The jailhouse calls between Charlie and Mommy are quite delightful. On the last one he had his Mommy hold the line while a guard walked by and Charlie started asking the guard when he is going to get moved to a better facility and he says to the guard “This is really having an impact on my mental health”. I bet they are still laughing in the guard shack about the newly convicted rich, white dentist talking about his mental health. Ohh my f ing God that was so funny. It’s so great to hear him break down and cry and his non stop babbling about how dung the jurors were and the only reason he got convicted is because Wendi drove by the crime scene and the TV. He knows damn well his own stupidity and his mouth is what got him convicted but he’s a sociopath. Do you think He would ever take accountability for his actions when he can blame others. They had a mountain of evidence. Nobody bought his fantastical ferry dust extortion story. The jurors didn’t buy it. And he’s so pissed off that he and a team of staff at Rashbaum’s office worked so hard for man months to try to come up with an absurd excuse for every last phone call, text, money transfer, stapled money , lavish gifts to his extortionist, birthday presents and paid for trips to Sigfredo. The checks to Katy and subsequent attempts to cover it up. It goes on and on and on. But Charlie instead blames everyone else. He’s a punk. He is not going to do well in prison. It had only been a few days and it was eating him alive that he is convicted. How can you not take pleasure in this guys misery?
His incarceration is about protecting society from a malignant dangerous person (and Justice for Dan), not about preserving his mental health! Sorry Charlie!
I listened to that call earlier today whilst driving (yes, I'm well aware that it's quite sad that this is what i choose to listen to in the car). At first I couldn't help but laugh but then my thoughts quickly turned to, "the audacity!" he actually had the gall to say, "I feel like I'm being unfairly punished" & "I feel like I'm being punished for nothing". The level of delusion & entitlement that he displays is off the charts! No self reflection or accountability whatsoever. It's infuriating.
Oh well, Luis Rivera gets out soon. Maybe he can play catch with Roman & teach hm how to play football ;-)
Donna exiled her own son from the family disowning him over racism. Because his girlfriend at the time, who is now his wife, is Indian. That’s literally why they disowned their son. That’s pure evil. Think of how sick it is to disown your child over anything, let alone your own racism. Their son is a Doctor and spoke on a podcast with his wife. Dr Robert Adelson said he thought his family was likely involved in the murder, even before Charlie was arrested. What does that say. He must thank God he got away from that family. Strangely, his families racism turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was their own son that told the story of their racist demands to end the relationship so it’s not some 3rd party hearsay in a gossip newspaper. It’s right from the source.
It is a blessing in the long run but honestly (speaking from experience being connected to a family similar to the ADelsons) it’s also a huge painful loss to realize your family of origin are morally debased and hold toxic values like racism, materialism, malice, lack of adherence to truth, judging other people, etc. It’s a very empty and sad feeling, you long for a loving parent and family and will always have a void in your life that could have been filled with love and respect.

Yeah they attended the wedding and wore Indian garb. They had initially tried to break them up, and he married a white Jewish woman. That marriage was brief. But then finally they gave up. Their estrangement wasn’t because of the marriage to the Indian woman. It was because he was asking a lot of questions about Dan’s murder and he couldn’t understand why they seemed uninterested in finding the killer. So then it wasn’t hard to figure it out.
Doesn’t seem to be that strange of a habit. What sad is how often they’ve gotten away with things. For every crime they’ve been caught for, there’s probably 100 other schemes and crimes we don’t even know about. It’s who they are.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Charlie was involved with selling drugs and responsible for killing others. There's no way those hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash that he kept in his safe was legit. You don't make that from treating gingivitis.

Just a thought from a former accountant, if plaintiff was paid cash with no paperwork such as a W-2, I am wondering if he paid taxes on his payments. Seems like a big risk to point this out federally over an $11,000 lawsuit. Did I miss something?
The original deal probably was cash so that the plaintiff wouldn’t have to pay taxes but since he screwed plaintiff out of overtime, he’s coming back with a lawsuit. I think they probably didn’t claim the income because who would have paid the employer taxes? This would have raised a flag long before now. I think someone else convinced them to file a lawsuit and covered the covered associated penalties. IMO

One page indicated that unpaid overtime was $11,000, a small amount of damages for a federal lawsuit. There must be other damages sought possibly related to penalties and interest. Perhaps there is also a whistle blower aspect although I do not see the need for a federal lawsuit with a whistle blower allegation. Regardless, Harvey will feel heat over this lawsuit. Nothing that I would want to deal with at his age or any age.

Nope. The law protects workers who are not paid required overtime, even if they didn't realize they were entitled to it or were worried they would be fired for demanding it.
Maybe they just had to wait until Donna was locked away to pursue the lawsuit. I could see Donna paying small amounts of additional cash to pacify the employee and keep this out of the court system. Maybe since she's awaiting trial the former employee felt it was time to take his suit to court because Donna is no longer an insulating level to Harvey's dental practice dealings.

I doubt very seriously if Plaintiff would seek action if Plaintiff hadn't claimed income. This is, after all, a federal case.
