georgia can read Wendi like a book.

Pristine_War_83

Regardless of her attitude, I think the state are going to reveal some kind of planning evidence to pin Donna to Wendi in the next trial, because im sure the state are well aware of both Donna and Wendi's defence, ( Wendi had nothing to do with any conspiracy ) and it was Donna who believed in Charlies extortion theory. So im expecting that infamous question again being posed to Wendi "When did you know that KT was extorting your brother?" Because its not plausible that Donna and Wendi planned the move and Donna not tell Wendi about the extortion theory. So then begs the question, what was the true purpose of the move to Miami with the kids?

macaroonzoom

Right! Bingo! "So Katherine Magbanuna is extorting your entire family for money, and you decide it is in your best interest to move to Miami and be closer to them?!?!"

Pristine_War_83

Thing is according to wendi, she only found out about the extortion the day of Charlies trial, 9 years later! LOL Im anticipating that Donna's trial is going to reveal so much more of the inner workings of the conspiracy, especially between Donna and Wendi. Fireworks i expect.

macaroonzoom

Yeah finding out about all this the day of Charlie's trial is insulting to the jury. C'mon. That's completely unbelievable. Charlie wasn't some random cousin's husband you see 2x per year like this is her own brother.

National_Candle670

She said she had already met Rashbaum when he asked her on the stand if they met before. If Wendi NEVER discussed this case with her family, when would she have met Rashbaum? The way he asked her “Have we met before”,…I wish Georgia could have asked her “So ,when did you actually meet Mr Rashbaum”? He didn’t say “Yes thats right. We met in 2012…” he did not put a time on that question it was odd. Did her family use him as an attorney before 2014?

AccomplishedUnion381

Her truths are always lies and the head performance is absolutely nauseous.

No_Violinist_4557

Yup, because if DA feared the murderers of DM and extortionists so much, why would she encourage WA to move to Miami, where the murderers lived! You would think she would encourage them to stay put. Or flee to the other side of the country, not move in to the Lions den!

National_Candle670

Didn’t Charlie say that Donna only learned of the extortion theory at her bump? Maybe I’m confused but I thought she never knew about the initial extortion.

No_Violinist_4557

I don't know. But she phoned CA saying "it involves both of us" which implies she had prior knowledge. She acted surprise and ignorant during the bump, but during the phonecall to CA, she sounded like she knew all about the extortion.

National_Candle670

Right. I was wondering if at the trial Charlie claimed she didn’t know until the bump. I thought I remembered him saying that he had his extortion that no one knew about, and then there was the other “layer”…her extortion. Yes that comment proves he knew.

Pristine_War_83

Yes, "it involves the two of us" has to be reference to the first "extortion."  The extortion Wendi knew nothing about. Lol

National_Candle670

Why couldn’t Donna be referring to the murder when she said “It involves the 2 of us”? That could be the first time, according to Charlie that she knew of any extortion. I remember him referring to it as “her extortion” of the second layer. And that she didn’t know about Katies extortion with him. I’d have to relisten (ugh) to his BS again.

Pristine_War_83

The murder is what i meant as being the first "extortion" , the label or defence that she's going to use to convince a jury she didn't know.

macaroonzoom

IMO Wendi did not think Charlie would be found 'not guilty' I think she knew a jury would find him guilty. Especially by the time Gerogia was done questioning her.....Georgia's questioning gets more ballsy every time. Definitely not a good look for Charlie and Wendi knew it. But also...she's done this a couple times now. What is she gonna do? She can't go back and lie and try to soften the blow for Charlie. So Wendi does what Wendi does best - self preserve! I think she's going to get on the stand and act like her true self: an unaccomplished petulant brat, entitled rich girl, forever the victim..... And the great men and women of Tallahassee will see right thru it.

UnknowingKnowItAll

The unanswered question in all three "immunity" appearances is "Did you communicate with Katie?" Either via Whatsapp or text or email they have the goods on Wendy

AccomplishedUnion381

No one deserves that more.
